You miserable sods this is the last time this season

Macclesfield v Bristol Rovers
Supposedly Bristol Rovers hardest game although Macclesfields form has deserted them and you get the impression their fans are hoping just to better the 4-0 defeat they suffered in the last meeting of the sides. Rovers will be missing a few due to suspension and international duty but really most can only see one winner.

Alfreton v Barnet
Alfreton failed to break away from the relegation chasers on Tuesday so will hope to get something to keep their decent run going and keep the resurgent Nuneaton at arms length. Barnet squeezed past Alfreton at home with a 90th minute winner last time so this is far from a foregone conclusion

Chester v Woking
Chester appear to have eased off a bit in recent games but you would still expect them to provide a challenge for the form side of the division. Probably not enough of a challenge to keep Woking from targeting the Play-offs

Dartford v Altrincham
If Dartford want a chance of escape then this is must win, Alty don't seem to really care much.

Dover v Telford
Dovers narrow defeat has probably finished their play-off dream, while Telford showed the cameras they arent totally dreadful. EXpect Dartford to be too strong.

Gateshead v Eastleigh
I'm going with this one as the days biggest game, both sides desperate for points. Gateshead out of the running if they lose.

Kidderminster v Braintree
Not much riding on this for two sides just seeing the season out.

Lincoln City v Forest Green
The free coaches will descend on Lincoln in the belief they can walk off with the points. Lincoln currently only play well against Dover so I can't see this going any other way than for FGR

Nuneaton v Halifax
Clean sheet specialists versus the draw specialists. Anyone want to make a guess on the likely result? I think this maybe the game where both sides break their runs with Nuneaton being without their keeper and playing a side that want to win.

Southport v Torquay
You would expect Southport to win this and secure their position in the league with this game. Torquay will be glad when it's all over.

Welling v Grimsby
Welling were absolutely appalling against Barnet so this should be an easy one for Grimsby. The only factors going against this are Wellings narrow pitch and the predicted wind which might make it more difficult to break down a team that will play with eleven behind the ball.

How will Dartford benefit from the result of the Dover vs Telford match? By not finishing bottom because Telford were beaten in this match?

Woking aren't the form side in the division we are ;)

Hopefully Mackreth is back which I imagine will replace Jolley if he is. Then the question is will Jolley and Chapell both be on the bench and if so is Hannah dropped completely or Bignot?

Like all our remaining games this is a must win and there really is no excuse if we don't win.

The Woking manager told me you weren't ;).

Another Saturday off for us because of the bastard Trophy, so I'm off to Basingstoke v Wealdstone whilst hoping for wins for Barnet, Grimsby and Torquay.

Bristol Rovers fans may wish to consider that the A536 Congleton Road is to be closed from Penningtons Lane to Ivy Lane all day tomorrow. This is part of the most obvious route to our ground when coming from Bristol, so leave in plenty of time and plan your route. It would be terrible if you didn't make it and we had more fans than you in the ground.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds
Every week someone makes a post, and every week they miss off the MASSIVE game. This week it is a tough fixture for AFC Rushden & Diamonds vs Deeping Rangers. Deeping are 9th in an unusually poor table position for themselves. They are a difficult side and will certainly give us a few problems in our 3rd game in a week which could be considered to be our "most difficult remaining league fixture" (a title which will probably pass to the final game after this, and is only specific due to a UCL cup QF against Wisbech on Tuesday).

Diamonds only won the away game thanks to a brace from Liam Dolman, a CB whose club song is the old fast food rap thing due to his size ("Liam Dolman, Liam Dolman, Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut"). At home I would hope we would fare better, but never expect anything.

A win would take Diamonds to 86 points, higher than 5th placed Yaxley could achieve. Should 4th placed Holbeach also lose (home to Oadby) their maximum would be 88. A second loss on Tuesday for Holbeach, who play that fixture away at Deeping, and Diamonds would secure promotion while playing in the KO Cup. A specific set of results, but a plausible one on current form.

I finish work at 6am, and my train to Alfreton is at 1115am.

I fully expect us now to not win.

Obviously his parents are as stupid as him then putting an extra R in his name.…...... :ds: :fing:

Could be short for Garrad, or Garrett, or even Garrison.

Come on Macclesfield - a draw would be extremely kind so you know what to do.

Best regards.

How many free coaches are FGR bringing then?

Probably 2, maybe 3. There will be a number travelling separately as well, so expect a reasonable turnout by our standards.

We've got a few injuries, mainly in midfield, and our forms dropped off quite markedly over the last couple of games, so the tomorrow will be all about digging in and trying to somehow grind it out. Parkin's gone all of 2 games without scoring, so hopefully his mini drought will end quickly as we rely heavily on him. The positive is that Lincoln appear to be well off form at home, so we've got half a chance.

Today won't be easy, for sure. Macc will come out of the blocks fighting after last Saturday - realistically a poor result today and they're out of the title race. They'll know that I'm sure!

Having said that, if we can survive the first 15/20 minutes I fancy us to get a result - it's that initial reaction to last week that I'm worried about re: Macc.
