Bloody good point yesterday for Curzon but Kings Lynn must wonder how it wasn’t 3

I’ll say it now, I cannot see past Kings Lynn for the title. I have not in my time at this level seen a side which looks as solid and useful all across the park…….cannot see many keeping up with them unless they hit an injury crisis.

Their two forwards are extremely hard to deal with which makes it hard to cope when they go forward. Still we have it a good go and nearly got the 3 points.

I felt we only had one area we were at effective as them which was midfield and first half we used that well, we dominated the possession and play, but created not a single real chance from it, while they had 2-3 good opportunities from less of the ball.

Second half they upped game or we got tired and dominated, our goalie pulled off numerous superb stops all half. Amazingly we got lead from a rare counter breaking into box where goalie had two options of pulling player down or letting player round him……he pulled player down, always think goalies should let player round them since half the time they miss from tighter angles.

That fired up KL even more and we got battered for a while but held on for that period and started to get back the ball when unlucky for us they scored, just got chance and top class save rebound chance to another top class save then rebound and in…..never
Got the ball out.

After that we frankly just held on through
More good stops but did get a couple of breaks one late on seen a ball across face of goal but runners too late.

Well earned point for our effort but they were a lot better than us, doubt I will see better.

Just wish our manager had changed it at 1-1 and not been cowardly, but managers never do thesedays, won’t make subs until their winner happens because they are worried changes will lose them game…..yet we just held on by good saves and luck than tactics.
This seems a pretty fair reflection of yesterday's game. We never looked like losing and somebody soon will be on the end of a thrashing. The officials were pretty poor all afternoon for both sides but nothing can take away the performance of the home goalkeeper. Curzon will cause problems for most teams they play.

Dave, thanks for the report, we are certainly in a purple patch and a good number of players showing they weren't as bad as they looked in the NL, guess it is a combination of dropping down to a lower level and now having all the confidence in the world that the good start has given them.

The referees seem to be getting worse season on season. Maybe time to get more women in.
We had a female referee in our game at Buxton and she was the best I've seen for a good while now. More of the same please.

Solid win against Peterborough Sports. They were neat and tidy, had a lot of the ball, but ultimately a bit toothless. Probably due to Jordan Nicholson being out - could see them causing us more problems with him in the team rather than Michael Gash, who was a bit static. Mark Beck was outstanding - if we could cross a ball consistently well he would be out of sight as leading goalscorer in this league. Armstrong seems to have tweaked his natural instincts this season - we are happier letting the opposition have the ball, and being more solid at the back than of old, and playing on the counter attack. Consequently, we have never looked that eye-catching, and seem like we still have room to improve.

Scarborough home tonight cannot do midweek games so will listen in.

Another very tough game but I am hoping their defeat Saturday may rattle them a little bit.

Think effort is always important vs the promoted sides from last season because they still gain that energy from last season.

Said it before Saturday and it would have been right and same for tonight we need to score two goals in this game to stand a chance.

Looking forward to tonight's game v Chester. We seem to have found some form and have played well recently but it will be a tough game as Chester seem to be performing solidly as well, expecting a decent crowd for this game.

Tough game for us tonight at home to Blyth, play like we have been doing - We should win easily.

But this is Darlo and we never do things as they are supposed too.

Considering the injury list we have that point tonight at Chorley is a great result, on to the cup next week now

Same as us. 3 subs used by the second half today. Played basically 90 minutes with 1 CB and an hour without a striker.

8 first teamers out currently

Frustrating to let a lead slip twice and then so close to the end as well. Excellent first half but Chorley came at us more after the break. Actually seemed to sustain the little spells of pressure as both the equalisers came immediately after we twice had good chances to go a further goal up at the other end.

A point is good enough I suppose, keeps the unbeaten run going despite having so many players out.

I have to say poor Blyth probably did enough to earn a share of the spoils. Both clubs didn't really create much it was that type of game. I anticipated this game being a tough match regardless of Blyth's position in the table.

It was a poor performance tonight by all means considering how well we played on Saturday against for me tougher opposition in PS.

Still it was always gonna take something special to get something out of this game, whether it was a penalty or an own goal or an absolute stunner. And the stunner won it from Ben Liddle the goal was an absolute beauty in stoppage time, huge sigh of relief around the ground we got out of jail with this one.

All things considered it was a welcome result considering the treatment room is beginning to get over crowded with injuries. Another one tonight in Griffiths after about 5 minutes.

This is a good feeling mate - Darlington win 5 league games in a row for the 1st time since 2016.

A good few years ago in the Evo-Stik Premier Division days we had Lucy Oliver as a referee the wife of Michael Oliver.

I think i read she's a level 3 referee now, more woman referees that's a big thumbs up from me.

Think that is Chorley's biggest crowd of the season. Even now, years on from the 'incident', they still seem to be obsessed with us.

Good solid win for us, listened into the Scarborough commentary as I couldn’t get to midweek game.

Sounded pretty comfortable in the end, we didn’t dominate chances but Scarborough had almost nothing so once goal went in seemed solid enough till second goal.

It is, but the reason is simple you brought more fans with you than other team that have visited this season. Thought you thoroughly deserved the point in a decent game, you were comfortably the better side first half then we were the better side second half.

Point at Banbury, good on paper and would have taken it before the match but we played the last 25 minutes with a man extra and created very little. Still signs for concern

Mansell sacked. Not a huge surprise in truth, lots of people kicking off on social media who never watch us. He's a local lad which is why he's had next to no grief whatsoever for results. If it was anyone else they'd have been getting pelters, 13 wins in 45 games with the budget we have isn't good enough.

Given the news that came out about James Rowe getting charged yesterday and Fylde releasing a statement saying basically they’ll release another statement tomorrow is it just me who thinks they are going to try and brazen their way through this? Surely the easiest thing to do would be to say he is suspended pending the out come of the court case!

2 managerial departures in this league today and neither are Rowe. Mansall as Clem Fandago said and now Kevin Wilkin has left Brackley

Wilkin to Gloucester? Any thoughts?
Kevin Wilkin set the tone at the club for seven years, brought them huge momentum and established a real basis for it to build on, on and off the field. Fell short consistently in the playoffs, could never quite get the side to make the final step, and goals have always been a challenge, even with the likes of Lowe and Ndlovu in the side.

Club`s announcement reads as if he was fired. Reading between the lines, I`m wondering whether he realised how much he needed to strengthen, found that the £££s were not available, and chose to head out.

This may mean a clear out of the rest of the squad associated with him, and maybe Armson and Dean in particular. That would be a huge backward step. Those glory days may be in the rear view mirror now, but the Trophy success will always be there.

That`s football, I guess.

Rowe has now 'resigned' and Brackley have appointed Roger Johnson. Probably does suggest that Wilkin was pushed.

I hope Fylde don't appoint Wilkin now. That would feel like a good appointment for them.

That’s got to be it for Rowe in football you would think, he’s pretty much unemployable now. Pretty embarrassing series of events for Fylde going back to when they appointed him.

Steve King appointed. On paper this is exactly what we needed. Hopefully Lee Mansell's mates who are flooding social media now get bored and go back to hating on Joey Barton.
