By far the best player on the pitch for Boston in our playoff game with them Femi Seriki was on loan from Sheff Utd and he's joined Rochdale on loan today. And they haven't managed to get Marcus Dewhurst back and I've not seen the GK they've replaced him with either.

Seems like a few squads have lost a lot of key players except maybe Fylde. I'm sure Fyldefan can say if they've lost a few but I haven't seen that their squad has been picked apart.

I think Brackley will be very interesting as it looks like their squad has been picked apart the most

I think we’ll win the league

Shields lost their final 2 matches as they went into them on same points and Buxton won their 2.

I bet Shields never anticipated at the start of last season they'd be neck and neck with Buxton for the title. I'm pleased Shields didn't win the league.

It'll be exactly the same scenario this season as well they won't expect another challenger harassing them for the title.

You've certainly got a team and resources capable of doing it. A lot will depend on your manager's conduct and how good he is at keeping everyone happy, which he doesn't have a good track record of and could be your undoing.

The 2 Warrington teams have plenty of dosh, but yes they are going to go up eventually (a bit like Wrexham wil eventually).

Pretty sure Buxton lost their last one at Stalybridge, just that they beat Matlock the previous game, while Shields lost both.
Yes just checked ~~ that's right.

Most definitely, providing your chairman is still contributing from his business.

Winning the league doesn't count as genuine when you're bankrolled by a wealthy businessman or consortium.

The real league winner will be whichever pure club finishes highest.

Town are usually there or thereabouts. I presume Rylands are the up and coming new kids on the block.

Yeah it'll most likely happen sooner rather than later most likely this season with the two of them.

I'm surprised that our odds are so short. Thought we might have been a bit more under the radar.

Though 10/1 on Darlo is like printing free money, especially E/W.

I thought exactly the same suspiciously short, but now out to 11/1 for us. I thought maybe about 16/1 to 20/1.

A good solid E/W bet like in my book. All the money is for AFC Fylde now down to 7/2.

Kettering is the weirdest one, they've been decimated more than anyone.

They can vary though, we're 12/1 4th favourites with Bet Victor, for example.

I think non league football is a bit of a minefield for bookmakers they are not really all that clued up with early season pricing. I think they'll mainly use last season's placings and closely monitor activity in the transfer market with one or two mid-table teams from last season.

Saying that their is some strange odds even at this early stage (Chester, Chorley, Southport, Kettering and Hereford) I think ours should be a lot higher than the current price.

Do you think 20s is too generous for a team that finished 16th?

Doesn't mean anything. You can go from the bottom to top in this league with just a few good signings. Last season I hardly saw anything between most sides bar a few right at the top.

Got to love the pre-season chaos at Spenny, losing, playing poor, getting players sent off in friendlies, fans moaning and Jonno deactivating his twitter (always does it when in a bad mood).

Bad pre season for us with some poor results against the lower league local sides.

Means nothing of course but do wonder how patient board will be with manager if we still cannot deliver something more stable that garbage results wise.

Not been able to get to games, but think focus has been on ball play than results so can see us going back to old Flanagan ways of being the best passing side in league but also infuriating in lacking goals.

Couldn't happen to nicer club - Spenny fans never miss an opportunity to show what lovely supporters they are. Jonno said it was like watching paint dry in terms of excitement if I am being honest against Coalville.

Totally, I've grabbed those odds at 20/1 for Chester for me is slightly higher than I anticipated. They are now 14/1 with Bet365.
We've got 7 players out injured already According to Deva Chat.

I think Glendon is the only one injured badly enough to be ruled out of a competitive match. Seems like Thomas, Edwards and Roberts are just beng treated with kid gloves.

Not sure why Clarke or Turner sat out Saturday although we know a few are heading out on loan to Runcorn this week so it might be those two.

I was wrong. It should have been 6. I noticed that Kenyon played on Saturday. Glendon is in some kind of leg brace, so that doesn't look good. The curse of the 2-year contracts.

They should be 200/1. Absolutely no chance

Highly unlikely you'll ever get 200/1 for a club like Chester. I think they have as much chance as anybody else in this league this season without now the likes of Gateshead and York.

All to play for who knows we could be in for a shock!

Every club has a chance at this stage although some do look worse than others. I think the single biggest factor at this level can be ‘luck’ more than a fly tho by else.

Being fortunate enough to have a season with few injuries and lose few players or managers to other clubs because many sides in here have massive player changes from first game to last.

Curzon were a favourite for the drop last season yet I’d be adamant they had a genuine title chance at the half way point…….manager went then player sales and injuries decimated the side which started being swapped and changed each week.

Had we the luck to play most of our 4-3-3 from first half of season with same balanced side we could easily compete.

Is some sides do stand out more for bottom4 right now mostly due to their lack of a decent starting 11 at this point but if they cary the luck once settled

Let him talk us down I think we are a solid squad this year and will do far better than last season.
