Since no one else has created it I will. Just the two games tonight:

Hartlepool v Stockport
Halifax v Eastleigh

Two interesting fixtures. We could do with a win tonight after getting Solihulled last week against the run of play. Surely got to fancy us on a cold, wet Tuesday night at home. Pool and Stockport game could be a tight one. Hard to call from a neutral perspective.

Looks like we've gone with 5 at the back, have absolute zero confidence in getting anything here, Kitching to have the game of his life, as is always the case, probably chuck Southam-Hales on at some point as well just to rub it in.

Ash Palmer sent off for playing a waist-high ball 'cos the Hartlepool forward decided to duck down to head it. Absolutely insane. Hope our lads start doing the same and get the game abandoned due to lack of players

Aye soft as shite that red, have to watch it back but Armstrong seemed to duck his head right down.

We've got some overrated players for sure. There's an air of arrogance about us aswell on the pitch. I spotted it quite early in the season to be honest.

Got to take our medicine tonight. Hartlepool could land another couple on us here. Half an hour to play against 9 men.

Well disenchanted with Pools why do they always have to keep reeling me back in!?

Cracking result though like. Watch us go get stuffed at Halifax now.

2-0 at half time to us. Great counter for the first. Chadwick did well to hold off the defenders and lay it on a plate for Allen. Second a great corner in from Senior. Headed down by Bradbury and a great finish by Green.

Good result that after some pessimism earlier on my part, first sending off changed the game, gonna have to watch it again but it looked like Armstrong stooped down to head it, we've had shite reffing decision go against us recently (Solihoof away) and it's just the way it is sadly, second one was deserved.

Hard to judge too much on performances against 10 then 9 men, but glad to see us score four, Luke Armstrong has what we've been missing, someone to poke and prod home any loose ends in the box.

Ooh, no Ash Palmer on Saturday then? A player who always causes us grief, like Mulhern did, or Hinchliffe does every game. We may get a 0-0 out of you on Saturday.

We made hard work out of that second half. Danns decided to play the perfect through ball for Eastleigh to get one back but a Bell screamer late on killed it off. We looked tired second half. Not confident for Saturday at Hartlepool

See Gannon is blaming the culture of the club for last night's defeat.

There's only one way this is going.

Clearly wasn't happy with Rooney who probably just fancied having Christmas off.

Hasn’t he been the manager there for ages? Surely it’s his culture!?!

That’s exactly what I was thinking! He’s signed the players and set the culture
We have a director of football now. The likes of Rooney and Hogan wouldn’t have been signed in a month of Sunday’s if he was solely in charge of recruitment.

He can only work with younger players who on the whole buy into his Methods. Experienced players don’t want to change their ways or be micromanaged when they are on the pitch.

Our recruitment seems to be Salfordesque - very win now with experienced pros and then move on to a slightly better bunch rather than a squad full of young talented players who can grow with us.

The mood would turn sour if he was sacked but unless their is a change in vision from the new owner/DOF then it’s only heading one way.

You’d have thought someone with Gannon’s record at Stockport would be left to crack on.

I’m a bit surprised we haven’t gone down a similar route. Foreign owners who run an analytics company screamed director of football and head coach, but they’ve basically left Ardley to get on with it.

Ardley does say he signs players after the owners have done analysis so he doesn't have a totally free hand, but his recruitment has been consistently good. I think this gives the owners faith in Ardley's picks.

I think Stockport would me mad to get rid of Gannon just now. They've no divine right to walk the league and when it's stop start it's hard to get that winning routine straight into gear.

His brother used to conveniently get himself banned over Christmas most years too if I recall.

Jay Harris used to get sent off the last match before Boxing Day like clockwork too. Or string his bookings out to perfectly time a suspension.

It was a bizarre interview, praising them for how they played with 9 men then the next second he's binning them all out.

Man is losing his marbles.

Not really tbh.

He's always had a pop at players in interviews whether we were knocking on play off doors in League One all the way down to Conference North. That's his style and it happens win, lose or draw. I remember him going on a 5 minute rant about how shit our throw ins were after a 3-0 win a couple of years ago. As WNM says, young players who are adaptable to his style is where he has his success. The influx of more established players in the summer, some who weren't even his picks, will complicate that.

He'll get this season I imagine, but the owner is ambitious and will want more the following season. The DOF is not blameless IMO, not sure he's signed players of the right mentality to a play for a club of our size.
