I will be visiting Brum for two nights, before match & same night. Looking forward to it because I have never really been around the city centre before. Looks big on google. One of the few remaining places I haven't visited proper. I have been to both grounds but we just got straight off home after the match. Serious advice welcomed on pubs to visit, etc. Can you recommend a Greek restaurant for the missus cos she love greek food? I haven't looked on t'internet yet. Proper Greek restaurant's are well rare in Sheffield..... & well Rotherham.....fffuh !, forget it, no restaurants left here at all now (in the town centre), unless you count Maccy D's & one god awful Italian place, and one god awful curry house. Oh, and one god awful Chinese a fifteen minute walk away (about to closedown soon). Rotherham town has disintegrated so far it's sad. Never looked better though, strangely. Very neat/tidy but it's just 'Lipstick on a pig', a hollow sham of a pig.
In summary, back on point,... we need a couple of traditional type pubs where you can sit down to start us off, we can play by ear later. I've sussed out a Wetherspoons for cheap brekky. A Greek restaurant on wish list and a Mexican for back up, preferably non-chain. All city centre please. I'm there easy to find but if I have a name or two I can look them up on line first.
Cheers,
