It has become apparent in the last few weeks that personal information has been shared in the Shoutbox and then spread around the forum, or threatened to be posted around the forum. This is just a quick reminder to everyone, that sharing of personal information, threats of personal images and indeed postings of personal images/surnames/names is NOT acceptable under any circumstances.

To ensure this issue is quickly resolved - this thread will be a warning to anyone/everyone.

Any surnames - any personal images - any images edited that are posted, mentioned, or threatened to be posted by any member in the shoutbox, via PM, via personal social media of a site member or via any section of the forum.

Will result in a starting point 3 month ban and IP Block.

Amen to this - I don't mind banter, but it seems there are some members on here that just can't take anything seriously.

Maybe if they told us what actually happened then we would take it seriously?

Someone might have said something about someone's real life details and if you partake in other such unexplained activites we will ban you. Good job guys!

The issue with 'Rammy approves' is that Rammy himself doesn't approve of a potentially embarassing personal picture being slung around an internet forum - who can blame him.

What kind of personal information has been shared, and by whom? As SoC says above, it's not really clear what the problem is.

If I share personal information about myself in the shoutbox and then someone posts it elsewhere on the forum, isn't that my fault for sharing it in the first place? Is that what we're talking about here?

Or is it that a user has found information elsewhere (where?) about another user and shared it here without consent?

It's quite simple. Don't share anything about other people that they don't/wouldn't want shared. If you find yourself thinking before a post "Hmmm, should I post this, it might be deemed as something that that person doesn't/wouldn't want shared?" Then don't post it.

I don't think there'll be much room for manoeuvre on this one, and I doubt people testing the boundaries will be taken that lightly.

Anything posted on third party sites has sweet FA to do with 1FF - irrespective of whether it's a mock "1FF Account".

Anything relating to others personal info (photos or private info for example) that's posted on 1FF does have everything to do with the site and that's what will be acted upon.

Simple as that, no more no less.

On an issue like this why is there a need to have an example or explain the situation? (Not being funny) Surely this one explains itself?

People have had personal photo's taken from social media or private accounts and posted around the website without consent or thought for the circumstances.

Anyone calling people by last names, giving away personal information or stealing photo's from Facebook/Twitter etc will be banned.

The point of this post was to pre-warn people and give them a heads up that if they do against the warning in this post, they will be banned and the entire arguement of 'no warning' goes out the window.

I'll close it now so it serves it's purpose and isn't filled with pages of back and forward Twitter page arguements as that's nothing to do with 1FF.
