Another poor showing in the cup from us. Another loss to our bogey team. No complaints from me as Maidstone had the desire to win the ball all over the park.

One cringeworthy thing about today though... that song that the Maidstone boys and girls sing... 'When I was young, I followed you... etc'....fuck me, most of you were barely into puberty and I don't remember seeing that many at Sittingbourne/Ashford in days gone by.

Fair dos though... the atmosphere (apart from the aforementioned song) was exceptional.

Felt sorry for Chorley.

Plucky side, absolutely hopeless at everything - playing mansfield who were well, absolutely hopeless at everything in turn.

What a complete shitshow of a performance by us, glad we’re not in the bananarama league any longer as we’d get shafted each week.

Lovely fans in the club bar, wish Chorley and their fans all the best going forward

Like when 1,500 Torquay fans turned up to Kingfield last season. I don’t remember seeing more than 250 away fans in days gone by.

That fine victory should keep Dempster in place for a couple more months .

Marvellous.

Aww getting all excited about qualifying for the cup round 1 for the first time ever and scoring a goal at the giants of Walsall.

Nah seriously enjoy. It might not happen again for another 20 years.

I hope not i'll have me wooden coat on pushing up daisies by then

Oh dear. I was talking about Maidstone's HOME support, not Torquay's AWAY support. There is a big difference. Maidstone were lucky to get c.300 when playing only 10-15 miles from their home town... hence my disdain for that cringeworthy ditty.

Hmmm, you seem to be living in some sort of alternative reality - we've played in the 1st round dozens of times, and played at Walsall quite a few times.

Seeing that you did, why did you bring such a large away following to the Bescot Stadium yesterday?

Fleetwood are just too physically strong for us and that little bit sharper on the ball too.

To be fair to Maidstone they did spend 20+ years playing in other towns. And since they moved home in 2012 their crowds have been big. If you were say 12 when they moved back to Maidstone you’d be 19 now, so any adolescent singing that chant would have been young when they first started following the stones since they’ve been back in Maidstone. I literally don’t see what your issue is.....

Because we are a 136 year old club with a rich league heritage and an enviable proportion of home to away followers.

This is the complete opposite of traditional non league clubs such as...oooh, I dunno, Barnet... who take comparatively fuck all away.

I remember on more than one occasion you bringing more players than fans to Darlo.

Now, is there anything else that I can help you with?

So you would have taken a similar amount of support to Walsall if you were currently in League 2 then?

0-0 at home with Rochdale. A good result but it basically means we are out now anyway.

I have issues with Maidstone. Full stop. But that's my prerogative. To me, they are the Man United of non league. My opinion. If you disagree, who gives a fuck.

That's a terrible result. Rochdale are one of the those league clubs non league outfits view as a stepping stone to a big draw in the next round. We were another one. No Brother club should be calling that a good result.:ds:

The Man United of Non League ? I have no idea of that is a good or bad thing?

Imagine having issues with Maidstone?! What a life
