Yeovil fans will be pleased to note I'm making a rare appearance at a home game, which greatly increases the likelihood of us not winning, plus we are traditionally abysmal on Tuesday nights, which is sadly when I'm most likely to go to games.

0-1, I reckon.

If we lose tonight mate our players can start packing their suitcases as the remaining games will be insignificant for us.

I don't know, I think we could still lose tonight and scrape the playoffs, given how weak the pack in the race are - but we'd be on such a dire run of form that the 4th place team would have an incredibly easy ride.

I'd happily end the season here but something in me thinks we could scrape the playoffs and then conspire to flunk them again.

To be fair the Yokels gave that a right good go, went piling into the challenges and generally read from the Ainsworth book of pressing and scuffling...oh and timewasting too. That's the first game for ages I've seen us not timewaste, mainly I guess because we had to go for the win.

If YTFC had had a finisher they could have done us over convincingly but thankfully they don't, and they didn't.

As 0-0s go it was an entertaining game with plenty of chances.

I take back the bit about us still being able to scrape the playoffs though. A mountain to climb now, 3 tough fixtures (especially if OUFC have something to play for on final day) and we just don't look like scoring.

Still, not a terrible season results wise, considering we have a worse squad than last time round.

If you count your own players, without the loanees you had last season, isn't it a better squad than last time round?

Michael Harriman has improved the squad since last season.
Paris Cowan Hall would have improved the squad - but got crocked practically on arrival.
Luke O'Nien has improved the squad.

Garry Thompson (ST) hasn't done much.
Sam Wood (LM) has been worse than last season.
Paul Hayes (ST) has scored a fair few less than last season.
Gozie Ugwu (ST) has hardly scored.
Jason Banton (RM/LM) was a flop and was shipped out.

So I think the core of the team is more or less the same, just that some of the players that did well last time round haven't done as well this season. And the loanees did make a big difference to us last season, Sam Saunders and Nico Yennaris were both absolute quality, Saunders especially being the creative spark that we really haven't had this time round.

McCarthy in defence has been a really good loan this season, but the attacking loanees we got in have failed to find the net.

Should have lumped money on the 0-0. We're safe so I suppose that's all that matters and it's yet another clean sheet, 9 in 12 which is great. Misfiring in front of goal though, Lita is taking a while to settle in.
