Bolton: Played 2. Games won: 0. Games drawn: 0. Games lost: 2. Goals for: 0. Goals against: 3. Points: 0.

Definitely on promotion form, playoffs at the bare minimum.
Play offs at the bare minimum? Bolton are being promoted in the first week of November. Masi said so.

Scunthorpe had a positive result the day before our league cup game but it still went ahead.

Must be a Grimsby first team player?

Does anyone know what the FL standard test actually is, btw? PCR RNA for active infection or a blood antibody test?

I believe it’s Jock Curran, who trains with the first team but is out on loan which is even more annoying.

You’d imagine next Saturday against Bradford is now also in doubt.

Farcical.

It's frustrating, but it's sensible, not farcical.

We're in the same boat with games being postponed and having to forfeit our lucrative cup tie vs Spurs, but ultimately some things are more important than football.

With an already heavily congested October I think teams who can avoid too many postponements (and with a deep squad) could be on for a decent season.

Not sure who the Scunthorpe Player was but wasn't one of the players who were meant to start was left out as he had been in close contact with the player?

Assume the Orient situation has changed the process maybe though?

Going to be a regular issue I think.

It was one of our youth team players but John McAtee had been in close contact so was left out for a couple of weeks.

Stevenage have had a positive Covid test and haven’t yet travelled for tomorrow’s game, they’ve tested the rest of their squad and should know by the morning.

How can they do it and we can’t?

Bradford next week also confirmed as off and we can’t train for 2 weeks. Nightmare

I did wonder how far we would get into the season before we started seeing positive tests and postponement of games...I think we now know the answer.

This could get farcical very quickly, unfortunately!

Don't you? Allow me to edukate you then.

Farcical adjective. Very silly, unlikely, or unreasonable, often in a way that his humorous.

You're welcome.
You crack on and edukate me then. So you now admit it's not relevant to what any of you were referring to? Unless you're genuinely suggesting it's farcical to postpone a game because someone has caught Covid who's in and around the team.

Na, you need to look up the word moron.

I never used the word bud.

It does apply here though.

You implied I didn't know what it meant, supporting the idea they used it correctly.

Anyone suggesting it's farcical games are postponed because a global pandemic is currently occurring is a moron.

That includes you for implying such nonsense.

By the way - The fact you had to copy and paste the Cambridge definition would suggest you didn't know what it meant. You had to look it up and couldn't just say it.

Evidently, cancelling games because people have caught Covid isn't farcical. It's the polar opposite.

And? Being sick isn’t a COVID-19 symptom.

The problem is that we’re sending hundreds of people all over the country - including to places under local lockdown like Oldham where we played our first League game - during a pandemic, and we’re not testing. Who knows how many other clubs have infected players or staff? The responsibility for this lies with the EFL. Testing should be mandatory and they should be paying for it. Simple as that. Anything else (including apportioning blame to clubs who are doing no more or less than following the guidelines they’ve been given) is just irrelevant noise.

Fully agree with what you're saying. I never said Orient should get a points deduction/ or to give Mansfield a 3-0 win or anything of the sort. Having said that, my personal opinion is that the O's coaching staff must've have an inkling that it could possibly be covid related before the Stags game but they were focused on the money from the Spurs game, and that is understandable because all the lower league clubs need every penny they can get their hands on these days. Well, all bar Mansfield and the Radfords of course ;)

Difficult then because without training for 2 weeks it puts your fitness and teamwork behind! It’s a mess to try and work this it seems.

More or less the same thing with us - Some of our squad can return on Tuesday though to the training ground, but the exact number is unknown.

No idea if our game with Cheltenham next week is on or off, or our EFL trophy game a few days after that with Wimbledon.

Different guidlines are in place for different players, some need to isolate for longer than others according to our manager last night.

I am assuming the games get replayed rather than like the cup where the team forfeit the game? Would be a joke if teams lose points over it!

Notice the EFL are investigating the Grimsby situation... what’s there to investigate?

Very confused why the West Ham game was allowed to go ahead on Tuesday with Moyes and two players testing positive but the Grimsby game won't. Anyone know why?

God knows, we do have a habit of making things difficult for ourselves so it wouldn’t surprise me if we’re in the wrong somehow.

Don’t forget we lost our best player for free this summer through ‘following EFL advice’

Perfect word for it.

Until our ‘COVID clause’ kicks in, in a few weeks time and we win the league through virtue of being the last man standing.

Could it just be because the PL players are all getting tested? If you're in contact, you're told to self-isolate until you return a negative test, so if the rest of the West Ham players had already tested negative at that time they can carry on and just isolate the three positives, whereas Grimsby have only tested the one player who is positive and so the rest are also now in isolation?

Pretty much that in a nutshell, our owner said that the tests the PL pay for are more in depth than the ones the EFL do.

EFL tests just states a yes or no as to whether or not you have the virus. The PL ones can state a % or something like that as to how infected you are - Which is probably why we've ended up with 17 players being quarantined.

Also PL players are tested twice a week and and a day before each game I believe.

Terminator you say 17 out of your squad tested positive, and we know several other clubs including us have players who have tested postive. You then also add information about both the quantitative and qualitative nature of PL tests.

The only conclusions I can draw from this are A) games in the EFL may not last for much longer b) soon only the PL will be playing any games.

Very very depressing.

I think it has been suggested that the Orient players caught the virus at a hotel in Oldham .
