Best away form in the league vs 23rd in the league - what could possibly go wrong!

These are the games that we have the tendency to lose, but our away form this season has been simply fantastic.

Jake Reeves will be itching to play in this one, given his £150k transfer from Kingsmeadow in the summer - Dom Poleon, also. Unfortunately for Jake Reeves, since his injury 2 weeks ago, Nicky Law has slotted into the centre of midfield with relative ease, so Reeves may consider himself unlucky this time round.

Same team;

GK: Rouven Satilmaier

RB: Tony McMahon
CB: Matt Killgallon
CB: Nat Knight-Percival
LB: Tyrel Robinson

RW: Alex Gilliead
CDM: Romain Vincelot
CM: Nicky Law
LW: Paul Taylor

ST: Charlie Wyke
ST: Dominic Poleon

Wyke is in great form - scoring and creating aplenty. 3-0 City - Wyke, Poleon and Law on the scoresheet. 800 City.

We've beaten 1st and 2nd away from home, and lost to Bury and Plymouth in the relegation zone all 11 need to be up for it as it feels like we sometimes lack intensity against those near the bottom and just expect to win. Perform near our best and it should be comfortable, may as well keep the same team for the 3rd straight game if possible. Can't remember the last time that happened under McCall, I think Percival is injured though so Thompson will probably come in for him.

We were awful, for the performance alone we didn't deserve anything. That said as daft as it sound we should have won if not for giving them both goals through keeper howlers, and hitting the woodwork 3 times. Merry Christmas!

Edit: Just to add Lyle Taylor ripped our scabby defence to peaces today, so fair play to him.

For once Ardley's tactics of stifling the midfield with roadblocks like Trotter and Soares worked and Abdou sat very effectively on Reeves who can't do anything without time and space. So, notwithstanding large slices of luck and a dodgy keeper that gave us the points, very happy with that. If we're going down, enough there to show it won't necessarily just be with a whimper.
