So we have title race over now and really i'd say play-off places sorted now.....even if BPA/York could catch a lack of games is going to cost them.

all that really is left is Relegation battle (well and lay-off order) but god-knows who is going down as it changes each match due to a ridiculous amount of shock results recently....even Southport dragged back into it now.

the weird thing is the sides with the toughest on paper fixtures now seem to have teams who may rest half or all side due to now having little to play for or to rest for play-offs or too many games.......teams with easier fixtures sort've have the games where both are having to battle like hell for points.........am unsure which type of game i'd rather.

To be fair we have 46 points now so if we do go down i cannot blame team too much, 46 is a decent total in a 42 game season and really it normally is enough...just one of them weird seasons most of the league isn't too far quality off each other.
Do you not support Carlisle now or something?

I do but i live in Tameside and have for 2 years now so cannot afford or have time to get to Carlisle.....so just watch someone local.

may get to some more Carlisle games next season if the local sides like Bury, Oldham, Rochdale could all come down.......just is next to no local games to get to this year and last.

Totally agree, both sides on top in different segments of the game, both keepers made top class saves, think County settled for the point after they scored and we could easily have snatched it after that. Back three were brilliant as they have been all season. Hopefully one or two players will get a rest on Thursday for the Leamington game. Well done Chorley.
Hope if you do rest any players it doesnt have too much of an effect. You guys can play a key role in deciding the relegation picture. Save resting players until the final day yeah?

Wouldn't mind putting Tamworth down on Saturday, not the best of places to go, however, we do normally beat them.

I’d thought apart from Harrogate and brackley most will keep 1st squads for now as guessing is advantage 4th and 5th to 6-7

Good game last night. First half we were not at the races at all and Chorley deservedly took the lead. Second half we came out looking a lot stronger, created a number of decent chances within the first 20-25 minutes before scoring. After that we sat back and Chorley put us under a lot of pressure. We were perhaps lucky to get away with a point, with Hinchliffe making a couple of outstanding saves, but I think a draw was a fair result. Chorley looked like Chorley always seem to every time we play them - big, strong, very dangerous from set pieces and just a a decent finisher away from being a really decent side. Happy with the point but again we're going to have to up our game if we want to do anything in the playoffs.

Typical non-league nonsense at the beginning of the game as Chorley decided to open only one turnstile for us, meaning loads were still queuing to get in 15 mins into the game until they decided to just open the gates.

Edit: Oh, and when we did get to the turnstile, they didn't have any change.

Well, that confirms us as being down here for yet another season (if it wasn't confirmed already). A pretty awful season and a step backwards compared to last, where at least we managed to stay in the mix for the play-offs until the very end (and with two fewer play-offs places). If it wasn't for the fact that we're entering some transitional FT/PT hybrid model next season which Gannon has very much been leading, I don't think he would be here come the end of the season. And I can't say I would have been overly upset. The only reason I'm on balance against replacing him is that I can't for the life of me think who that replacement would be (or, perhaps, dread to think who that replacement would be).

Onwards to the Cheshire Senior Cup.

Nailed it.

Ha ha, understand you saying that, doubt we would put out a weakened side at home against you, don't think our resting players will weaken side too much, couple of players came off with knocks last night but Whitham has been a first team regular for years, Anson is young and will feature strongly. In the future, Brewster on loan from Chesterfield, Wilson one of our leading scorers. We will be going for the points, no doubt about that.

Trinity have given themselves a bit of a chance now with Telford and Tamworth coming up next, although saying that, I've just noticed the two above have a game in hand and far superior GD's.

It's not mathematically done yet, but you'd imagine that's our season over. Will no doubt be confirmed on Saturday, which will also mark the end of my time as a season ticket holder until there are some radical changes.

We could really have put a bit of pressure on Brackley if we'd held on last night. Would've left us 3 points behind.

Elton Ngwatala scored an absolute screamer. And we gave away a cheap penalty. No complaints from where I was stood though. Looked like Croasdale pulled him back.

Somehow they announced the attendance as 415. I'd say there was less than 200. About 50 of which were Harriers fans.

I especially liked the Onwards to the Cheshire Senior Cup bit (since we got kicked out for not having international clearance for someone who only ever played football in this country)

Not a good time in the season to start playing crap.

