We were really poor I thought, very flat, but have won by the virtue of Hartlepool being even worse than us. Very little quality on show today bar perhaps a nice finish from Mackail Smith to win it.

Just want this season to be over now, I'm getting absolutely no enjoyment out of watching us at the moment, there are a few signs of what Jones is trying to do, couple of nice moves here and there, but it is hard not to conclude that half the squad needs shipping out for him to achieve anything so we're just in a state of limbo really.

Have to say I think Jones really needs to improve tactically and I hope he is learning a lot in this pre pre preseason. He left Pigott, who from what I have seen is not a particulalrly good player in any case, completely isolated today and played Marriott wide right and it just didn't really work, neither really looked like they knew what they were doing and as a result the movement up front was shockingly poor. Felt he should have changed it long before he actually did.

I have to say I wouldn't bother with Pigott any further for next season, he looks poor, too weak to be a hold up player, too slow to get in behind defences or stretch the game and he never seems to get on the end of things in the box, so I'm not really sure of his purpose.

Basically just meh, only 14 more games to go, roll on summer.

We were flat, unimaginative, uninspiring and boring.

Yet Hartlepool were worse.

 that's a sign of how bad we are then that our local radio, fans at the game, local journos on twitter, Hignett, the official site were saying what a good performance it was.

Must say by the commentary on Pools player that we were value for a point at least. And the pen sounded a bit ridiculous (?)

I was a million miles away from the penalty area, but letter of the law, if he puts his hands up, its a penalty. From what I could see it looked a bit harsh. A point would've been a fair result because both teams were as bad as each other.

Penalty was weird, think only green appealed. Happened quite quick so i didn't really get a decent look at it.

I think i agree with the Hartlepool commentators that they were value for a point as both teams where equally as shit and I think Hartlepool had the better chances. First half especially the winger missed an absolute sitter whilst O'Donnell thought it would be a good idea to stand and watch the ball role across his six yard box.

Hartlepool played much better football than us in the second half to be honest, they knocked it around quite well in the middle of the pitch. Liked the look of number 16, always looking to get on the ball and give his team-mates a short option (the opposite of how our midfielders behaved). Absolutely zero cutting edge though.

Yet, we probably only need 2 points a game for the rest of the season to get into the play offs. Stranger things have happened...

Doesn't seem remotely possible from afar.

I like Kenny's optimism! Only 2 points...;) Thing is you've got to remember that around 12 sides also need the points to win automatic promotion or to make the play offs, and then you've got another 6 sides - at least - who want to stay up and in need of points too.

Not saying Luton should just give up, but it sure would be one hell of an achievement should you lot make the po's.

Its not going to happen. We can't string two good games together.

We haven't won consecutive league games since mid-November. We are shit and lower mid-table is where we belong based on this disastrous season.
