Away at Mansfield, in the fixture at home they outplayed us however the best player on the pitch that day is now a Gillingham player. Both sides have new players. Ours have had a good three weeks to bed into the squad so I’m hoping to see a much improved performance.
Not sure how we will lineup but I think it might be like this:
GK: Mitchell
RWB: Brown
RCH: Williams
Ch: Anderson
LCH: Olowu
LWB: Mitchell
CM: Close
CM: Biggins
RCF: Lavery
CF: G.Miller
LCF: T.Miller
Subs: Jones, Nelson, Rowe, Lakin, Molyneux, Hirst, Agard.
The bench is much stronger than it has been all season
We’ve sold out our allocation so it should be a great atmosphere

You beat Boz by 2 minutes, think you take the crown.

Worried like fuck about today, still no forwards through the door against a team who've reinforced throughout, feel like a defeat and the place will be in meltdown.

The caravans are heading west from Kent to Wiltshire. We’re a bit short of bodies after departures and impending departures.

Almost guarantee we’ll be all guns glazing from the start. Plenty of holes in defence, creating plenty of chances up top. Be a good game.

Going to be an interesting game against a resurgent(?) Gillingham. It feels, albeit after only 1 game, as if we have turned a corner and a top 3 spot is on. Confidently expect two or three signings before Tuesday so just need to get through this one first. Given their league position 3 points is a given today but Gills are likely to come over with some confidence so am expecting a 2-1 victory. Also 900 (?) Gills fans on their way which is good for them considering they never travel to Swindon

This fixture also allows for Jody Morris watch in the Directors box. If he's there then the announcement should come either tomorrow or Monday. If he's not then fuck knows!

Think we have won like 2 in ten, so shocking form with a poor injury list too. Never confident

Been confirmed now

Not officially. I wouldn't hang your hat on an article by Ryan Whelan, this is STFC so things can still go wrong. Until its announced on our website I'll remain sceptical.

It sounds done so we will probably know more by 2.30 ish today.

Sorry realised this isn't the managerial thread just now!!

We're in the middle of a massive wobble, only one goal in six games and that was a worldie, which is concerning.
We were dreadful at Stevenage and El Mis is suspended which is not good as he's a key cog in our machine.
That said, having Beckles and James back is big, and Sadlier on loan should come straight into the side.
Good time to play us from Tranmeres perspective, I'd probably take a draw if it was offered today, thankfully our fixture list gets a little easier as the year goes on and we've played Stevenage and Northampton home and away.
We've got so many points on the board I'm sure lots of other fans will think this is all hyperbole and we're as good as up, but it's Orient, something always goes wrong...

It'll go off big time if we lose. I can see an early goal and The Vic will turn fast, remember how toxic some of the NL home defeats to Guiseley, Maidstone, Dover etc, this might be worse. Deservedly so IMO, not nice for the players but the owner has had an easy ride.

Prediction? Home defeat, like you very bad vibes about it.

Dover was bad because of the racist fuckwit in the stand, but Ebbsfleet at home for toxicity was off the charts, it was teetering on the verge of riot.

That was awful, at the Ebbsfleet I was right near the incident when their lad blatantly lied about racial abuse. Dover one happened, granted. We've had dome ropey days down the years.

Personally in terms of self-toxicness if thats a word, the Guiseley one when Louis Lang fell over a hoof up the park on the bounce and Dale Southwell slotted in on the stroke of 90 to complete one of the most embarrassing results in our history. I was absolutely livid, was angry for days and days after it.

Spot on , I was just about in line where he was pointing.
There was NO racist remark anywhere near me.

He was just a lieing cheating Attenion seeker, Mc Somebody or other.

Feels like a long time since our last home game. Northampton have had an easy ride against us the last couple of times we've met, and their last visit here was when they were cheated out of promotion - they'll be keen to make up for it. Can't see anything other than a straightforward win for them today.

Jermaine McGlashan. His face is still on my dart board (about to be replaced by Raj)

Since that Dover game all the Tinpot shithouse sides like them knew about the crowd, nowt off limits to run the clock down or wind up the fans. Exactly what Ebbsfleet did but we had the last laugh when no proof rightly ever found and they went down on PPG.

I think it’s a hard game to call. We’ve got Lewis back from suspension and new signing Saunders as extra options up from alongside Hemmings, an inexperienced keeper behind a fairly strong defence. I’d take a draw too.

Rochdale away.

If we’re really serious about having a proper go at a top 7 finish, these are the types of games we simply have to win. We’re on 2 wins in a row and have yet to string 3 wins this season. So on paper this represents a great chance to change that stat.

That said, in the home game earlier in the season we were extremely fortunate to escape with a point. 3-1 down, dreadful display, physically battered by Rochdale yet somehow scraped a 3-3. As bad a season Rochdale are having, they still scored 3 against donny recently and won at Bradford.

I think this will be a frustrating draw that will feel like 2 points dropped.

Rochdale 2-2 Carlisle United

Not so sure myself. Poor form, injuries mounting up. A week off will definitely have helped but will take a point.

I don't know if it's just when I check the scores but Hartlepool seem to get a lot more results under Keith Curle and have been pretty active in January. Why would it get toxic now?

The biggest issue with Singh is he seems to lack foresight. I do think the reason Hartlepool are where they are is because of that Scottish manager though. Which is the Singh's fault because he appointed him but at least he fucked him and a lot of his shit signings off.

First game since Jan 2nd for us. Great to get a big crowd in. Who we playing? Salford. Great to have a few people in and finally give Lindsey a game.

Not sure if Gladwin will start today but Nadersan, Lynch and Tilley are still injured and Balagizi has gone back to Liverpool. It will be interesting to see if the 3 hauled of the bus have been forgiven for their sins (could be for sticking up for Yems) or if the club are still refusing to play them.

Said to be a march against Wagmi today. They're a circus but we've got nobody in the wings wanting to buy us so it could be self defeating.

No idea on the result. We do manage to snatch defeat and draws from winning positions though.

New signing Harvey Saunders goes straight into the the Rovers starting xi, while Orient give a debut to loanee Kieran Sadlier, in what doesn’t look like a full strength line-up allowing for bans. Probably good enough to see off Rovers, though.

Thanks to Avanti West Coast I've not been able to make today's game.

Looking at the lineup we are playing 5-4-1 against a team which always draws so probably won't be a fun one to watch for those who did manage to make it to Wimbledon.

There should be an inquest why we let Hippolyte take that penalty.

A player who has consistently shown the weakest area of his game is end product. Camps, Wootton, Collar, Rydel all better choices.

We should be out of sight. Ajiboye can’t be handled. Hope we don’t regret not being well clear.
