Chesterfield are going to go well. They look the most made for this league of the favourites. That James Rowe is a smug twat, but I reckon he's got a good hold on this league and what it requires.

We'll be up there but we're going to have to go up a level from last season. Rusk will be gone by Christmas if we're a fair few points off 1st.

I am genuinely quite liking the look of Payne, especially when he’s partnered with Rowe as they seem to complement eachother pretty well. Like I said it’s very early days and some of you have seen Payne a lot more than I have so I’ll reserve judgement for now, but in fairness to him he has started positively.

Maybe the penny has dropped and he feels like it’s time to prove a point? Hopefully anyway.

Did a random number generator:

Dagenham

Grimsby
Aldershot

Solihull Moors
Boreham Wood
Yeovil
Wrexham

Notts County
Maidenhead
FC Halifax
Barnet
Torquay
Eastleigh
Weymouth
Altrincham
Chesterfield
Southend
Bromley
Woking
King's Lynn

Wealdstone
Stockport
Dover

I didn't even bias anything for Dover's point deduction by the way! Just used a series of RANDBETWEEN in excel. So I'm thinking I've just stumbled upon a window to the future. Sorry Stockport fans. Can only imagine Ben Whitfield and John Rooney get into some massive argument about Pokemon cards which results in Paddy Madden getting sliced open by a rare Charizard which puts him out for the rest of the season.

Solihull beat Grimsby in the play off final.

Random generator my arse.

Get this put up in the dressing room boys. All the motivation we need.

Yeah, reserving judgement is all you can do really. He might well benefit from the drop in level, but he was very poor for us.

Before he headbutted his own teammate and consigned us to relegation I did say that Payne may well shine in this league as he’s banged them in previously.

Now that he’s left us he’s 100% guaranteed to do just that.

How come people are predicting Kings Lynn to do well? Nothing outstanding about their squad Their 750k in the red according to someone on their forum?

A bit early without full squads but Stockport and Chessy first and second.
Grimsby, Daggers, Solihull, Wrexham, Torquay for playoffs.
Without some serious improvement to the squad Notts mid table and a change of manager by Christmas.
Dover and Weymouth bottom two.
Turmoil at Barnet and maybe Bromley to have a play-off hangover.
Our squad is just about complete now and I think we'll finish third behind Stockport and Chesterfield, we seem to hNave added some quality to last year, more options on the wings and a stronger midfield. The spine has looked pretty good in the last couple of games and we've a stronger bench. If Burchnall can get any sort of form from Mitchell then we've cover in all positions.
I'm sure Wrexham will add but as it stands i don't think they're as strong as Stockport.

1) Stockport
2) Chesterfield
3) Notts
4) Wrexham
5) Grimsby
6) Dagenham
7) Eastleigh
8) Bromley
9) Torquay
10) Boreham Wood

17) Halifax
18) Aldershot
19) Wealdstone
20) Kings Lynn
21) Weymouth
22) Woking
23) Dover

Absolute guess although I think the top ten will all be around there if not in that order.

Or yourselves, or Chesterfield.
I think you've a stronger forward line already and will improve your squad before the season starts. It's all a guess and if you finish above us and Chesterfield it wouldn't be a surprise.
Only reason I put you below is that us and Chesterfield have added to last year rather than total rebuilding with a new manager, think we'll be more settled earlier.

How the Dover are allowed to stay in this league is quiet frankly disgusting.

I'm a bit worried that no one has Maidenhead in the relegation spots.
Maybe this is our year for the drop.

I think we will have a tough time this year. None of the players we have lost seem to have been adequately replaced and it looks like we are already ravaged by injuries.

The top 5 (not necessarily in this order):

Chesterfield
Notts Co.
Stockport
Wrexham
Grimsby

6th - 18th (again, in no particular order):

Yeovil
Solihull
Boreham Wood
Southend
Maidenhead
Aldershot
Woking
Halifax
Barnet
Bromley
Torquay
D & R
Eastleigh

And the bottom 5 (not by coincidence, I suspect the 5 clubs with the smallest budgets)

Wealdstone
Weymouth (he wrote in hope, rather than expectation)
Dover
Altrincham
King's Lynn

Will post a prediction after today’s open-day team photo call ( a big surprise, everything usually secret ). Rumoured several “surprise” signings…..
