Sounding very much like our game will be off. Hope all those Harrogate fans aren't en route yet. Pitch inspection at 11am.

Announced five minutes back. We have a pitch inspection at Rodney Parade very shortly.

Pitch inspection at 12.

Looks like it will be sunny in Bradford and 2-3 deg by 12 so fingers crossed.

Todays referee inspected the pitch yesterday and deemed it playable. Admittedly, temperatures dropped overnight, but it’s been a mild morning. Sun expected to make an appearance around 12pm.

I’d probably say 70% chance this game is on. Might come down to whether the ref can be arsed officiating today.

Rumours going round at mansfield tjay northampton called it off because of injuries haha.

However there has been a lot of cold weather around, and it’s not like we’ve not done it before (before SOC brings up us conveniently leaving the sprinklers on the season we won the conference  )

I don’t think it’s been called off due to this injuries but looking at Northampton injury list I imagine they are happy with that.

The club don't call it off, it's the ref, unless they dropped him a bung

League Two games dropping like flies. There doesn't seem to be any problems in sunny Barrow though, those undersoil fuel rods are working a treat.

Definitley. I was wondering how you always get your games on.

Our game at Crewe is off, unsurprisingly.

Haha, our game is off. Absolutely no mention of any problems or pitch inspection all day. Supposedly the pitch is in better nick than the Swindon game played before Christmas.

That's how easy the fork went in in the "bad" area... absolute joke of a referee.

How do you know it went in easy?

For all we know they could have drilled 4 holes through the rock solid khumbu icefall glacier pitch and then placed the fork in.

even Holker Old Boys reserve match a mile a way is on and their ground is in one of the most exposed part of Barrow on top of a hill

That might be at the sunny side of the Barrow Western Cym.

Funny reading somebody on the Barrow forum saying Carlisle fans would be having meltdowns due to the Bradford away postponement - only for his club to throw all its toys out of the pram a few minutes later when their own game was called off :fl:

Seems ours was the opposite, club insisting it wasn't playable, ref insisting on a second inspection at 1 before calling it off anyway, hope the 100 Harrogate fans that set off aren't upset at us.

Looking at this, I can’t help but wonder if the referee has fucked up by calling it off at midday.

A couple of hours and some sunshine later and that possibly looks playable. Unless it was the other end that was ice.

I take it refs will be paid regardless of whether the game goes ahead or not? It only takes a couple of postponements to start the domino effect.

Everyone knew the forecast for this afternoon, and the pitch was only partially frozen infront of the South stand FOUR hours before kick off.

It makes you wonder.
