Bristol City tonight is going to be another tough one - they’ve shown a fair amount of improvement since Christmas but are not hugely free scoring (much like ourselves) and are down to the bare bones squad wise.

We just need to go for it, but I sense another tight game. We’ve generally had a very good record against an underachieving side, but we owe them one after August’s no show.

Again, at some point we’re going to get decisions going our way. I see Sharp hasn’t been cited for the latest miss by a referee.

I sense a challenging game with Bristol City looking to make us play a game style that doesn’t suit us and ask us to break them down. That’s the route of our fairly average home record this season and why our away is much better.

Hoping Harry Cornick gets a decent reception

Yeah I can see this being a game that stretches us too far and a defeat quite possible. That said we have had an amazingly strong and upward ten years or so and we are probably as strong mentally right now than at any point. Those boys fight for each other and dont lie down and take it very often.

I also hope and expect Harry to get an excellent reception. If fit Id have hoped Kal would got a good one, but that might be asking a bit much

Just saw the QPR result, that’s a genuine stunner. Shipping 6 to a relegation rival with the form they have both had for a while. That’s shocking, never thought they were truely in danger until tonight
That was one result worthy of a double take and even now I am self doubting it wasn't just a typo, great result for Blackpool but surely that does not bode well for QPR.

Good to get a win .

Decent 1st half with some excellent pacy attacking play then had to ride it out 2nd a bit as Birmingham changed formation but generally solid enough .
Being honest..... They're pure shit, just don't seem to be able to inspire anything.

I love Corndog!!!!! Just comes across as a nice lad.

I think a draw is on the cards for the very reasons you say. We're just not doing it at home.

No reason why Corndog wont get a good reception.

Thought that was going to be another in a long line of midweek games where we have dominated but not made it count. Bristol City barely in it for the first half, could and should have been 2 or 3 up. Second half more even, then still not massively threatening but scarring from that PNE game where we somehow didn’t win a bit in the back of the mind.

Got the deserved win in the end, should have been more. Could do with goalscorers from a few other areas as you worry if Morris goes down but another good performance and deserved the 3 points.

Well at HT last night, Luton were 4 points from second place. Then another kick in the teeth with ANOTHER bad refereeing decision gifts Sheffield United a winner.

It was very important to win last night as virtually everyone else did. Seems to be the case that the better teams are now becoming a bit more consistent than the mid part of the season.

A win at Sunderland on Saturday, whose form has dropped off a cliff in recent weeks prior to the international break would end a wonderful run.

Installing Kompany prob most of all. Theyve managed relegation to perfection - unlike some ;-)

Shipped out the money earners, sulkers and dead wood that wouldnt have grafted or knuckled down. Then brought in the right balance of perms and loans. This has all clicked without a bump in the road. Worthy Champs and likely by one of, if not the, biggest margin.

Sunderland away for us today. Thought they were an excellent side in the game down here, looked like they had some good young players and caused us a lot of problems. Think next season they could be one of the top teams in the league with some additional maturation and addition. They are though without a couple of their best players including Diallo who is one of the better players I’ve seen this season.

Think a point would be a decent return but we seem away from home we have a great mentality.

Boro away.

7 unbeaten but we've only beaten shite like Wigan, Cardiff, and Rotherham. I think Boro will have too much for us up top with Akpom & Archer. A draw would be good.

Think we've sold about 1700 for this one, it's our Gentry Day, which always boosts numbers.

Fernandez in for Brady would be my only change, but wouldn't be surprised if we're unchanged.

No Evans who got a bang to the neck midweek.

Lowe has gone for Ledson and one up front. Feel sorry for Delap, like Riis, Lowe's tactics don't suit him at all. Wasted talent on the bench.

Boro look quality, happy to be just 1 down.

Giles, Akpom, Archer, and McGree. Class players at this level.

Blown away. Archer is too good for this league.

When are Luton actually going to get some decisions going their way? What happened to it evening it out during the season?

That decision, from a ref who had a very good game up until then, is as bad as the one that went Sheffield Uniteds way on Wednesday.

Why are the EFL blooding a brand new ref for a trial fixture in a game of such magnitude?

Too slow and trying to pass the ball in.

No quick play or attempting to get shots at goal.

Remarkable we are where we are with some of the decisions of late. Absolutely baffling, being penalised for everything and getting nothing our way of late. This penalty decision was egregious especially as the ref didn’t look keen in the first place.

Take a point beforehand but feeling pretty miffed at that really, we are owed a few things going our way - which as above is remarkable given where we are. If we’d have had the run of the Green this season with decisions who knows where we could be, we only seem to concede from penalties at the moment

Comes after Mowbray had a real pop at officiating in the week ..

And of course he isn’t bothered at all about the decision being right or wrong whereas he was after the other night .

To go into the March international break just three points off the play-offs is pretty incredible. Don’t think we’ll be consistent enough to get in there but still a fantastic season.

And selling a few players replacing them well with better players or ones that suit
Kompany’s way of playing .
Yes but (hopefully) the manager (Kompany) has had autonomy over recruitment so he can shape the team how he feels best.

After over twenty two years of living abroad there is one thing i miss. Only one. Attending Luton games. Above that. Attending this one. Im a reasonable bloke, fairly down to earth and sensible - even a tad of intelligence. I have an irrational but pathological hatred of the Scum. I have to try reel myself in, even to this day, this far away.......... It doesnt work.

Theres a fancy resort next door to me owned by their ex Chairman Lord Ashcroft. When he is in country and occasionaly takes a morning stroll past my house i have to supress urges to start singing 'We hate Watford' from the balcony. Im almost 60. I wont be supressing it if he walks by tomorrow.

COYH fuck em up
