Did the ref seriously just blow this whistle as we were about to shoot 8 yards out! Wow what a joke. Good game though will take a point.

Our disgraceful record at home to Wimbledon continues. Awful ref for both sides today. Didn’t have the Dons down as a cheaty team, but their gamesmanship today was disgusting. The antics of certain players was a joke at times. Shame we had no quality up front today to punish all the time wasting. Missed Quigley badly today.

We did not play well but we basically lost that game in the first minute of both halfs. Very frustrating to be caught sleeping like that.

Chance to make it right on Tuesday.

Typical Swindon performance. Huff and puff against poor teams and gift up chances to really fuck it up.

Next 3 should sort us out - Bradford, Mansfield, Tranmere.

1-1 massive improvement on the Carlisle performance and probably the right result

Absolutely dire against 10 men again. Ref and the Carlisle CBs handed us that game on a plate. Don’t want to go all hellogregory, but we’re top and we’re unutterably mediocre.

I'm certain if we'd kept 11 men on the pitch we'd have gotten at least a draw out of that. Didn't see whether the sending off was the correct decision but it came in the aftermath of the referee missing a pretty blatant handball in the box by an Orient defender so if the referee had only been actually watching the game then we'd have had a penalty and whatever incident Edmondson got sent off for would never have happened, so feel a bit robbed.

Cack but 10 men for the majority of the game means a point is decent terrible game as expected.

Don't think I've ever left a game so pleased after a defeat.

Top notch performance.

Good luck to anyone wanting to put up a fight against us because we mean business and look like a proper team.

The reaction on the Orient bench says it all.

Up the blues and up Paul Simpson!!

As i predicted i thought we’d struggle and sadly i was correct. still a very surprising result to lose to crawley, though deservedly so.

Shambolic defending (from harbottle in particular, who was rightfully hauled off), also odd that he’d move lapslie out wide, which made little sense.

thankfully results didn’t go against us today really, and with 3 home games on the bounce hopefully we can get back to winning ways tuesday

streamed the game, certainly lucky to win this week. Two dreadful mistakes from Mellish and Huntington gave us two of our goals.

We didn’t play well against ten men - having said that apart from Carlisles second they didn’t create much after despite dominating possession - Vigs didn’t have a save to make.

Red card was nailed on, he put his hand in Pratley face - Seconds earlier Carlisle should’ve had a penalty, handball by Tom James but ref the wrong side to spot it.

Ref apart from the red card had a poor game I thought, gave poor decisions for both sides but got a key one wrong.

No doubt we had some luck today - but we defended well. Just about overall.

Carlisle I think will do well this season.

It wasn’t a top notch performance. We were good with the ball, but we’ve given away 3 shockingly bad goals. Good finishes on the first 2 but so poor from us.

i agree if we’d had 11 players we’d have got something, but if like people say it was a red, then again it’s our own stupid fault.

I fear today will be a turning point in our season. Our squad is now wafer thin with the injuries and now a 3 game suspension. I fully expect we’ll lose the next two tough away games with our depleted squad.

Lost 3-2 to Northampton today, our horrendous record versus the Cobblers continues to get worse. Didn't think we deserved to lose but didn't do enough to win, I think a draw would have been fair.

First 25-30 minutes, Northampton were comfortably the better of the two sides. We made the worst possible start, a long ball over the top gave their striker something to chase, he managed to get himself between Vancooten and the goal, TVC made an attempt at the ball but got nowhere near and the referee correctly awarded a penalty which was converted for 1-0. After that we just weren't at the races, were making errors and Northampton looked much more likely to add to their lead as we were offering nothing going forward. I think in amongst a melee there was a possibility of another Northampton penalty but the challenge resulted in a Northampton effort on goal which maybe gave the referee an excuse not to give it.

Then around the 25th minute mark the game just went into a lull, Northampton stopped pressing and we started to get a foothold in the game. Rose levelled the game for us out of nothing, he got played in by Taylor and he managed to get goal side of the defender, looked like the keeper was going to come out to smother the ball but off balance Rose sort of hooked the ball towards goal and it was 1-1.

At 1-1 I thought we looked more likely to take the lead, Reid had a goal ruled out in the second half which looked to be onside but I'd have to see it again to be sure. When the third goal did come it was for Northampton, Hylton took the ball down and laid it in the path of Bowie (I think) and his scuffed effort was too much for Ashby-Hammond who may have been unsighted, possibly an error by the keeper, willing to give him the benefit of the doubt though as he's been great for us this year.

