How massive are we? First ever game at this level is on TV! If you closely look at the away fans that game you will see the realisation of hope disappearing as Sutton net a fourth.

There is hope!

It has been years since we won our opening fixture.

Sutton are going to give us half the ground, right?

Gateshead away on the final day looks like one for the diary. Actually, our whole fixture list is odd, with us playing everyone southern and close in the first and third quarters, and everyone grim and northern in the second and fourth.

Last season in the FA Cup we gave Wimbledon 1500 and 750 or so to both Leeds and Arsenal, so exceedingly unlikely that Orient will get 2500+ tickets

1,500 sounds about right. The game being on TV might mitigate it a bit, but I'd imagine our first non league fixture since 1905/match under new ownership will bring out a reasonably big following. More than 750 anyway.

If segregated I'd be shocked if we sent lower than the full Collingwood Road end plus seats in the stand. ( no offence intended but Orient lack the appeal of Leeds or Arsenal both of whom got the bare minimum amount of tickets for a FA Cup game) You may get 1200 due to season ticket holders in the main stand. That's if we segregate of course.

Our first 2 home games are amongst the biggest of the season...Wrexham and Hartlepool, and I will miss both of them as I am on holiday in Spain.
Gutted.
Why couldn't we have had Guiseley and Fylde ( no disrespect...!! )

Well actually I hate people who say that because there is a huge amount of disrespect implied, but nevermind.

1,200 should be enough, with the game on TV anyone who wants a ticket should get one.

Its Bromley away ten days later and Maidenhead away on Bank Holiday Monday I'm worried about, Maidenhead could well be taken over by us :bdick:

Our first 6 away games are all within the M25.

Bromley holds almost 5,000, what are you worried about? You'll get all you need, if not, go in the home end.

I'd like to think we'll get at least 1k, but their away end is a shambles - If one even exists! :animatedf:

Absolute joke. Dread to think whos sorting these fixtures. Gateshead get leyton orient away during week and torquay away in winter as per usual. Still with halifax back in league gateshead dont get them over xmas, a fixture that they have never won

I think Bromley may be able to fit 1000 in their away end at most

It really is fucking morons in charge of this isn't it?

We lose Tranmere from Xmas/NY to be replaced with our Yorkshire rivals Halifax. Oh and the two Tranmere games move to Tuesday as well just to take the piss a bit more. Sutton, Dagenham and Bromley all away on Tuesday nights. And Woking away on Good Friday. And then they make Sutton travel to us between Xmas and Dover up here the sat of BH weekend. Cretins.

What I do like though is our official site listing all the fixtures but with each round of FA Cup inc final just in case we need to rearrange a few games!

10 years ago we played Torquay in our first home league game, on a Tuesday Night, and lost 0-3. We ended up winning the league with 101 points, is that an omen?

I'm hoping the first part is.

May go along again but only if we get put in the stand this time and not that corner section. I'd like to see the atmosphere generated if 300 or so Gulls are sharing that stand behind the goal..

Surely you'd segregate if 1,000+ turned up? Sounds a recipe for disaster if not.

Our general rule of thumb is only to segregate on Police advice. I'd be shocked if we didn't segregate v Orient, but at the end of the 15/16 season season when ourselves and Ebbsfleet were going for the title we played 'fleet 2 weeks before the end of the season, 1000 or so away fans no segregation and no bother on the terraces. We Suttonites are a mature and sensible lot

Dagenham as the festive fixtures thank goodness.
Ah yes, the things people don't tell you. You'll be on the telly WAY WAY more than you're used to in the League. It'll feel like you're Man U, with regular weird early Saturday kick off times at games 200 miles away. All for a tiny TV audience that will probably be outnumbered by your travelling fans.

Oh, and you get about a fiver for each appearance too - no tasty TV money here.

Sutton away two days before Christmas is the stand out daft one. Midweekers at home to Woking and Orient and away to Maidenhead don't seem particularly bright scheduling either. Localish games like the two v Macclesfield make more sense in midweek to me.

This is what I'm worried about, as someone who only goes to virtually every game in a season, I'm concerned that I will arrange for my travel to a far away outpost like Guisley, only for those bastards at BT to move it at the last minute.

I have just booked my Liverpool hotel for our Bigshot clash in October, it will feel like being a football league club again ;)

Let us win 3-0 and I'll happily support you winning the league.

Remember that game well, especially the bullet Zebroski header from an out swinging Nicholson corner. Can also remember posting on this forum (well, TFF) about the game - but not exactly why either of those memories has stuck around.

Tranmere on the opening day is quite good for us I think - there's gonna be what, 500-1000 away fans, being the Opening Day and an August weekender in Torquay. A crowd of about 4000 could be on, and despite being a tough game it might be a slight leveller for us that neither side will be fully up to speed.

Christmas games are as good as we were going to get, so can't complain there.

For me personally I will definitely be at Barrow in September, and Hartlepool could be fun right at the end of the season.

First away game to start for 5 or 6 years. Pleased with that, although it's a shame it wasn't somewhere that we could get train tickets cheaper than £72...

Torquay away last day of the season, Maidstone at home second game in, Bromley over Christmas and Dover for the Bank Holiday fixtures. This pleases me.

Solihull is currently our owner relatively long midweek journey, although Tranmere (FATR3), Hartlepool (FATR4) and Gateshead (FATSF first leg) all away have the potential to be rearranged. Gulp. Still not as bad as Barrow away on a Wednesday night with an 8:55 KO mind! Or a Tuesday night up in Fleetwood to see us lose 6-2.

Can't wait for Christmas. Orient is a lot more appealing than Braintree, plus there's the added bonus of a game in-between unlike last season. Ebbsfleet is easy to get to as well which makes it even better.

Our first 11 games of the season are in London. That's fucking ridiculous.

Bt will show you often as they make a meal of the ex football league teams and bull them up like they barcelona and show them every other week. Nothing against leyton orient by the way just gets to me how unfair bt are. Every team should be shown at home at least once during every season. Sadlt bt dont work like that
