Has there been any indication about what’s going to happen with Dover’s results? And when?

Rubbish set of results those, you're all a bunch of twats.

Only Halifax rightfully dropped their 3 points.

Absolutely not. Wasn't Currie a long time assistant manager? Seem to recall his promotion to manager went ok for you..

Recruitment in the summer killed us. We didnt strengthen. We've gone into this level with a NLS squad and suffering the consequences. I'm an eternal optimist and thought they'd be ok, but midfield in particular are way out of their depth in this division. Big rebuild ahead this summer and then we'll judge whether Maynard and Saunders are good enough.

Currie didn't replace a manager who had any success here, though. At least not in the 18 years prior.

From the outside looking in it's just surprising that you all seem to agree with a very successful manager being thrown under the bus and being replaced by his assistant. Time will tell I guess.

I don't think you can write the championship off just yet. Nerves take hold, form dips, teams strengthen and get runs going right at the business end. Still time for one of the pack to get a really good fun going and for Sutton to hit a sticky patch.

This. We’re only on mile 17 of a marathon, long way to go yet.

And normal order resumed. Awful performance. Two midgets up front, you’d think let’s play into their feet? Nope, let’s just lump it up to them against their giant centre backs all game.

As for the goal, completely school boy defending. Bradbury completely switched off on a ball over the top and Johnson somehow not saved it.

Thank god we don’t play midweek. We’ve looked absolutely knackered at times in the last 3 games and need all the rest we can get to recharge the batteries and get players fit for Sutton
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Completely predictable response. What was the score you clown 1-0 or 5-0? You do understand that one may lose without being "awful", right?

Fucking tit! :fl: :fl: :fl: :fl: :fl: :fl: :fl: :fl:

Because we're privvy to his behaviour this season. Do you honestly think our board would get themselves in a position where a successful manager they wanted to retain walked away? Brennan is not the saint you would like to think he is. His challenge now is to find a club willing to give him an opportunity, it's a small world, people talk. I think it's quite telling that he hasn't walked into the vacancy at your club yet despite TK making him a fantastic offer late last year. And that's probably the right decision from TK to be honest.

Any idea what he did?

We won thanks to a worldie freekick, 11 points from 15 for us which is come going under McMahon. Unless we get a couple more back for Tuesday I don’t see us getting anything against pools as our home form is shocking. We just don’t score enough goals, not won a game by more than 1 goals all season.

Great game of football at the EBB today - two good sides who both gave it a go and a point was probably a fair result. Was quite impressed with Boreham Wood, they looked pretty dangerous and surprised to read they’ve only won once in their last 10 as they’re one of the better sides I’ve seen this season.
We’re so close to being a very good side at this level - if we can get Walker, Kinsella and Tanner back for the run in we could be dangerous. Much better in the last few weeks, still a lot to play for this season, and anyone from Dagenham upwards will have one eye on the play offs.

Still not great today but a definite improvement on recent weeks. Much more intensity and back to the high press which worked so well early in the season. Still needed an error from the keeper to score though, our first goal from open play for 433 minutes apparently!

I've been critical of Jake Andrews but fair play to him, man of the match in a more advanced role today. Some really dangerous crosses from him, just a shame nobody ever seems to attack them.

Sutton will win it comfortably. They outplayed us completely, by far the best team I've seen. They've got this level down to a tee. Direct, hard working, gamesmanship, ugly, plastic pitch, players who know their roles. We deserved nothing from it.
I think completely outplayed is a bit much but they did edge it. Most of their chances came from Jordan Keane being utter crap and well we didn’t play well could have scored a couple and should have had at least one penalty.

Sutton’s combination of immense pressing and pure physicality alongside a decent amount of quality appears to be a winning combination.

Other than the plastic pitch bit, has there ever been a year when this combination hasn’t won the league?

Good management wins this league more than a good budget far more than any of the others above.

We’re the only team you can make any kind of convincing case for being able to get close because we’re the only ones with games in hand on Sutton (two assuming Dover’s results go), but it’s a case that collapses if you’ve watched us for any length of time this season.

yes an improved perfomance today but mainly as people in their right positions and not in defence where they are utter wank at times. our main keeper also back in which will help.

From a neutral viewpoint it’s building up for a very tight finish which makes it very hard to call, will be watching with interest to see how it unfolds.

We were pretty decent today I thought, we're playing without confidence but we looked pretty powerful along the back and wing backs worked well and midfield was as good as it's been all season. Strikers not looking very potent though.

I'd be surprised if any team walks it this season. Stockport with Madden should be strongest in the run in but I could see our owners backing the manager again of we're right in it with a few games to go.
Dave Challinor is a proven manager so Hartlepool are unlikely to fade, Wrexham going well, Halifax and Chesterfield winning more than they're losing and Torquay are picking up a bit of form again after a dodgy month or so.
Sutton have been consistently good, we were lucky to beat them and the plastic pitch is worth a few points too but they may have a sticky patch yet, it happens to most teams at some point in the season.

Yeah but you're racing against a bunch of cripples with special needs and no sense of direction. It's in the bag

If nothing else was learnt from yesterday’s game it’s that we need to be at our best throughout or we may not get the win.

One could argue we have had a sticky patch or two this season. In November we went 3 games without a win culminating in the horror show defeat at Wrexham. And I don’t know how much of an advantage the pitch actually gives as whilst we’ve taken 31 points from a possible 45 at home with a goal difference of +19, away from home it’s 26 points from a possible 36 with a goal difference of +4 (that Wrexham defeat really hurt us there).

Sutton should walk it from this point, so many crap teams in this league and enough games against the bottom half sides who have nothing to play for will see to that. With no relegation that early holiday starts now for lots of sides, you see it so often when teams become safe and can’t reach play offs.

I honestly cannot understand why it is taking so long for the league to make a decision on Dover now?

What are they actually waiting for? Even if Dover wanted to change their mind and start playing again it’s far too late for that now so surely it’s now just a straight forward decision as to whether:

A) Their results this season are expunged, and they begin next season in this division with a hefty - points (probably most likely)

B) They’re kicked out and relegated into the South or maybe from the National League completely (results of course expunged also)

At the moment, everyone is looking at a false league table in regards points on board and those with games in hand because of this Dover situation. It’s frustrating for us because we’ve not actually played them this season, but I’m sure a few teams above us will have and more than likely took points off them so with those points taken away, we’d be able to see what position were really in!

I know I shouldn’t be shocked at how long it’s taking with the NL board’s form but, once again I ask... what are the league waiting for before making this decision!?

Yes, but not for public forums.

People forget that Brennan walked away from us, not the other way around. He threw his toys out of the pram.

Doesn’t Brennan have a history of walking out on jobs? He definitely walked out on Hemel and Kingstonian. In between those two he was at the Billericay circus which means however he left there it would have been interesting.

Not sure that’s entirely true. He was at Hemel for 8 years. If you see what Hemel fans wrote about him, he’d taken them as far as he could.

At Kingstonian the story is that his son was involved in a road accident and he took time away to be with his family. Billericay was just a shit show. The issue now is that he’s had four jobs in less than three years.

As far as I was aware, the Barnet job this time, pretty much like last time, was a done deal. Not sure why TK has had second thoughts or paused the process. With no relegation in place, it would make sense to leave the decision until the season ends. Nothing to be gained by making an appointment now, when there is little point in spending money for the rest of the season when you don’t have to.

I expect Barnet to be a lot better next season.
