Opposing the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre!!!!
I don't know if the definition of rape has changed, but my understanding of it was that rape only happens when a man forces his dobber into the vagina or anus of another person against their will and or without their consent. I thought everything else was sexual assault. Ergo can a woman rape a man?

I'm sure women have been charged with raping men, i seem to remember a case in Germany recently.

Yeah - that's the exact wording of the law as well.

The dictionary definition, and the legal definition most countries use, is forcing someone to have sexual intercourse without consent. The legal definition in the UK on the other hand is pretty archaic when it comes to this and does only include penile penetration. So in other words in the UK women can't rape as far as the law is concerned. I would say the more objectionable part of the story though is that the judge essentially gave her a slap on the wrists because she's female and the victim is male. One of the most overt cases of institutionalized sexism you're likely to see anywhere. Unbelievable that the justice system has let that kid down like this. The judge has basically just taken the word of the father (who had been fucking her too) who said 'na , he loved it' even though the child's testimony says otherwise.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
It's reported very differently. Everyone had a laugh and a joke about that lad who was sleeping with his teacher, and more than one story reported it with plenty of holiday snaps of her... Phwoooar, eh?

The other way around, and it's the worst picture they can find of the man with 'PERVERT' headlines.

That was quite an annoying video. Dunno why I watched it all.

Everything about this, including the verdict, does seem appalling though. The victim's been badly let down by the justice system here. I would expect the judgement to be torn apart on appeal if the CPS do decide to go there.

11 year old LAD.

Seriously though, there seems to be a lot of double standards when women have sex with underage boys; in the same way that if a teenage lad sleeps with quite a few people he is a legend but if it is a girl she is a slag.

It's wrong but, subconsciously, a lot of people view female on male rape in terms of it only being possible for a boy/man to have sex if he is sexually aroused and has an erection. And, in that case, in simplistic terms, they surely must have wanted it so how can it be rape. Like I said, wrong but there all the same for many I suspect.

In this case surely it's far more simplistic so I'm really unsure how she has escaped jail time. She is 21 and he is 11. How is that therefore different than the statutory rape of a 13 year old girl by a 25 year old bloke (for example)? In that hypothetical case she might well have given consent but in the eyes of the law she isn't old enough to do so so therefore he would be tried as if he had raped her without consent. Why is this different?

Its strange that one of the judges reasons is the boy being mature for his age and the girl being immature thus bringing the age gap closer. Well if we're talking mental age then did the father rape her?

Also the arousal=consent issue is a false belief. When men anally rape other men the person being raped will often be aroused which is, apparently, one of the most damaging things about man-man rape.

It's without doubt a false belief. But it's without doubt one of the reasons female on male rape isn't viewed in the same way.

Prosecutors are looking into the sentance after complaints from the public that the judge wast too lenient on her.

I always find that strange that because the general public moan about it he then could change his mind and give a harsher sentence.
