For everyone that has missed the joke, SoC does this every season, usually even earlier than the previous one, because it’s a bit of fun. The final results are usually way off. Clearly the Conference are way behind on games played but that’s not our fault :(

Be the same as always. Wrexham, Grimsby etc spending big to get out probably means they’ll have a similar budget to us and Stockport this season, and we’re both below Sutton United.

They have the scope, the clout to do whatever they want next season, budget wise they will be in a league of their own, not even remotely close to anyone else.

We’ll see. I predict their team will look like a good National League side rather than a Championship one.

Sure, which is what they want right? They could cherry pick players from any team in this division without question and they'll get them, maybe even the league above.

I think that’s basically what Stockport have done, though, and will continue to if they don’t go up. We’re harder to compare because our model is so different (and suspect that’s going to be much more pronounced this summer).

To be fair, you might be right with ‘budget’, I just reckon there’s a relatively low ceiling to what you can build with a big budget in this league.

That would put it on a par with half of the Premier League. Seems... unlikely. Either way, you’re going to have to bring in a manager and presumably most of a team in one summer which isn’t easy in itself.

I have no doubt you’ll be up there, mind. Probably in a title race with Stockport, Notts and somehow a team like Woking.
Whoever has their business on our shirts will have their business exposed to 17.5m twitter followers through Ryan Reynolds, 645k through Rob McElhenny and likely 2.3m followers through Chris Hadfield. Their brand will be on massive talkshows, a Netflix documentary and potentially one of Rob's shows. I don't think paying millions for that exposure is out of the ordinary.

Also, the lowest PL sponsorship deal is £3.5m for Sheffield United's. Ours is being touted at around £2m. All rumours at this stage though of course.

2m seems realistic, just not sure I’d describe it as millions. Although I suppose it technically is. :D

It’ll be really interesting to see what you do manager/signing wise. There’s a bit of a problem for the league as a whole, particularly those who end up in the play-offs, being so far behind League One/Two in planning for next season.

Sutton seam similar to us last year then - probably a mid budget team who play decent football, work hard and only have 2-3 stand out players

Bottom 6 budget. A mid-table budget is a dream for us.

A combination of hard work, and trust in a manager and his vision (when all signs seemed to point to disaster) has got us here. That and being gobby.

No point mate, can't convince these tin potters, particularly the Wrexham fans, they have been down here so long they don't know what fun is anymore.

The new owners have already committed 2 million up front very little of this has been spent on players as the takeover happened very late in the transfer window.
They have also indicated they wont be buying players who have come for their final big pay day ( and are past their best).
We have our new CEO. Beginning her job on May 31st I suspect lots of detail on sponsorship will be announced then and that will give us all an indication of what our budget might be.
Season tickets sales are expected to be 5000+ and if our new membership scheme is anything to go by(over 11000 already signed up) could be much higher.
As for a new manager? Who knows? But for all of DK faults we are challenging for a play off position having spent very little compared to other clubs

Whatever division Wrexham are in next season they'll be breezing through it like a hot knife through butter. The only thing that could slow them down is if the new owners start getting too involved and like a 'name' or twenty.

As for Southend, well, Phil Brown's back, so that would suggest we won't have a part time budget. It's either boom or bust I reckon.

People also still seem adamant that we’re spending this summer when it isn’t the case. The new owners have already said they’ve prepared to lose £2million to this season but a lot of that is going into infrastructure improvements and paying off Fenty as per their agreement. Most seasons down here we had around a top 5 budget and I imagine it’ll be similar this season. The owners have also said if we don’t manage to make the money required for Fenty this season (1mil) they’ll provide it out of their own pockets.

We’re Wrexham. It doesn’t matter who’s in charge or owns the club, we aren’t going up.

You are though, you've been down here long enough to know that if you throw a ton of money at it you'll be promoted from this division.
Your opposition may be Bromley, not sure how long they've been here now but I'm sure their owner said they'd be in the League within 5 years, that time frame is surely nearly over, they could well go crazy.

To be fair, it took Forest Green ages and Fylde went down with a massive budget. With the right manager we'll go up, it's just finding one.

A big budget isn't everything. We gave Dean Saunders a budget of 2 million and he spent it on people like Lamine Sakho amd Patrick Suffo and barely got anywhere near promotion for two seasons.

Having someone in charge who knows what they are doing is key (hence why FGR never went up under Hockaday despite their spends). I expect our budget to be good, but not necessarily dwarf teams like the Counties.

A lot of investment is going into building a new training ground, rebuilding the Kop, and financing the Youth team and Women's team to professional levels.

Corrected it for you....

Weve actually never finished twelfth in this league. Tenth twice, Eleventh twice and Thirteenth once, but never Twelfth.

Our last Twelfth placed finish was in 93/94 in Division Two.

Boring but true.

Please please please be Poundland or something.

Hockaday knew exactly what he was doing, in my opinion. Had his eye on that Leeds job/payoff right from the start.

Money does not necessarily equate to success.
They still have to attract so called superstars to the National League.
Not an easy ask IMO.
May take time to gel.

I haven't got a clue to be honest. You could probably swap anyone from about 6-15th. It was a struggle remembering who was in the league.
