GRIMSBY who finished bottom of the league to finish top of NL?
Not very likely suspect they will be mid table

Tough crowd this non league forum SoC. No wonder the league is in such a shit state and badly run, everyone is far too serious.

Yep, back up as playoff champions thus leaving us to finally be the irrefutable biggest side in the division.

While I fully respect the informed opinion of a Wrexham fan on finishing midtable in The Conference, perhaps it's possible you haven't checked your Grimsby memos. New owners, big budget, top manager for this level, will be one of the best supported sides, etc.
Only 3 relegated next year.
Oh nice, you saved Alty. Felt bad about that.

Very surprised that important threads like this are being left to the new boys.

I don’t expect us to be top but I’ll be staggered if Hurst doesn’t have us in the play offs at least, he knows this league inside out and with bigger financial backing than in his previous spell here it will be a woeful season if it is to be mid table.
Plus most of this team will be gone and a lot of new players coming in although with this current team for the whole of last season we would’ve been comfortably mid table anyway, but unfortunately Holloway left us in such a mess that by the time Hurst sorted it out and got us playing much better it was too late.

I'd be surprised if Stockport don't win this season's play offs.

First time Maidenhead have not been nominated for the drop by anyone so far.
However, not sure how anyone can make predictions about their own team let alone teams you know sod all about

who gives a toss about the rest (as long as dover get relegated)
The biggest redemption arc ever!
Actually, I agree with the predictions for us by the other posters on this thread. We’ll have a competent enough team but rebuilding to challenge at the top end will take a while.

Grimsby have a WARCHEST for next season.

Which in fact is gonna look like a piggy bank when Wrexham start swinging their Hollywood dick.

And Southend, apparently.

And us, but we’ll spend it all on analysts and people you’ve never heard of.

Be the same as always. Wrexham, Grimsby etc spending big to get out probably means they’ll have a similar budget to us and Stockport this season, and we’re both below Sutton United.

Our shirt sponsorship deal is in the millions apparently. I can see our budget being quite ridiculous.

I think the owners are looking to build the infrastructure of the club as well, but a lot of that (youth funding especially) becomes far easier when you're in the EFL. They'll want to get there as quickly as possible.

Sutton seam similar to us last year then - probably a mid budget team who play decent football, work hard and only have 2-3 stand out players

That would put it on a par with half of the Premier League. Seems... unlikely. Either way, you’re going to have to bring in a manager and presumably most of a team in one summer which isn’t easy in itself.

I have no doubt you’ll be up there, mind. Probably in a title race with Stockport, Notts and somehow a team like Woking.
