Chorley could you stop catching up with the playoff teams. I don't want you finishing 7th and us having to play you again in the playoffs.
Ha ha, that thought had occurred to me, was discussing with my Grandson, we were both amused, let's not rule it out, think we will be visiting your place again this season.

Another win hopefully for a playoff push, Newby getting a goal again and some players coming into form at the right time. Even Marcus Carver!

Tell the truth i miss him, we are clueless without Mark Beck up front as a target man.

Can't agree with with that!

Clueless without Beck? We were clueless WITH Beck this season and have been MUCH better after we conned Harrogate into paying money for Beck and replaced him with Styche who is a superior player.

Granted we were clueless yesterday - but the football played in the previous 10 or so matches has been far superior and more threatening in front of goal than the "Hit Becky!" one dimensional football in the first half of the season, and the "hit no one" one dimensional football in the first half of the season whenever one goal Beck was injured.

Seems Bradford PA are considering some sort of groundshare arrangement at the Odsal Stadium, home of Bradford Bulls. This can only be good news in my opinion, anything to get away from their current soulless shithole
Could start as early as next season and be on a newly laid 3G Pitch

Have you ever been to Odsal?
It's cold in June/July time for Rugby. God knows what it'd be like in the Winter months. Plus I've been to games where there's been 20k there. It'd be soulless with BPA's crowds.

As you could probably tell by my post then no. Sounds as bad as their current ground if not worse.

York are going to miss out on play offs, worst time of year for all injuries.
Saturday played a full back/ winger up front and brought on a 16 year old striker.
Got Parkin,Almond & Kempster injured all strikers and best attacking midfielder Pattison out.In 2 weeks all will be back but will bee to late.
If do get in play offs though should have a fully fit squad.

It's a bowl with a Speedway track around it. Your on top of the action but miles away from the pitch.
Bradford City played there in the 80's after the Valley Parade fire.

Fair point we all have different opinions over each individual player that pulls on a Darlo shirt!

I think you've misinterpreted the facts about Mark Beck? Did I mention this season? Totally agree about Beck this season when MG shouldn't have been playing him, he clearly didn't look fit for my liking? He definitely wasn't the same striker as the season before when he scored some wonderful goals, 19 in total i think? (where you ever present to witness any of these goals home and away?) And not forgetting the transfer speculation swishing around in his head this season. I certainly wouldn't be interested in playing with a full time contract in the pipeline with York or Harrogate?

Far superior in the last 10 games clearly i must be missing something? Boston we weren't interested, AFC Telford we were shocking, North Ferriby our reserves could have beaten them, Tamworth i thought we were very fortunate to come away with a draw, Curzon and Kidderminster i would't go as far as saying we were superior? Brackley fair enough we had a couple of players missing, but we were outplayed by a country mile. BPA again could have went either way.

We have created chances, but i wouldn't say threatening, Styche for me is a good striker, he has that touch of class. But also he has downsides, tries to do too much when it would be easier looking for other options, can be lazy at times.

In fact a lot of our games we should be thankful of the commanding performances from our young goalkeeper Aynsley Pears. Without him a lot of those results wouldn't have gone in our favour.

Well a pretty standard win away at Ferriby on Saturday. Only negative was another goal conceded! We've scored plenty this year but conceded too many!

Jason Oswell and Matty Warburton are in fine form in front of goal at the moment, I think that's 40 in the league and over 50 goals in all comps between them this season. Very impressive!

8 wins in the last 10 games and 6 on the bounce has got us riding the crest of a wave in terms of confidence.

Just 5 games left to go, Kiddie away (bogey ground!), AFC Telfwolves Home, Chorley away, Blyth away, Darlo Home.

A result away at Kiddie would be HUGE but I'd happily take a point.

Our games against you tend to be quite entertaining. We'll still be missing Lee Vaughan but hopefully Dan Bradley will be back for the game as he's been a big player for us recently.

Spennymoor`s home games against Boston and Brackley moved to Harrogate Towns 3G Pitch.

This is what you get when you spend money on players and ignore your pitch.

