Lots less relegations all the way down the pyramid this season it looks like, so some lucky teams getting reprieves. I think only 1 goes down from each of the league at either Step 2 or 3 which is madness really

Yeah we're cruising to the title at this point. We've done a fair bit of needless panic buying though in my opinion - basically anyone who plays well against us we just sign them for ourselves!

To be fair I think we might have underestimated how hard it would be to build a competitive squad from scratch. Looks like we managed to do that to cover the first month or two of the season but now we’re making constant tweaks to gradually improve the quality and put us in a better starting position for next season. We have to be looking at at least 3 straight promotions to keep interest levels high from the locals I think.

I can’t quite understand why there isn’t a merger with Bury AFC on the table. Immediate ready made place in the pyramid. Move back to Gigg. A likely few successive promotions and the club would be buzzing.

Oh, I know there’s been a lot of mud slinging. I just can’t understand why. Dividing 3000 fans across 2 clubs surely isn’t a recipe for success.

You’re right. It’s happened a few times and never worked well Northwich, Enfield and one that slips my mind all split for various reasons.
