Plus the young lad from Northampton who died at the Birmingham vs Leeds game when a wall collapsed on him. I've only just found out him, he quite clearly gets forgotten by most.

RIP to Ian Hembridge, and all from Bradford and Lincoln who perished on that fateful day x

What really makes me sad is the number of senior citizens who perished that day, and those handful of 10/11 year olds.

The Stacey West stand at Sincil Bank is named after the two, Mr West and Mr Stacey

Looking at the names on the memorial makes you realise that some families lost 2,3 even 4 loved ones, tragic

I'm just glad there was no fences up. I went there in 81 with Pools and stood on the huge open terrace and you could see how the stand was built and with hindsight it's easy to see how what happened could happen. There were dozens and dozens of grounds with wooden structures at the time and those 56 poor souls that died could have been any one of us, there but for the grace of God never rang so true. I can't imagine the suffering of the families , I hope time has been a healer but somehow I doubt it. Rest assured though, they will NEVER be forgotton
