A favourable run in for us would be one where we play Aldershot every week. Unfortunately,we still have Halifax twice and go away to Eastleigh and Kiddy

You've also got us Saturday week, we're unbeaten this year.

I see your Halifax/Eastleigh&Kiddy and raise you Gateshead, Halifax, Macclesfield, Kidderminster and Dover all away

So you have banker home matches and only a few tricky aways. Dover aren't as good now, we still have kiddy and Halifax as well as you. As things stand you're still looking incredibly more likely to pick up more points than us from those matches anyway.

You're favourites, there's no two ways about it, and have been for some time to Barnet fans who are able to see things without their amber tinted specs on.

I did forget, you're in good form and it certainly won't be easy. I hope you can defend against high balls because that's all we'll be doing all game.

Oi, I'll have you know we've learnt to win football matches again now The Football Genius has gone. And we were worth a point in both games over Xmas so you can't be that good as we were utter shite in both games.

First team that came to my head, sorry mate. I think our performance in those two games were what enlightened me to the fact that we weren't as hot shit as people thought we were.

I agree. I would much rather Chester (5-0 & 3-0) or Southport (2-0 & 4-0) every week!

Really? That's a surprise, you looked a quality outfit at our place and completely out-footballed us twice last season.

Won't be a game for the purists then, given how we play.

I don't know what, how or why our form has dropped and we've stopped playing football, but something has happened. We look lost on the football pitch, which is actually quite ridiculous when, as you say, we had some fantastic performances earlier in the season.

Top 3 are away this weekend, we've got Braintree at home. As long as we do our bit then I wouldn't kick myself for thinking that we'll gain some ground on at least one team. I fear it's only a matter of time before we trip ourselves up again, if we lose ground just once more then we're out but until that happens, we're still in it.

Our game at Eastleigh on satdy has now become must win in my eyes. Not having a game for 2 weeks has really set us back and are firmly in the chasing pack/holding on to play off situation now. Points on the board is what its all about at this stage of the season.

Like i've said before how people are calling us a tough game is beyond me, haven't won in 5 at home (that includes 4 losses) only won 2 in 10 and only scored 6 in that time. Really you should be happy you've got us

Really? I honestly thought they were much better than us in the 1st half. We couldn't string a pass together while they were walking rings round us at times.

Also, who assisted Taylor for the penalty? That pass would grace the premier league, it was superb.

We certainly lacked creativity Gassy because a pairing of Lockyer and Mansell in central midfield are too similar and defensive, but we committed men forward to try and make something happen and they counter attacked into the space really well. Akinola looked threatening and he linked up well with their striker in the first half for sure, but I think it was as much to do with us leaving the space for their pacey players to run into than it was them being brilliant.

They are definitely one of the best teams we've had at The Mem this season but they are where they are in the league for a reason.

I actually think it's you with the amber tinted specs on - you are so consumed with pessimism that you refuse to see things for how they really are.

This season we've lost to;

Wrexham x2, Lincoln x2, Grimsby x2, Bristol Rovers, Torquay and Macclesfield.
All fairly recently relegated, former Football League sides, all full time and mainly in and around the play off picture.

We do not face another former FL side and have still to play 4 of the current bottom 6. At least five of our remaining 11 fixtures are against part time teams, possibly more if Halifax are part time(?). We have dispatched the part time teams imperiously, even recently when we haven't been playing at all well (Chester 3-0, Aldershot 3-1 and 1-0, Southport 4-0). And excluding Kiddy and Halifax, we have won the reverse fixtures against all 8 of the other sides we play.

We may well not win the title and I suspect most Barnet fans agree that since the Chester game pre-Christmas, we have not performed, but at the moment at the very least, it is still completely in our own hands.

Tipped Rovers at the start of the season, I can't see past them now.

Strictly speaking it was 25th and not 24th, but Holbeach United drew tonight at home to Boston Town in the UCL.

What this means is that the maximum number of points any team can now get has been reduced from their total of 104, to our maximum of 103.

We have 11 games to play. 100% = title and promotion. The biggest game is whatever is next. If the situation changes we can address it then, but for now, we know what we have to do.
