Impatience strikes again

Alfreton v Dartford
Having missed out on three point late on in their last game, this is Alfretons big chance to almost guarantee safety and make sure Dartford are dead and buried. They should feel confident having won the reverse fixture only 10 days ago.

Braintree v Telford
This is largely an irrelevance except that a Braintree win will in all probability make Telford the first team to be officially relegated after the weekend games. This is why it's on TV

Dover v Grimsby
First of the two big games. Dover second in the home form tables against in form Grimsby. 3 points are vital for both in their outside shot of play-off\ title respectively. Expecting Palmer power to win through in what is probably Grimsbys hardest remaining game.

Halifax v Gateshead
Two sides whose playoff hopes have fallen away, the winner gets themselves back in the hunt while the loser waves goodbye. Expecting cultured Gateshead to really struggle with a pitch specially manicured to suit Halifax.

Nuneaton v Wrexham
FIVE clean sheets in a row for Nuneaton means they have the meanest defence in the league in recent weeks. They are up against a team that is dreaming of Wembley and I suspect would rather be somewhere else.

Woking v Torquay
Team Woking are back in the groove having dispatched FGR and will expect to beat a team on apprentice wages to get themselves right in the mix for the play offs

The form we are in we should be winning especially after beating Eastleigh. We have to win if we want a chance at the title, the table could make interesting reading after tomorrow with only 6 games left were one slip up from the top 3 could cost them. Best make sure we don't slip up in this one.

'A pitch specially manicured to suit Halifax' ? No one has been grumbling more about the playing surface than the Shaymen themselves, which is understandable as they are the ones who have to play on that pitch everyday.

A win for Grimsby tomorrow evening will probably mean a three way fight between them, Barnet and Bristol Rovers for the automatic promotion place. A place in the play-offs must surely await, unless they suffer a cataclysmic loss of form, for the two who miss out. That effectively leaves six teams fighting out between themselves for the remaining two play-off places. Bizarre that the results went so badly for the chasers on Saturday, leaving it largely as you were. Can anyone remember as exciting an end to a Conference season, with so much still to play for, hope your nerves can stand it.

I'm sure they are grumbling about it but they are now used to it and have adapted to the conditions, something I'm not convinced Gateshead will relish.

This will be our 7th game so far in March and judging by the reports of our performance against Dover we are starting to look a bit lethargic. Heard today that Bartlett is out injured and together with the loss of a number of others, notably Clark, Turnbull, Campbell and Oster to injuries, and Gooch to USA U20 duties I don't think we will have enough to beat Halifax irrespective of the playing surface.

Have you not heard how Gateshead have been playing recently? Apparently they're even more route 1 than we are!

We went route one for a short spell back in early season, but we've played some lovely stuff lately. Unfortunatley it's not won us many points. Let's get back to route one and stick with it. :bravo:

Admission to Braintree v Telford tonight is completely free.
Perhaps they were a bit worried everyone would stay at home and the stadium would be empty on the TV?

It'll be empty anyway. Guarantee there won't be more than 500 there.

Massive massive game tonight, shame it's one of the furthest trips of the season for the fans or the following could've been huge.

We need 3 points, draw would see us dangling on by a piece of thread. Something we can ill afford.

I heard a rumour (think it was on here) that BT Sport purposely chose Welling v Alty and Braintree v Telford to justify getting rid of their conference coverage next year.

Sounds like the only plausible explaination.

Exactly. With the acquistion of the Champions League looks like the Conference is going to be sacrificed

I'm not sure.

It got better viewing figures than Serie A last year and Ligue 1, from memory, and would think it's fair bit cheaper than those two!

I would have thought by now you would know that the UCL is the place to be. Tonight that place is specifically Kempston. The match is AFC Kempston Rovers vs AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

A very difficult game against a Kempston side who have only lost 2 league home games all season, one of those to Wisbech, and the opening match of the season where they played Boston Town.

Title rivals Wisbech don't play tonight, so it's a chance to put a little extra daylight between us, if only temporarily. Their next game is actually at home to Kempston on Saturday. Promotion rivals Holbeach similarly out of action, as well as title outsiders Thurnby. Putting a further gap between us and all three would be great. With 7 games left the 100 point mark is only just available to us, so long as we don't drop points again this season. That would be a remarkable feat in a 21 team league!

Lump on Nuneaton tonight, they are in decent form and we will be resting the entire first XI for Wembley I imagine.

One change for us with LJL coming in for Pittman.

Probably the right decision as Pittman was largely anonymous on Saturday and LJL and Palmer did well together before Palmers injury.

Interesting that you can forget one bad result if we win 3 or 4 before hand but if one player has a below average game its right to drop them.

Interesting how people can forget a run of 7-8 poor games by one player and feel they should always be in the team. Yet when another player has a below par game, it's right that they are dropped...

That said, makes no odds to me which one of them starts. Though one is more likely to get you a goal than the other.

I also said LJL and Palmer was a good partnership before so its not like I was just saying it was right because of one poor game from Pittman but a combination of things

Big difference between thinking a player doesn't deserve to be dropped and saying a player doesn't deserve to start. Nothing wrong with LJL but Pittman didn't deserve to be dropped, I stand by that.
