He was a winger in his first spell here and started there under Adams last year but was moved to CM when people realised you can't get away with 1G/A per season as a forward.
Barely noticed him today, I thought Tyreke Samuel Wright was your best outfield player by a country mile.

Stockport County.
We just overpowered Crewe second half. We were flat first half and didn't even play that well 2nd but we just raised it a notch and it was enough.

Shocking ref at our game today !! Typical lower league standard. It was never a sending off and the Newport player blatantly dived for the pen. We weren't great but all Newport had to offer was a long throw.
It was a shocking decision, the Newport player just threw himself over, but then again,so did most of your players at Pools

Moaning about other teams diving when you have Harry Pell playing for you is quite simply laughable.

Fucking gerrin Pools, spent most of the day pissed as a fart over the Headland and eventually found a pub that had it on, walked in to see Cooke smash that free kick in, beautiful stuff!

Back to back wins and two home games to come, starting to get giddy.

Things to expect from our game if you watch it:

-We will start slowly and probably concede one big chance.
-Paul Smyth will probably be kicked at some point and brought down multiple times.
-We will slowly keep the ball passing it around and being patient with it
-Aaron Drinan/Charlie Kelman will miss an easy chance
-Theo Archibald will wind the opposition up and get booked at some point for arguing

Who the fuck do you think you are like. You support Grimsby FFS.
Apologies, I’d had a really knackering day yesterday and then the frustration of losing another game from a winning position just got me mega pissed off at the time.
I’ve read it back and realised it comes across as me being a bit arrogant (which I’m really not), I actually posted with 10 mins left that I thought we would lose it but unfortunately it doesn’t stop it being really frustrating when it does actually happen.

I share your weariness at being in this fucking division though. Not that I think it's beneath us or that I would prefer to have exited via the trapdoor but this is our 9th season down here. Only Mansfield and Newport have been here longer and we haven't been promoted from any division since 2006. Only Ipswich in the EFL have gone longer*

*Oldham put us both to shame but well, they aren't included in the statistics any more.

Yeah it’s a very frustrating league at times even though at the start of this season I would’ve taken a mid table nothing season rather than our usual previous relegation battles.
My arsiness yesterday though was because of not getting to sleep until 6:30am and then only getting 3 hours kip (new puppy keeping us awake) as I was up at 9:30 to help the Missus with her Boxing Day buffet so I was shattered all day and then chucking that one away just triggered me!
Usually I don’t let our bad results affect me anymore as I’ve had a lifetime of it but bad result + sleep deprivation = angry fish!

Caught up on sleep now though so back to being myself today. :)

I’m already really fucking sick of League 2, getting beat by shite all the time just like still being in the National League.

I think I know how you feel. That feeling is down to so many tiny non league clubs coming up with tiny stadiums and miniscule fan bases. Like Harrogate for example. They have every right to be here but when you lose to them you do feel like you’re in non league not League Two.

If people get their wish of 3 up 3 down there will end up even more of these small teams worming their way into the league then before you know it you’ll be visiting away ends that are 2 steps high every other week. That’s partly why I’m in favour of going back to 1 up 1 down between NL and L2.

Thought we were the better side slightly at Mansfield, would have felt really unlucky to come away with a 1-0 loss despite our terrible record there. I agree with the post about our away support it was a terrible number from our perspective but it is what it is.

Think we are much better suited to playing away from home, we are able to press high with our energetic midfield and forward line. Thought Appere should have done better when put through, think Hawkins got back and made the tackle. That is my frustration with him, runs all day but he has zero strikers instinct, i guess its why hes playing at L2.

Thought Mansfield looked worse than last season. Oates was really isolated and didnt feel like there was ever a real sustained period of pressure on our goal. Feel like he needed support and going 2 up top would have been the way forward. Was curious to see how Hiram Boateng played as we had him on loan few years ago but was pretty anonymous. Thought we had enough chances to take the lead before we fell behind but a draw was fair enough in the end. Still think Mansfield will be up there at the end of the season around the playoffs.

14 League goals for Sam Hoskins now, for a winger that is a sensational return and thought his finish yesterday was quality, a revelation of a season from being a real marmite player in previous years.

