The mistakes from Horvath are becoming a bit of a trend, but he is still a far better keeper than Shea, who, while is an very solid lower Championship / top end L1 keeper isn’t as good as some make him out to be and has his own limitations. For me Ethan retains his place throughout the season unless he has a real crisis of confidence or gets injured.

Talking of mistakes - that is 3 game changing decisions in 2 games that have gone against us.

2-2 is a very decent point in the end… going to be nip and tuck as we now head into the last quarter of the season. Some difficult games in this period too.

I don’t really see what Horvath has done or does that makes you say this really. Cannot recall a game this season where I’ve come away thinking “thank goodness we’ve got Horvath in goal today he’s really saved us there”. But I can think of quite a few goals and games this season where he’s looked shaky or I’ve thought he could do better with a goal.

Our relative defensive solidity is by far the biggest contributor to our decent defensive record especially of late. Pelly didn’t mean it negatively after the Birmingham but he kind of said it himself after that game - most of the time he’s there kicking the ground!

For me it’s the classic sunk cost fallacy we had with Sluga for a few years. He’s the one with the shirt so therefore must keep it. Don’t see him as any better than Shea and he’s starting to drop clangers (I’ve also never been less confident in a keeper making a penalty save but that’s less his fault) or even Isted who is really playing very well for Barnsley

Im growing into a Rob Edwards fan very very quickly. Another decision where i doubted 2020 a tad and would have liked Critchley.......look how he fared.

We are playing it on the ground more, less long diagonals, use the midfield, come out of defense with it and find midfielders and players like Clark and Osho obv encoraged to play and are relishing it. Even my old fav Bell delivers more going forward. Plus we go forward more. Fix the slight issues in we dont shoot enough, tey to walk the ball in and out final ball/decision and we will motor.

Oh. Hes good in the media too. No histrionics no toys on the floor. We had some appaling decisions last two games that could have (or did) cost us points and a player for the season and he just casually brings it up and hopes it evens out. Powers that be notice as its brought to their attention (surely they review performance and games?) weve been mugged off but with class we just get on with it. COYRRH

I strongly disagree. He isnt at all better let alone by far. Whats Horvarth good at? He isnt a shot stopper, a box commander, a kicker a leader. Get Shea back in. Not just on last nights childs mistake either. Hes not only worse than Shea. Istead is better too

I thought i read some stupid rule, but dont remember if it was wrt to Horvarth, about emergency loans have to play or you are not eligible to sign them????? Maybe thats it?

Conspiracy theories abound on Luton Twitter at the moment after in the aftermath of Berry’s goal against Millwall Allan Campbell was caught on camera not exactly leaping off the bench with everyone else.

Subsequently Edwards has praised Berry who himself hasn’t exactly been a regular under him for “always being the first up to congratulate people” and being a good team player

A subtle dig at Campbell or just 2 and 2 making 25?

Isn't he Scottish?

Probably just one of those dour Andy Murray types!

I did think Campbell was one of your key starters but obviously not.

I noticed on Sky they said Berry had been out injured a long time but thought that was a while ago?

He is and has always come across as a bit of quiet type so any falling out would be out of character id say.

He was key under Jones and rarely rotated but under Edwards much less involved.

Berry is just on and off injured really wjth little injuries. His big injury was a horror one at the back end of the league 2 season and since then he’s only really been a rotational player really. When he’s available he’s always liable to pop up with a goal though, his goal to minutes ratio over the last 2 seasons must be excellent.

He’s a likeable bloke tbf (even if viewed as a snake by quite a few of our fans), and obviously seems to know what he’s doing given the success he’s had, although did seem pretty rigidly stuck on 3-5-2.

I was wondering with Jones now available again whether Edwards would start coming under more pressure given how it must be tempting to bring someone as strongly associated with & successful as Jones back to the club.

Under pressure for what? Improving us?

Why is he a snake for you. What were the circumstances of his departure? He quit if i recall then went to the Golden Shower. Obv poached and approached. Its football sadly. Thats what Jones did, twice - although first was really bad. Hes run his course here. Wont be back again.

Snake because he claimed he was was staying/committed whilst at the same time talking to Watford behind our backs. Personally I don’t hold it against him, could have handled it better that’s football.

Swansea at home for us. We have been playing well of late but not really got the points we “deserved” from this run, certainly not had the rub of the Green with decisions lately.

Swansea have their way of playing which sort of suits our style, lots of possession which opens up our heavy pressing game - we have had some level of success against them due to this.

As usual injuries a concern, Osho went off in the week which puts further pressure at centre half position and may force a re-shuffle there if he isn’t good to go.

Hoping the wheel turns for us today and we get a bit of luck going for us, we have some real tough games coming up in the next five. Need a win here really to continue a playoff push.

He does indeed start, Pelly rested. Makes sense as Swansea style very much suits Campbell, press high and use his seemingly boundless energy. Got to be disciplined and organised in the press or we can get pulled out of shape.

Made quite hard work of it but a deserved win. Dominated the first half against a very passive Swansea. Should have been up before we were. Second half more even as Swansea injected some more urgency to their play but we still had the better of it and Horvath largely untroubled. Think he made 1 pretty routine save really.

Need to be more clinical and ruthless in attack though, should have won with some more comfort than we did but a deserved victory overall. Not sure what the punch up on the benches was but made for an interesting end to the game

Would have been there all day and not scored .

Can hardly say we created any clear cut chances which is probably a bigger issue considering we had a lot of attacking “talent “ out there .

And they must be told to pass the ball around the back like a hot potato .

Preston defended well and broke dangerously at times .

Dare I suggest the unthinkable? Yes, they have a game in hand on us, but with us playing them next Saturday, we could go within 4 points of second place Sheffield United who are on a bit of an indifferent run since the start of their cup run to the QF.

Especially with Middlesbrough and Blackburn also in that chasing pack. Regardless, automatic promotion certainly isn't sewn up for them.

As for today, I was a bit bemused as to what Swansea's intentions were in the first half. They seemed intent on slowing the game down, frustrate and hit on the counter - heck even their supporters were happy at playing piggie in the middle with the football in the stand after just 11 minutes. Seemed a bit odd to be honest.

It was a pretty average game in all honesty, but to get another 1-0 victory at this stage of the season is all important.

No idea what Kyle and Martin got sent off for?
