Can any Shews and Posh fans let me know how Waterfall and Woodyard are doing?

Woodyard very solid..very unspectacular...good leader...has been overshadowed by certain other signings like Dembele / Godden...protects the back four well...I think we will see his value more when we are under pressure.

Skipping the turgid first half though our game on Saturday was quite entertaining, had a bit of everything: 2 goalkeepers playing well, loads of injuries, Lee Cattermole scoring, some howlers, a goal line clearance, Newcastle fans in the home end, a good atmosphere at times from both sets of fans, a middle-aged man wearing Stone Island shouting at a statue.

Could have done without the knob ends fighting after the game, blocking the way to the Tesco taxi rank. But hey ho, Peterborough at home tomorrow which I suspect we may lose and put a bit of a dent into what remaining belief we have of automatic promotion.

You will not lose...anything over 10,000 and we generally lose.

Away to Oxford for us tonight. We have had some good battles against them over the years! Unfortunately dont think Hylton will be fit for it as that would have been great entertainment value at the very least I think!

Oxford not had a good start but not sure our game has transitioned well to the higher level when playing away from home, they also seem to have some decent looking players, Holmes in particular i recall as being a cracking little player so still expecting a tough game. Got a feeling a classic Luton 1-1 might be on the cards.

Cant make the game so will be giving the "ifollow" thing a go tonight, so hope it works.

Shouldn't be much of a problem against us!

Would have been interesting to see Hylton at Oxford again. No doubt he'd have had a decent reception but wonder if he would have given us his usual antics.

3-0 Ox.

Good game for a 0-0 vs Rochdale. Both teams with chances. Think we have edged it with the quality of the chances that we haven’t some how converted.

Rochdale down to 10 men - looks a harsh red but I can see why he gave it

We have been the better side but as has been the case a lot this season not taken the chances that have come. Unfortunately they have fallen to players that aren’t the best infront of goal (Pelly, Cornick, Rea etc). Pelly been the best player on the pitch by quite some distance, and could have scored a couple. Great turnaround in his career this season.

Oxford havent been very good at all but got a feeling we might regret not making them pay for that poor half

F*ck me i don't want to watch another half like that we could have been 3-0 down. Akinfenwa and Mickail-Smith have done nothing to worry Fleetwood's keeper at all. :ffs:

And there’s the goal against the run of play. Even had a decent chance just before it from a corner.

Great goal by Holmes, the only player with a bit of quality in the final third of the pitch in the game by the looks of it.

Back level terms now, Cornick horrendous miss from about 3 yards that fortunately fell back to Collins who put it in. Cornick a very lucky boy.

Did not deserve to lose that, in fact I would say we were marginally the better side.

Entertaining game but my god our defence is an absolute shambles.

Not overly concerned, we are so dangerous going forward and play such good stuff. Learn to stop defending like morons and we’ll win the majority of games we play.

Bloody brilliant that. Not the game, obviously. A lot of the same problems we have had all season, ie we can't convert out chances, but you can't beat a last minute winner.

Great feeling, especially after conceding late on Saturday. Goal Potts, assist Sheehan. Lost count of how many times we had that last year. We've certainly missed Sheehans left boot.

Glad we've got the away win and with it the monkey off of our back. McCormack, Berry and Hylton back in the next weeks so hopefully we can kick on from here.

Eventually got there but should have been far more comfortable. Oxford did not look a very good side at all but we were so incredibly wasteful going forward that I thought we wouldn’t get the result that the play deserved.

Not sure what the Potts first goal was disallowed for and would like to see it again! Great that it didn’t matter with the same player getting the winner, the set play onto Potts head finally working out after some pretty dreadful set pieces prior.

Overall the game lacked quality in the attacking 3rd, Oxford really only had Holmes in that sense and we had some pretty poor finishing when in good positions. Pelly despite his terrible shooting the best player out there alongside Holmes for Oxford.

Shinnie wasn’t very good at all and I don’t really know what Grant did to get dropped to be honest, was surprised when we needed a goal he wasn’t brought on.