Our reaction to falling behind was positive. We levelled once again, this time from a corner, the ball was played to the far post and headed back across goal, the ball wasn't properly cleared and Gilbey lashed home to make it 2-2. Unfortunately the scoring wasn't done there, Pinnock got in done the left, his ball across the area made it's way to McWilliams he guided the ball home at the back post to give Northampton their win.

Northampton came closest to a 6th goal, a counter attack as we pressed saw a 3 on 2 type situation and Hylton guided his effort wide, with hindsight he could have played his team mate in for a tap in but he was never passing there. In stoppage time Hylton was sent off, was a nothing scuffle with Sweeney as the pair tangled, Hylton stupidly right in front of the referee sort of pushed off Sweeney by raising a hand to his face, was a soft one but hands to the face is always going to be a red.

Quite an end to the game, disappointing to be on the wrong end of a late goal, hopefully we bounce back in the same manner to the Salford and Bradford defeats.

Accurate match report. Terrible game of Football, Walsall defended deep and resolutely between the red card and our goal. We didn’t look like we were going to bother troubling the goalkeeper in the last 10 minutes.

One to forget

It's really weird, we are 5th now but have looked far from being brilliant. Don't get me wrong 3 points is all we ask for but it's been a little bit of a grind to get 6 home points against two very poor sides. Baudry and Clayton a bit of a liability at the back today and Wakeling hasn't looked good since his new contract. We did score 2 good goals and probably should have put the game to bed second but it was far from as convincing as we would like.

As you say the next 3 games much tougher, wonder if we might bring Reed back for a bit of nous.

It sure is a turning point in our season.

A turning point for the positive.

I'm sick and tired of reading your negative bollocks on here. Give it a rest. Support the team. It is a team worth supporting for the first time in years.

We are good whether you like it or not.

Superb atmosphere as well. A real togetherness between fans and players. Makes sense if you weren't there with your negative attitude dampening spirits.

On tv did the third goal look onside?

I thought at the time he was off.

Well if you’re sick and tired you can always fuck off.

And my negative bollocks happens to be right. The goals we conceded were atrocious from a defensive point of view. Plus we got beat.

We were rubbish today, and deserved nothing ; but I have to say that Wimbledon were an utter disgrace with their antics and play acting. Absolutely shameful behaviour for nearly all the second half. The ref added on 7 minutes, but the reality is they were rolling around on the floor, or claiming serious injuries for nearer 15 minutes.
Have they done that before, or were Dale some sort of experiment to see what they could get away with?

Wouldn't mind, but one of their coaching staff was applauding them collapsing as if it is encouraged.

One of the best 0-0 games I’ve seen, two properly good sides battling it out. The ref helped that for the most part but was totally inconsistent towards the end.

No doubt we’ll both be up there this season based on that.

I won't fuck off. I bothered to turn up today.

There's a time to be negative and we've had an hell of a lot of it during the last 15 years but now is certainly not a time for negatively.

We lost a game but our performance was spot on. Everything you need to know about today was shown by the reaction of the Orient players and officials at full time. They know that they got away with one.

No need to soil your nappy.

What are you on about? When did I say I wasn’t there?
Apologies got you mixed up with the Orient supporter.

I won't be apologising for anything else though because your attitude and opinion is way off the mark currently.

Entertaining game. Thought first half was ours and second was Grimsby's so a point fair. Would've preferred us to go for it late on but can't be too critical.

Weird game at Brunton park today. I don’t think I have seen 10 men play as well against 11 as that today and in reverse I have not seen 11 play as poorly against 10.

For top of the table I expected a lot more than that from them plus game to flow in a completely different way than it did.

Our own fault we lost, can blame referee but the goals conceded were shocking,
Goalkeeper was dreadful and no one tried to close down…….you cannot gift top of the table 3 goals and even think you will get anything.

But Orient we’re poor, I expected a game with them dominating and us trying to catch a break, all I saw in the end was a side full of gamesmanship…….but very good at it.

Has got sides promoted before, look at Lincoln, but if referee’s get wise they are in trouble and would not be shocked if they dropped down table. Maybe the early goals just knocked their entire gameplan from first minute.

Gibson also deserves alot of stick for a poor game despite his goal, time and again Orient gave him acres of space, time and room on the left side and it was matched with dithering or shocking crosses into the box.

But the battle was good, desire and fight, could have won that game even with the 10 men but the 3rd was the kicker and caused by such amateur defending……needs clamped down on.

Red was shocking but nowt you can do, we flogged that one ourselves.

No,your not the first.
They were like that at Pools, especially the little shit up front.
It was like being back in the NL again with all the diving(sorry gamesmanship) going on.