Routine win over Crewe yesterday, only negative is another failure to finish clinically as it could have ended up a cricket score. We showed we could do it at Hartlepool but instead reverted to the wrong or speculative efforts. If County can sign a clinical striker - and I believe someone is coming in on New Year's, don't know who - we'll be laughing.

Crewe were poor, not quite as bad as the likes of Wimbledon and Colchester as they did have something about them when it comes to shifting the ball forwards. But that's where their main problem shows up, as they're about as threatening as a comatose kitten.

Solid performances all round otherwise, Will Collar is a star and should be playing Championship football in a few years.

Back to yesterday's game, I actually think HG is being too positive about us in calling it a good performance so how's about that. I'm more positive than he is about our chances of going up this season.

I haven't seen every game, I believe we were pretty dreadful down at Stockport, but of the ones I have seen that's the worst I've seen us play this season. We've had some good performances this season through conceding possession and keeping our shape but didn't really manage the game that well yesterday. Even though Bradford only managed one shot on target that seemed like less a case of us keeping them at arm's length and more their final ball being poor. We seemed to be unable to stop them from coming forward when we blocked them off we just pushed them back into midfield and then regrouped for their next attack. We were probably a bit lucky they were so out of sorts themselves.

I'm more positive about our chances of going up though because I'm not really sure who of the teams below us we should be afraid of. It's going to be a close one looking at how many teams are within 6 points but I'm not seeing four teams capable of leaving us in their wake, Maybe Stockport and Walsall if they continue current form. I'd say we're in the mix now.

That just looked like the stereotypical Stevenage game. Can’t wait to be seeing that again next season..

Suppose if you’re Orient it’s not a bad point all things considered. Should be a stroll from here for for them.

We have been much better since the Stockport debacle. Miles better. Get a result on Thursday and I'll really start believing.

They were dire when we played them. Looked In a massively false position to me. Straight back down if they go up.

Imagine having to watch Stevenage more than twice a season *shudders*.
Dull game today, a point suits both sides, thought their number 2 should've been booked about 5 times and Rose is a grim little rat of a man.
But we didn't do anything particularly exciting to win it, draw about right, can see us dropping a few points over a tough January before finishing at a canter to go up.

Got the point we came for. We did an effective job limiting Orient and they coped with what we had to offer. Think we merited the point, and it's a good point too. Not too concerned with catching Orient at this stage, all about the points buffer over 4th from my perspective.

Game ended up as I expected, thought we was marginally the better side but a draw was the right result - both sides limited each other throughout, different playing styles but both sides very organised.

With 3 games in 6 days and with a game like this (1st v 2nd), both sides usually play it safe and take the draw.

Mr Brakespear lost a bit of control at one point with Rose and Pratley both seeing who could out shit house the other.

As you said, its all about staying in the top 3, whoever ends up 1st just gets a nice bonus.

Suppose they’ll be the straight swap for Derek-ball which we had the joys of yesterday. For what it’s worth to compete it won’t take a huge amount from any of the promoted sides. Certainly Orient if they keep hold of Smyth will be fine.

That jinking 60 yard run and long range shot by Orient's Paul Smyth in the first half was magnificent and deserved to be a goal. He is magnificent to watch at times and also tirelessly defends well around the box. Hell of a player.

We are so poor, just can’t see where the next goal is coming from never mind a point. County looked comfortable all afternoon but the goals looked to be soft from our perspective.

Seemed a strange atmosphere too with the fans, Boxing Day, local game for the first time in 10 years just didn’t seem what I’d expect (been plenty of times since the early 80’s). Not sure what happened at the end with the Steward and a younger fa.

When I said we deserved to win, it was more for the effort and spirit we showed. We ground it out against a decent side. They definitely could have equalised with their chances but I thought on balance we deserved the win. First half we played well.

Useful point for both of us today. Stevenage were incredibly organised and we weren’t overly interested in going for the win. Might have been different if Wildin had been sent off in the first half like he should have been, but very little work for either keeper to do. That’s 9 of the rest of the top 16 who have visited Brisbane Road and the aggregate score is 12-0 to Orient.

The ref was dreadful and the match wasn't all that against Newport. Wonderful goal by Ethan Chislett though.

And the red card has now been rescinded. I don't tend to moan about refs on the basis that bad decisions are swings and roundabouts over the season but Paul Howard is the worst I've seen for a long, long time. If you see his name down to do a game, be very afraid.