We just lost 1 nil to the worst Bradford side I've seen since we returned to the league. Which says all you need to know about our toothless performance.

Didn't think we had that in us. Oxford better than their position but again we looked the better side but no composure in front if goal. I think one if their fans said a decent midfield and they do have. Disallowed goal looked good and a flailing arm that didn't make contact? fooled the ref. Then bam we still pull it out from a questionable free kick. Maybe this is the turning point

To be fair I thought it was perhaps 2 minutes too long, I could see 6 maybe. As to be expected Oxford went very defensive and time waste heavy after the red. Didn't help themselves as they made it a little too obvious and werent very cute with it and picked up 2 bookings for it, which I think put the refs back up leading to perhaps a couple of mins extra.

I thought that Holmes aside they were really pretty poor to be honest.

We are lucky that Freddie Ladapo couldn’t finish his dinner today otherwise we’d have lost that game.

Play like that at Peterborough and they’ll murder us.

Fairly even game, a game with next to no quality other than Jack Payne when he came on why he didn't start I'll never know. I don't know whether our defence has improved or Wimbledon were just garbage but we limited them to nothing other than a chance when the keeper fell over and a couple of free headers second half one which was excellently cleared of the line. Still got 11 out injured which doesn't help, but we lack quality no doubt. Think we'll eventually improve enough to get to that magical mid table, but the recovery won't be starting against Sunderland I'm afraid. We do look fitter and more organised under Hopkin however, just need some confidence and more options.

Comparitively we've seen much worse I thought. I thought Branagh was ok. Again tho we made a meal of a game we should have won fairly straightforwardly. At least we did actually win this time.

We made a defensive error to gift Bradford a pen for their goal. We then contrived to miss 3 or 4 sitters and lose one nil. This is gonna be a long season.

We were probably garbage but I have no idea as I wasn't there. Checked my phone (with permission) at the retail coalface at full time. Muttered something about 'bloody stupid club' at which point a customer ask if I was a Man U supporter. When I told him that I was an AFC Wimbledon supporter, he said 'nice one'. Not much of a consolation but I'd still rather support Wimbledon rather then Man U because I live in SW London and have supported a team called Wimbledon for 30+ years.

Game of two halves at Burton. Wouldn't have complained had we gone in at the break 4-0 down, bar Cox hitting the post early on we were dreadful and had Oxley to thank for keeping the score down.
Completely different side second half, massive credit to Powell for bringing on Kightly for Robinson and tweaking the system, tactics spot on and obviously said the right things at half time because Southend were transformed.
Thought the Burton keeper should have done much better for Hopper's goal and they looked a bit of a shambles when crosses started coming into their box.

We've suddenly hit a bit of form, Oxford at home Saturday, be very Southend to screw it up, especially against a side we seem to have a hex on at Roots Hall.

Would have been gutted if we hadn't won tonight. Completely dominated against a side that looked relegation material. We all know our problem and I'm sure the management team are working hard to resolve it. Just getting shots on target seems to be the major issue. Lost count how many times we hurried our shots with Cornick and Pelly being the main culprits. Pelly though had a fantastic game otherwise. Poor offficials tonight who made some baffling decisions one of which almost cost us three points.
Was confident pre match that we could get a result thanks to Oxfords lack of form and it showed. Their passing at times was very poor and they lacked ideas going forward. In fact they set up as the away team trying to absorb pressure and counter. Their only spell of any note was the beginning of the second half when they found some energy and scored a decent goal.
The away win is a big relief and has been a long time coming. Time to build on this and start to move up the table.
Pleased to see Sheehan come on. We've missed his set peices.

Pompey, like Sunderland Saturday, were decent but nothing special. Certainly didn't blow us away like I expected.

So far, no team has looked amazing, but the consistency of the likes of Portsmouth will set them apart from everyone else.

Fans were phenomenal tonight. Far more noisy that Sunderland.

Why oh why do we always play so poorly against 10 men? As long as I remember it's been the same.

After Rochdale being down to 10 in the second half, they came out the stronger and were much the better team. In fact, you wouldn't even know they were a man down. 2nd half we were slow, lethargic & boring.
