Some interesting games - Blackpool vs Doncaster, Bristol Rovers vs Wigan, Hull vs Ipswich, Northampton vs Rochdale, Oxford vs Portsmouth.

Home to Swindon for us. Our home record defies our league position really because we're pretty mid-table at home and we need to start improving that.

We'll be without Walsh, Bridcutt, Morton, Archibald, Anderson and potentially Scully, Jackson and Grant, which would be an absolute nightmare. We're looking a little tired, not quite having the same spring in our step and players dropping like flies.

Could do with three points here ahead of a long, tricky looking trip to Plymouth at the weekend.

There are certain games year on year that normally end in defeat or at best a draw for us, Sunderland home and away, Fleetwood away, Oxford away, Accrington home and away, Burton home and away and Blackpool. So far we’ve managed a win away at Burton and home to Blackpool so not expecting anything but defeat tomorrow with Madine doing his usual rolling on the floor in the box routine

Away at Lincoln on paper is a nailed on defeat. Good to read you have injury problems but we are so shit I totally expect that not to matter a jot.

Our 3 points on Saturday was a bizarre combination of Crewe's inability to put a multitude of chances away and us fluking a goal in the last minute as well as being the recipient of a frankly very generous own goal. I suspect we won't get anything like the luck we got on Saturday.

3-0 Imps.

Sunderland away and we have a pretty good record against them having never lost in something like 5 games

Tall order tomorrow night, they are finding some form and we are trying to find 3 points. At this moment in time a draw would be an excellent result continuing some reasonable form under our new manager

Thought Twine’s goal was pretty decent, tbh. No fluke there. Unfortunately you are correct about everything else.

Not much more to add, the injuries are really concerning and an already stretched squad if Scully and Jackson are out is going to be threadbare.

Other than Doncaster at home, we've not really been at our fluid best and haven't been convincing at home especially against teams in the bottom half of the division.

It's results over performances at the moment and if we can get through this 6 week period when hopefully some of the injured return we can give the final stretch of the season a really good go.

Our next three games; Wigan (H), Shrewsbury (H), Burton (A).

With Barton taking over today I can't help but feel more optimistic about our chances. Great chance at 7/9 points in the next 3 games

Hull away. Our record against them since 2008 is P14 W0 D3 L11 F8 A28. 0-1 defeat then.

Definitely a concern with the injuries mounting up. If they all don't start tomorrow, that leaves us with 16 fit players (including a spare keeper). Assuming Eyoma would come in a CB, with Sanders/ Jones in midfield. We'll have to wait and see with everything crossed!

I hope Barton does well for you, he brought plenty of positives to Fleetwood and certainly raised the club's profile ( the good, the bad and the ugly ! ) He was very fortunate in having a Chairman who supported him in the transfer market and helped bring in some quality players

The question is, will he have the same level of ( financial ) support or have to make do with what is there ?

Good luck to him in his new appointment

I had gotten over Saturday fairly quickly, but reading that description has reopened all the wounds!

Accrington at home for us. Not confident. We’ve been fairly poor since mid way through the 10 game unbeaten run. Look very stale. Hopefully we will change the shape slightly in midfield. Wintle holding, then push Murphy forward slightly and bring Lowery slightly deeper. More like last seasons shape. Want Murphy and Lowery next to each other.

And curve ball. I would play Walker in place of Mandron.

What’s gone wrong at Swindon his season?

You were so good last season I expected you to be comfortable in League 1 this season.

Thanks for the feedback, having listened to his first interview - I have to say I'm surprised at how well and articulate he comes across!

He will be undoubtedly backed here, our owner wants to push us onto the Championship. I still think we have a good squad that just needs the right manager and a few tweaks. I have to say, I feel confident Joey is that man

Short version. Owner wants out, didn’t want to fund any sort of recruitment. Wellens saw the writing on the wall and legged it. Then, we employed Sheridan - the living embodiment of footballing evil. We have no discernible ‘style’, the decent loan players we had all wanted out and left, DJ got flogged to Charlton. I think we are attempting to play hoofball but without any of the kind of players capable of doing so. So we’ve ended up with a mish mash of nothingness. How we’re not in the bottom 4 is beyond comprehension.

We could do with winning this, I would like to think Saturday would have given the lads a confidence boost.

No you are totally correct ID, my language was very clumsy there to be honest. Our goal actually came from a half decent move and a calm finished by Twine. The goal wasn't fluky, but I would say our win almost certainly was.

Doesn't he like to think he's a bit of an orator? I have some vague recollection of him being interested in poetry possibly? I guess as he was such a thug and a bit of a nutcase as a player you don't really expect him to speak as well as he does.

Yeah to the GTFC fan who asked, this is kind of it. Although that said, I think our inability to resign Yates and Doyle and to a lesser extent lose Keshi Anderson and Kayne Woollery did hurt what Wellens was trying to build. Our recruitment wasn't anywhere like as succesful as last season - having 2 useless keepers didn't help and the Doyle/Yates replacement was a past it Brett Pitman, not to mention being very poor number wise in central midfield. After Wellens left, Power decided to rip up any foundations he had laid and recruited a total dinosaur whose footballing philosophy couldn't be any different.

To sum up, its all a mess and if we carry on down this route, we're going to be playing basement league invaders for some time.

I would be a liar if I did'nt have concerns when he was first appointed at Fleetwood, I know some fans who did'nt renew their season tickets but overall Barton was accepted and he can look back as a positive experience in his first ever managerial appointment .

He does articulate very well in interviews, dont forget as a scouser he can talk the hind legs off a donkey !

I can remember a few reporters down the years thinking we actually played the noise into the Stadium via the PA system and didn't realise there were two air raid sirens in the Co-op Stand that were wound up.

I cant imagine it being much fun for your really old fans though

A way of keeping them awake/waking them up during very dull matches.

Conversely it could be problematic for people with heart conditions to be woken up in such a way, or people with PTSD from the war!

I said that about Burton/Wigan, and we lost both and are still not cut adrift. Nobody wants to really win get out of it here at the bottom, and while I think it is a big game, particularly for Brady, I honestly think even if we lose we'll get a few more chances either way.

Tough game against Posh tonight, a draw would be fine and dandy.

A tough test of our current good run at Salop tonight. If we escape with anything other than a narrow defeat I'll be both surprised and delighted.
