I wouldn't be surprised, and I wouldn't particularly blame anyone for walking out of this basket case of a club right now.

It'd be like jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire coming to Pools, I know the Loid has pulled this out of thin air but it won't happen, Pools aren't going to appoint an ex Loid manager with no experience of National League football.

We did that with Craig Harrison...

But I’d be absolutely livid if we were looking at the likes of Martin Gray

It was more so the Darlo connection than inexperience, wouldn't be too shocked to see us go for Armstrong at Blyth depending on where we both end up.

Raj Singh needs as much fan support as he can muster, appointing Gray with his shit eating grin wouldn't have anyone on side.

That was another cracking result for us last night, I am going with currently 48 being safe at present......to reduce as we continue. It would need Tamworth to win 2 out of 4 and Telford/ Gainsborough to get 8-10 points which is doubtful.

Gainsborough still to play Tamworth last game which will be interesting.

All on Curzon vs Alfreton and Telford vs Spennymoor tomorrow

48 points would agree with the current FWP Predicted Final Table. Far from accurate normally I hasten to add

I thought I recognized the name and face of the Basford United manager Martin Carruthers. He use to play for Darlo many years ago. I didn't know he had his feet under the table at the next bankrolled club.
Didn't he shag George Reynolds's missus when he was up here?

Fantastic strike from a centre back, he's a decent player Horsfall.

He's been a great signing. Delighted Huddersfield allowed him to sign for free. Before O'Connor's injury, they'd both developed a great partnership.

I’ll never forget the halcyon day when ol’ Safecracker paraded her at half time in front of a relatively packed and rapturous away end at Brisbane Road; she was dressed to the nines in stiletto heels, a leopard print miniskirt and a faux fur coat waving a Darlington scarf above her head. Oh, how you cheered and applauded. You’d arrived on a 6-game winning streak looking nailed-on for promotion and I still remember how crazy you went when Fat Marco Gabbiadini put you one up immediately after the break.

Of course, after that we ended up scoring a 90th minute winner with an offside Steve Watts goal and you went on a run of one win in eleven matches to miss out on automatic promotion by three points, lost in the playoff final, moved to that 25,000-seater stadium and went bust. Funny old game.

I remember when she accused the players of throwing a game away, she got booed by hundreds of irate fans, and then she vowed never to set foot in the club again. I couldn't stand the fucking bitch.

The clown Georgie boy lost everything and now runs a shitty e-cigarette shop in Chester-Le-Street. What a loser.

We never went bust. Cheers.

Well, you went into administration, got saved from liquidation at the last minute, failed to agree a CVA with your creditors, got expelled from the FA and were wound up in court. But whichever way you want to spin it is fine.

The only person that is at fault for the CVA is Raj Singh, the same guy who's taking over Hartlepool United at the moment. He refused to hand over the football share to the football club.

When we got demoted 4 leagues, had a name change forced upon us, being booted out of the ground, having 1 player to our name, thousands of pounds worth of debt.

Us fans paid off all historical debts to players/companies etc whilst funding 3 promotions, a new ground back in Darlington and being on a level footing now.
Now, not to mention the £41,000 we've raised in 2 weeks for BoostTheBudget fund.

So nah, we didn't go bust however you wish to spin it pal.

I remember seeing him play for Salford City against us. I was quite impressed with Horsfall. Couldn't understand why Salford didn't put a bid in for him like? I'd be delighted cracking signing for free.

Not sure how “you were wound up in court” can be interpreted as anything other than “going bust”, but never mind. All semantics. Hope to not see you* in the National League soon.

*because we’ve been promoted, not because I don’t want you to return.

Why not?
Lets face it you hangers need a bit of help appointing a manager, he has plenty of experience in the National League North. And you can't do much worse than the shite you've had over a 3-5 year period.

Otherwise you wouldn't be in this mess, certainly worth a crack of the whip at the job?

Well I wouldn't go as far to say I'd be somewhat livid at looking at the likes of Martin Gray. I know he's a ferret-faced twat.

But Raj Singh thinks the world of Martin Gray, and he'll do his utmost to sneak him in through the back door behind fans backs. Gray was fuming when we wouldn't let Singh back in the club.

But at the end of the day like Chief Rocka says It's being pulled out of thin air and it won't happen. To my knowledge he's probably right. Gray will no doubt be happy staying at York with no money.

You two Darloids crack me up. AndyPark is definitely the evil alter ego of Darlo On Tour. He says the things Darlo on Tour thinks but doesn’t write and they both seem to post at the same time. As well as sharing a headspace, do you share the same IP number?

Start of a massive week for us, which could dictate our season.

3 home games in 7 days, 2 of them are 6 pointers......by next week we may be all but safe or in dire trouble.

Big night in general, game today as big for Alfreton.....maybe even bigger as they have less games than us, but also a big night for Telford and Spennymoor.

My hope tonight is most of our points have come at home to bottom half teams, so we usually do well in these games, but of course now the pressure factor comes in.

I only post on here when I am at work as it kills time up until 2am. So defo's not the same IP address.

Enjoy having Party Marty when he turns up.

Very nervous ahead of kick off tonight. Critical game for us this. Not sure what is gonna happen but despite our poor form, 1 win in 8, we are unbeaten in our last 3 away so I have hope.

Hard to believe that on the 5th of April Telford and Spennymoor have their first meeting of the season! :eye:

Heck unless we get lots of last minute fans, could be in for a very low gate here, less than 25 mins to kick off off I count 44 fans. Guess all at food or drink bars

Expect a low turnout but wow that is awful. However we have been terrible for a long time and this is certainly one for the diehards
