Not so sure on Matlock, watched them once this season and wasn't overly convinced but they've had a couple of good wins at home.

Buxton could well be up there, but they should with the money being chucked about.

A huge win today for Matlock at South Shields with a great cross from new signing Joe Bunney for Alex Byrne to head home the winner.

Totally agree with Buxton they look strong on paper with a fistful of new signings.

How come South Shields only got 300? Am I missing something, like a local restriction!?

Yeah was 600 now restricted to 300. I think South Shields comes under South Tyneside lockdown?
Ah cheers, I can't keep up to be honest now. FC United who are tier 3 national lockdown bound can have 600 but South Shields only 300, mad.

That's okay pal, Aye it's all getting a bit complicated with these tier lockdowns. I think a few weeks ago South Shields, Scarborough Athletic and FC United Of Manchester joined forces to write a strongly worded letter to the government over a lack of financial support. I'm not sure that there has been any confirmation of any support for affected clubs below the National League?

Northern Premier League Premier Division side South Shields have announced an incredible £378,925 worth of shares.

The shares have been purchased by 1,037 supporters and investors, including Little Mix star Jade Thirlwell.

The club added: "The initial target of £250,000 of investment was quickly smashed as supporters and investors took their opportunity to buy equity in the club and become an even bigger part of our future.

"Every pound raised will remain within the club and be reinvested. The funds will all be put to good use and will bolster our ambitions to continue climbing the football pyramid as a club at the heart of its community.

"A number of perks were available as part of the campaign depending on the size of investment."
