I think it’s time to move onto the 26th September games now, 3pm Saturday can’t come quick enough at the minute! Bring on Harrogate

Second win for Morecombe this upcoming Saturday, might be enough to make their goal difference positive again.

Cambridge away. Cambridge who are top of the league away. Cambridge who are top of the league and just won 5-0 away. Cambridge who are top of the league and just won 5-0 with ex Tranmere striker Paul Mullin bagging a hattrick away. Cambridge who are top of the league and just won 5-0 with ex Tranmere striker Paul Mullin bagging a hattrick whilst we couldn’t hit a barn door away.

Can’t wait.

Tranmere win on Saturday then.

We're at home to Grimsby. Hoping more pilot games are given the green light this week, having gone to watch an FA Vase game on Saturday (my cousin was playing) I now have the bug again.

Salford away, where we won 4-0 last season...they are a better team this season and fancied by many to be challenging for promotion...however, having seen us play on Saturday, I think we are better too. We look stronger in defence and the midfield has a bit more steel to it, all we need is for Matt to start banging the goals in and the future looks at least promising.

We have already played two difficult games and registered four points, if we could get another away at Salford on Saturday I think our fans may have reason to believe this season will be better than the last.

Can see Port Vale getting a hammering on Saturday.

At home to Carlisle. Last year has given me some terrible memories as that defeat was one of the worst I've ever experienced. Carlisle didn't enter our half until the 2nd half and scored with about their only shot of the game. I am still perplexed how we possibly managed to lose.

The goalscorer for them that day now plays for us. He looked good against Vale & Newport but then shocking against Crawley.

We really need to get our injured players back and sort out our formation if we want any chance of winning.

Crawley away at Oldham. Playing them before the really mean weather gets here is a plus. Having to play when we are bloody awful is a minus.

We have 3 right backs at the club but played a midfielder there on Saturday. Trust issues maybe? Our midfield looks static and we can't keep the ball in the final third. I'm not confident.

Going to Harry's home. How is the humble one doing? From my recollection of the way Kewell likes to play (shudder), and from watching us on iFollow this season, this could be that crappiest match any of us are ever likely to see!

Mansfield away. Another toughie for us and we need to improve quickly after Saturday’s disappointing loss.

I suspect we’ll see a few changes to the starting XI which will make us stronger. Randell Williams and Nicky Law will both start which makes us a bigger threat. I also think Tom Parkes will start at CB instead of youngster, Will Dean.

Up front, we don’t look to sharp. Bowman never gets dropped but I really think we should bench him and give Ajose a start. Taylor won’t play Ajose (he probably won’t be on the bench either) so instead I’d give Ben Seymour a start as we need to give him a run of games to see if he’s up to L2.

Mansfield should be up there so I’d be content with a point, but we need to get off the mark soon otherwise the natives may start to become restless.

Harrogate on saturday, I would like to hear some opinions of Harrogate supporters, or even Southend/Walsall on how they look. Beating Southend seemed impressive on the opening week but after seeing Carlisle put them away too, is it that Southend are just the Stevenage of last season? Nevertheless it is hard not to be confident for this one, they have an FA trophy final on Tuesday night against Notts County so hopefully they have a few tired legs Saturday and we can continue to push on but I will not be taking them for granted as I feel they will come to vale park with a lot more intent than Crawley did. I feel this one may be 1-1 for large parts of the game but then McKirdy will come on to snatch a 2-1 win for the Vale.

Our horrid run of fixtures continues away at Cheltenham. We’ve been absolutely shite so far and I don’t expect that to turn around on Saturday, we’re in for a long old season if the first two games are anything to go by.

If Platt's back, we'll beat Colchester - if not, we won't.

Southend will be the whipping boys of this division unless something changes between now and the end of the window.

I'm not sure they actually have any. Their forum is dead.

Sure they used to have a few on here? Will be one we should be looking to win but won’t be easy by any stretch and will have to be at our best.

2-1 in a hard fought encounter with Cullen and Woz hitting the net.

I think we've been a bit flattered by on-paper strong opposition not being up to speed, shots to goals ration Saturday was grim and we only just squeaked a point against nine men in the end. Not saying we won't push on but have a way to go still IMO and Salford seem to be a bit ahead of us with a more expensive side. Pleased if we get anything, though have loyally predicted a win on our forum.

Just noticed actually non league finals day is on Sunday so if Harrogate beat Notts tomorrow does that mean our game is off?

Bang on. Bolton and Bradford looked pretty poor tbh. Shows how you can never tell what an easy/tough start is at this level until the season starts. Would probably have got less points if we'd started with Cambridge and Harrogate, which on paper would have looked an easier start.

Would that be the first time a football league club has played in an FA Trophy game?

Not sure. I'm going for a 2-1 to either us or Mansfield on Saturday.

What I'm confident about though is another Bolton defeat.
See the village idiots agree with you..There again port vale is not even a village

Must be! And odd one as in theory they now have an EFL squad so harsh on the non leaguers left in.

Maybe...but I can remember plenty of times last season where we barely managed five shots in a game, certainly nothing near five times that amount...even if most of our shots on Saturday ended up in the trees or the car park, at least it indicated a willingness to shoot. I saw lots of positives on Saturday, thought we moved the ball about well but with a bit more drive than last season, although the number of crosses that sailed over the penalty area had me pulling my hair out at times and hoping for a bit more variety in our tactics.

In the last 15 years we've had two promotions. How many have you had?
Returning to the football league from the pie and peas league is not accepted as a promotion

Kane Wilson out with 'significant ligament damage' apparently, seeing a specialist on Thursday. Not good, could be out for a long time.

Why didn't you answer my question? You're saying we flat lined. We've had 2 promotions in 15 years. How many have you had? I'll agree you haven't flat lined as you've nose died.

Why do you continue to prove time and time again you have no idea what you're talking about? P.s has Eoin Doyle won Golden Boot for 20/21 yet?

We should have beat them in the end took us a half to adjust to what they are and thats big and strong dont see them doing that well once the surprise factor wears off.

I hope this isn't a repeat of George Williams, who broke his leg just a couple of minutes into last season and was never really seen again.

We're seriously worrying about Harrogate fucking Town? What has happened to us established FL sides? Tinpot bankrolled club. They're not the first and won't be the last. Routine win with a couple of moderately difficult moments.

Perfectly aware we may lose now. Let's go.