What do our resident Kiddy fans think the likelihood of tomorrow's game being on? I've just checked the forecast and it says it's going to be raining solidly until tomorrow afternoon.

Also, does the supporters bar let away fans in? We normally go to pubs slightly further afield but won't have that luxury tomorrow.

it is bloody ridiculous that the season HAS to be finished the end of this month.

its even worse a league down, Stalybridge for example had their away game at Mickleover posponed tonigh tfor what seems to be the 6th or 7th time and still have 10...possibly 12 games to fit in before 28 april......nearly a game every other day.

Don't think there will be any doubts about the game. Our pitch copes with rain quite well.

As for the supporters bar I'm not actually sure. Might be worth emailing/tweeting the club.

So, for us to scrape into the play-offs in 7th, and assuming we can forget about getting anything away at Brackley on the last day, we most probably need to win all of our four other games, and certainly three of them. Away at Nuneaton, Gainsborough and FCUM and at home to Leamington. Based on the league table you might fancy us to give it a good go, but out of those four the only one we've beaten so far is Nuneaton, and we were a bit fortunate there as it finished 4-3 after we went to pieces having been 4-1 up. And the only time we've put together a decent run of wins was on the back of playing North Ferriby in the Christmas double-header.

Advice which to choose tonight?
Brackley in the County Cup Final vs Kettering. Game 20 miles away, £8 entrance price, both sides playing fringe players.
Chelsea - Liverpool in the Champions League. Free, watch from sofa. But would feel disloyal?

Can't wait for this season to finish. At least the Knights can put some pride back into the City of York.

My local team Selby Town have had there season extended by a week to the 28th.
There down to play Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday and tonight's game has been called off to make matters worse.

I saw most of Becks goals last season, and the ones I didn't, I've seen on highlight.

Not sure what your point is here, are you one of these "you have to go to every match to have an opinion" types? End of the day last season was last season and obviously I was talking about this season. Were you not talking about this season where I quoted you?

And not forgetting the transfer speculation swishing around in his head this season. I certainly wouldn't be interested in playing with a full time contract in the pipeline with York or Harrogate?

No one said he wasn't interested in playing, just that he wasn't very good.

Well for a start, I was talking about the 10 matches before Boston so why are you including them in your statement?

We may not have been brilliant in all of those matches - Telford and Tamworth I wasn't there but they were tough matches where we came away with clean sheets. Job done. Better than losing week in week out right?

Kidderminster maybe we weren't superior overall but they are one of the best teams in the league, we played good football and won?

North Ferriby - we smashed them, and at the end of the day you can only beat what is put in front of you. Again we played well, despite the weather.

You missed out Blyth as if to enforce your negative "glass is half full" viewpoint - we were excellent there and certainly a cut above anything served up in the first half of the season.[/quote]

In fact a lot of our games we should be thankful of the commanding performances from our young goalkeeper Aynsley Pears. Without him a lot of those results wouldn't have gone in our favour.

Not gonna disagree with that - he is superb. But it's a team game and don't think our turn around in form was just down to him. Heaton, Trotman, Galbraith have all been excellent as has Thompson.

Massive win for us tonight. How Stockport weren't winning after the first 10 minutes I'll never know. Pearson somehow clears off the line after Hall's save but a Stockport player was stood in front of Pearson and had a simple header.

Dan Bradley has hit form at the perfect time. 7 goals in 6 now his goal for the third being a brilliant solo effort.

Stockport looked good going forward but weren't clinical enough. Had the chances to put us away but didn't take them. At the back they look like they can be picked apart with some clever play.

Also York what are you doing? Stop giving Chorley a chance.

Harrier where gonna finish 8th or 9th.
We have no fit stickers. Ok we have James Gray plus a 17 yr old as Parkin is injuried till Brackley & hopefully the other 2 will be back on Saturday.
Don't be surprised however if Gainsborough turn us over as I won't be.

Strange decision that like, with other alternatives?

Totally agree regarding the pitch. I would imagine Brad Groves will have to put his hand into his deep pockets and get it sorted out in the summer.
