He has a cult hero status at Pools, I never really rated him that high, worked hard and liked to stick the boot in but that was about it, some numpties are already suggesting we offer him a short term deal :fl:

Also heard that Adam Bartlett is wrapping it in with your lot to go full time coaching at Boro? That true or just a rumour?

I think he's already at Boro on full-time coaching role with Middlesbrough's academy.
I don't know the full story but he was missing for the trip to North Ferriby, and then played against Spenny on Monday. From what I've heard Boro are wanting his services for Saturday afternoons?
Shame like if It's true, he will be sorely missed between the sticks.

We're having a very indifferent start to the season. One which begs the question of if we make the play offs, can we possibly expect to win them?

Losses so far to Spennymoor, Salford and Tamworth.
Wins against Curzon, Leamington and Gainsborough
A draw against Harrogate.

We are struggling defensively which can surely only be down to the loss of Montrose. The defence looks more exposed and shaky this season. We've conceded 10 already which is almost 1/3rd of our total goals conceded in the whole of last season.

Against Tamworth, we were missing Oswell and McKenna through injury and have been without O'Halloran for a while which doesn't help. Hopefully they will be available for this weekend's game against in form BPA.

Really hoping Stopforth is available (still waiting for International Clearance!). He'll be a big player for us like he was last season.

Cieron Keane next out the revolving door.
Didn't seem like your manager liked him based on Monday's match. Not sure why, seemed decent to me and shackled Ellis Myles effectively, but Kiddy manager and assistant seemed to on his back - and then subbed at half time..

He's not been that great tbf. Joel Taylor is much better.

DarkSithLord looks like he's signing for you.

Confirmed. Underwhelmed. Had him on trial in pre season last year. Look pretty lightweight. We could do with a holding midfielder though after Cecil Nyoni was released. 22nd signing now.

Did Alfreton not see how shambolic he was against them?!

Certainly within the top 3 worst-ever left-back i've seen play for us.

Still, hes still pretty young, has experience at this level and could improve so best of luck to him. Like most of our summer signings, think it was a case of a mismatch.

Rumours of Fraser Horsall playing for us, and i've heard James O'Connor might be making a drop to come and play for us.

So we've replaced Liam Daly with Fraser Horsfall on loan. Was apparently art Salford and Stalybridge last season.

We've signed nick houghton on a season long loan, WE DO NOT NEED A MIDFIELDER! we already have midfielders out of position at left back and up front. We'll, at least O'Keefe will be getting less game time

He was included in the team photoshoot in the first matchday programme of the season.
Cheers! Fewster what a turncoat.
I don't think Mr.Groves is content sitting in this division for much longer, money speaks volumes.

Have to disagree here, we desperately need a playmaker, haven't had one since Tom Baker. Hopefully this lad fits the bill, if nothing else it should signal time up for O'Keefe. Just maybe the forwards might get some service, shame he didn't arrive before Gornell left.

Saturday's fixtures Sept 2nd

Chorley vs York City
Curzon Ashton vs Salford City
Harrogate Town vs Brackley Town
Kidderminster Harriers vs Boston United
North Ferriby United vs Tamworth
Nuneaton Town vs Alfreton Town
Southport vs Darlington
Spennymoor Town vs Gainsborough Trinity
Stockport County vs Bradford Park Avenue
AFC Telford United vs Blyth Spartans
FC United of Manchester vs Leamington

Looking at those fixtures - Match of the day has gotta be the top of the table clash between Harrogate Town and Brackley Town. Both on 19 points after a blistering start to the season.
And both sides still unbeaten.

Beating me to it DOT.

We have to me.......a worthless game. No chance of points and therefore result isn't what I am focused on......its performance.

We look utterly awful at present. Have ditch everything we knew to adapt an approach which has us blindly focused on a 0-0 and unable to think of anyway to turn it around once we go a goal down......then on 60 mins we seem to panic about it all and collapse.

Since it is a no pressure game with result not the main thing FOR THE LOVE OF GOD JF go back to last seasons style......4 at the back, Cummins up front with 3 players supporting him and pass the ball to death.........and then just have a bloody go!

I respect your opinion, but our midfield is bypassed every week by the punting that the back line do, it was the same last season, who will he replace anyway? Dale and Jake shoe ins, Wilson has been one of our best players and Blakey is one of the best passers we have.

Away to Nuneaton tommorrow and Leamington on Tuesday. Represents a decent chance to start to rectify our god awful away record. Very encouraging bank holiday weekend so hopefully we can pick up from where we left off.

A 2 year deal for him? Good luck with that.

Not sure Dale is fit, Blakeman will probably be at LB, ( don't know why), Wilson seems to be played up front, so he should fit in in Dale's spot. Personally would leave Wilson out, and play the lad from Fylde(Hughes). Again I would go 4-3-3 but he won't, will he?

What we really need is someone about 20 foot tall up front!

Next stop Southport for me I'm looking forward to going to this game not sure what to expect like performance wise especially with the last three games being somewhat quite puzzling to see where we really are in the pecking order in this league.

Out of the last 3 matches theirs only the Ferriby game that we should have, well, quite frankly should have won.

One things for sure it's gonna be another tough game against Southport I'll be content with a draw come the final whistle.

That's a good signing, I was quite surprised he didn't go full time with Salford?
The lad was very well liked by their supporters.

So we've replaced Liam Daly with Fraser Horsfall on loan. Was apparently art Salford and Stalybridge last season.

Fraser Horsfall was outstanding when he played against us in April when we got obliterated 5-1 by Salford City. He was a thorn in our side with his presence in our penalty area.

Great to see that 4 of our development squad players have made the step up to our first team, with another 3 gaining experience on loans at clitheroe and prescot cables. Hope they impress as they have looked useful from when I've been on watching them from time to time.

Good to hear, hopefully he's good then.

We've also added Neville Longbottom....sorry Will Longbottom and Andre Wright. Wright could be a great player at this level if we use him as a striker. Dunno much about Longbottom but he's played 9 times for Doncaster so that can't be bad.

I can see why Boston have had so many reds. Proper dirty team.

1-0 up from a moment of madness from their keeper. Brandon Hall does brilliantly to catch a free kick, quickly gets up hoofs it to Sonupe and their keeper comes charging out, Sonupe controls it turns the keeper and slots it home.

The ref then decides to give them a penalty. Macc easily won a 50/50 ball outside the area ref deems it a foul inside the area somehow but Hall saves comfortably to his left.
