Embarrassing on and off the pitch. Imagine actually trying to kick off at Maidenhead. They all go missing when a big club comes to town though. All 'banned' AFC Wimbledon fans if I rightly remember someone saying on our forum. A fine probably coming our way from the FA due to the use of smoke bombs. Really helpful when we already have no money.

Do you take police spotters to away matches? If they've caused trouble before, surely they've been banned from your matches? One of your supporters told me about a couple - one of ours and one Orient - who had been banned from their own clubs and started turning up at yours.

There's nothing better than a stoppage time winner in the Cup :woot:

That's three seasons in a row now that we've made the 1st round proper, which is a record for us. We've had some interesting draws recently so are due a dull one.

Today pretty much summed our season up.
Well I am straining to think of a more shambolic start to a game then the one we made today. The home side would have been forgiven for thinking we were Sporting Khalsa in disguise!!! (No disrespect intended)

But after 15 we awoke and then caused Macc some real problems.
Incredibly having been 3-0 down on another day had Ryan Wilson shown a bit of composure we could have snatched an unlikely replay. But we cant keep defending like schoolboys for periods of games and expect to get anything from the game.
Really enjoyed my trip to Moss Rose though. Great stadium.
Good luck to Macc in the next round!

I would disagree that you were woeful. It was just a case of you taking advantage of the only real defensive mishap of the game. Lots of positives from a Sutton POV (result aside), but we were wasteful, paticularly in the first half. Little annoyed at the end, but then we were always coming in as underdogs.

You were solid and we struggled to break you down, our only attacking threat was Rhys Browne and we got very lucky with the goal - cruel deflection. A draw would have been fair but for us the important thing was that we won, not how we won.

Not too disappointed with a replay as Lincoln will have to attack and play right into our hands, a slight concern that a third team in a row have come to spoil our football and succeeded, can't you all just try and play and watch us stuff you 5-0? Thanks.
Like you did at our place, you mean?

How about Salford versus FCUM, that would provide even more interest for the media.
Oh god, could you even imagine how unbearable that would be?!
Personally, wanting Blackpool at home as one of my best mates here is a Blackpool supporter so it would be nice to watch a televised Town match with someone. I think that would stand a fairly good chance of being shown too. Failing that, I don't really have a preference on who we play. A home draw would be nice. I fancy us to beat most in the draw at Blundell Park and be capable of giving anyone a run for their money.

.... the important thing was that we won, not how we won.

No, it really wasn't. The important thing was we entertained our fans with a view to getting a few more back through the gate. Many more 'performances' like that will see us a long way from the breakeven figure of 1800. If we get an unattractive draw Monday, say home to Fylde or some such, there will be less than a 1000 there.

We can't rely on getting another Pompey to prop the numbers up, the bare facts are we are dire at home and that needs to change or we could find ourselves in serious trouble.

Good luck in the 1st round, get as distracted from the league as possible :2thumb:

Well some Barrow fans I spoke to yesterday were saying that they feel that happened last year and that's why they won the league.

Personally I don't see that happening thus year the main focus is the league and a good cup run would just be nice to see again.

To be fair, Lincoln are only 1 point behind us in the league and are in decent form, so it was always going to be tight. At least we didn't blow a 3-1 lead against a side from a lower division, as that's the kind of replay you can do without.

I get what you're saying, but yesterday was a lot tougher than it maybe looked on paper - i've seen worse sides in the Conference this season than Sutton. The problem we had yesterday is that Brodie didn't look his usual self and the service to Charlie Walker was almost non-existant. I know we werent as good as we could be but I think Sutton deserve some credit because defensively they were solid.

I accept that yesterday wasnt that exciting other than the last 20 minutes but the amount of times under Scott and Holdsworth I came away thinking we deserved something but lost 1-0 its quite nice to have a manager that has the team able to grind out results when we arent playing well.

I don't know, a stoppage time equaliser to put you in the first round draw for the first time ever is pretty damn good!...

I'd take anybody so long as we get to play them!

I don't know, somehow I doubt it. I would think and hope that someone got pictures of them yesterday.

I didn't go yesterday thankfully, but basically my football club is a complete and utter shambles. We're at the lowest of the low at the moment, and it really is depressing.

Don't knock it, think of the good you do- your the only comfort we have. We keep repeating, "at least were not as shit as Kidderminster". Yet.

No matter the perceived strength of the opposition, we should still be attempting to entertain and play decent football. Barry Smith has proclaimed he wants to play fast football on the deck, but I've seen precious little of it so far at home. We are better away as we seem to be better suited to a counter attacking style, and are therefore far better value for money.

Yesterday, I was desperately bored with the whole thing, it's just so slow and turgid. One thing I can guarantee, if I had to pay to get into home games, I would be giving it a miss until it improves, because I have better things I could spend the thick end of £20 on. I know an awful lot of supporters who think the same way too. I fear if it doesn't improve soon, we will see a real slump in gates, especially in the lead up to Xmas where money is needed elsewhere and we have some less than attractive fixtures.

Good to see some familiar faces to have made it through to the first round.

Some tricky away trips in the conference await some sides no doubt.

Sorry in advance if any of you get us at our place!

Yes, I wish we had a good cup run this year. The Fa Cup is great fun, I was gutted when we were knocked out by a player who (arguably) should still be in prison. We've still never made the 1st round.
Did you go to Plymouth last year?

Just back from Northwich v Chorley, pissing 0-0 wasn't it.

Chorley looked shite considering they are two divisions higher and have money behind them. Has Flitcroft surfaced anywhere yet because Jansen doesn't look half the manager IMO.

Was the replay tonight and the Vics have won it 2-1 which I can't say I'm surprised at.