Bradford PA were extremely limited, us a bit better, but not much. Still another 4 games to cram in before the 28th (3 league and 1 county cup final) - I wish we could nick a point on Saturday to all but guarantee 3rd, then give the players a couple of weeks off before the playoff semis... but we simply don't have anywhere near enough players to allow them to rest.

Am worried (with apologies to those in the relegation scrap who really have something to worry about).

Glad Salford going up - no-one much likes them, but makes the division more open next year, and with Woking's terrible form, we've a 50/50 chance of staying in the North it looks like dependent on the second place team who comes up from the Southern League. Hate being on this North / South boundary line.

Well hello again
Hi.
Now you are offically down. Can you take Elliott Green back.
Guenunely the worst player I have ever seen in an Alfreton shirt. Barely a competent footballer. He has the movment of an OAP. He legs look shot too.

We are not quite sure of safety yet, hoping we seal the deal on Saturday v FCUM, but looking forward to a first visit to Nethermoor and meeting your dog!

Just seen our highlights from Monday......... what a dreadful goal to give away at the death.....just a basic hoof from midfield to an amazingly totally unmarked runner going through a large gap.........that is unforgivable giving the importance.

Just do the basics when winning deep in injury time in a must win game....9-0-1, no gaps and just whack the bloody ball anywhere away from box hoping by chance it lands to the one poor player you left forward.

Switch off at back too many times this season

I think Sean has recalled him to cast his eye over him ready for the summer cull - if he gets the job of course. It doesn't sound like Elliott's recovery from such a long spell out is going very well.

Afraid it isnt. Looks like his career could be over. What leads to believe he has recalled him? He was on the bench on Saturday at Brackley.

What's going on with York?

Biggest club to drop down to that level, play-offs expanded to 7th place with team seemingly in pole position not so long ago, now can't even finish there barring a miracle.

I would've thought the board would be busting a gut to at least give the team a chance of returning at the first attempt after all the mistakes they've made in recent years, or is the reality that that was not possible (or at best very difficult)?

The budget is well over £1.5 million apparently...

I personally from the outside think two massive errors York have made over this last few months to make it collapse, first was their owner stupidly throwing toys out of the pram during a vital time of the season disrupting everything......he may have wanted to sell up the moment he didn't get the shares and that is fine, but do it at the end of the season or when you have nothing left to play for, not frankly throw the whole club into commotion at a crucial time.....has backfired on him because he's made the club even more worthless to sell.

Secondly is their manager who i don't think is a bad manager but has spent the entire season moaning, whinging and complaining about how he cannot cope without a big budget here........yeah just put self doubt to yourself, your players, your fanbase etc, etc that at both Darlo and now York that you can achieve absolutely nothing at either club unless the fans give you exactly what you want.......Should have been there saying 'I can still achieve what i want with this team' especially at York where frankly he has a high budget anyway.

Is English Shaun St Ledger's native language? Or is he recovering from a stroke? He seems to struggle to construct a sentence.
Not sure how you can afford to remain full time on those crowds
He's from Solihull way I believe plus we had just been relegated 10 minutes earlier!
I think we'll be part time on a much reduced budget next season after the truck loads of cash our owner wasted on Cox, his entourage and his massive useless squad this season.

I've seen that and I've seen 900k so somewhere in the middle on that waste of space of a team.
Accy are going to be 3 leagues above us next season with half the crowds and a smaller budget than we've had this season too.

Jason McGill happened to us.

He's a selfish tyrant who has crippled the goodwill of the fan base, presided over a period which has seen people driven from the club who genuinely love it simply for the crime of "wrong think" and he's allowed a bunch of chancers to leech off the club and become emotionally invested in manager after manager who he has always sacked way, way too late and often not utilised a proper recruitment process. Manager's have often come in when it's just too late to really do much and his "open wallet" policy means we've been stuck with a lot of crap we then can't shift so even if a new guy comes in he is limited in what he can really do.

We're a joke and in terminal decline, one which won't be averted until there is some change at board room level. Actual change too, not puppets as Jason pretend to have "resigned."

Feel sorry for York but we're all there in solidarity, the Brotherhood hotline is always open, 24 hours a day. Just press 1 for the North Wales based call centre to speak to El Presidente, don't press 2 for the West Yorkshire one. B2TF constantly mans it, with baited breath, sniffing his knickers.

Actually quite proud of Accrington Stanley on what they've achieved this season. I say good for them and their management and players for picking up a bit of silverware, after many years in the doldrums.
