As you all know the European Championship is coming soon ! I wanted to know who do you think will win ?
In my opinion, France , England and Germany are the three biggest pretenders to the trophy.
In fact France are pretenders because the tournament happens in France and they will be pushed by the French people in addition to their good team. England has been really impressive during all the preparation and won all their matches. And finally Germany, even if they didn't play very well during the preparation, stays Germany (who won the world Cup last year) !

Nowadays it has become less different in Gap between the nations and Euro competition has ever been won by a smaller teams surprisingly. I don’t believe Spain would achieve such a dominance by three consecutive winners. The winner is predictable to be either France or England.

So much is wrong with this post.

1. The Euro cup has been won by a smaller nation. Greece in 2004.
2. The winner is predictable to be France? Yeah they're at home but they won't win it easily.
3. England won't even come close to winning it.

I don't get this post either. Germany is currently the only world class team in Europe, but Spain still have no doubt a world class squad and can show up whenever they want. France is very good also and are at home. Italy may not be very good anymore, but if they get Germany, they'll beat them like they always do.

I don't get this post either. Germany is currently the only world class team in Europe, but Spain still have no doubt a world class squad and can show up whenever they want. France is very good also and are at home. Italy may not be very good anymore, but if they get Germany, they'll beat them like they always do.

So if germany are currently the only world class team in europe surely that means its theres to lose does it not either way i think germany will win it without anyone causing them too many problems, hopefully im wrong i think its a good chance of a semi final for england but no doubt we wont make it that far as per usual.

Football is not a narrow sport though! Also I said that Spain have a world class squad and they can show up whenever. They can become world class again in just a match. France while I don't believe they are World Class, they aren't very far off from it and also have a very good squad. Lastly, Germany won't be beating Italy if they play each other.

Italy do have a good record vs germany but they really are shit these days( they would still beat us though) surely germany could manage to beat em if they came up against each other. I agree spain are still a great side and france have home advantage but if germany are at there best you must agree that no one should come close to them.

No, I don't agree because as I said Spain at their best could probably beat Germany, and Germany aren't exactly consistent performers. They were completely outplayed by France at the World Cup if I remember correctly, and almost lost to Algeria but then they go on to batter Brazil so its weird with them.

3) Denmark and Greece also did not close to win prior to the tournament.

You did say they will win it easily actually. You said the winner is predictable which means your assuming that France is far superior to the other teams. Its not really predictable. Denmark was a good team when they won it as far as I'm aware, Greece was a complete shock, but again you said its predictable that England would win it so your comparison to Greece and Denmark doesn't really work.

Germany are the stand out side. But I don't see any reason why England can't win it. There aren't that many sides better than them in the tournament. If the draw falls right they could get to the semis quite easily and then they're only two games away. Alternatively they could get unlucky and play Germany in the 2nd Round!

Spot on - as you say Germany are the obvious favourites, but then you've got five or six teams that aren't too far apart in terms of quality.

Scary to think the current Germany crop won't peak for another few tournaments.

Reus, Hummels, Gundogan, Müller, Ozil, Gotze, Draxler all in their early to mid twenties. Then you have the likes of Ginter, Meyer, Goretzka, Rudiger and many more coming through.

I think we'll win the tournament purely based on the fact that all the other big nations are rebuilding and Germany don't have the hunger to win a Euros after a World Cup. Having not changed managers and no CF and all. I doubt most posters who predicted Germany to win the tournament have watched them play since Brazil. They've been very predictable.
