Of all the panic appointments in the Premier League this year Pardew stood out as being by far the worst.

An awful manager, I'm not surprised it has ended so badly.

Now lets hope he doesn't move in punditry.

and he'll get in again at a premiership club next season because prem clubs only seem to appoint A: foreign manager or B: usual clump of failed previous prem managers.

mostly because of the press based viewpoint over the years that to somehow do ok in the league you need to have managed abroad or must have experience at this level, even though it seems to have done dyche or Howe no harm at all to hit this level with lower league experience only.

West Brom wasn't a solid enough proposition for this world-class manager. Guardiola and Mourinho wouldn't have managed a thing with the set of players currently at WBA. Pards is still up there with the best in the country/world.

I really though Pardew would keep West Brom up when he first signed.

He's excellent in his first season - it's his 2nd season which always gets him fired

Seems the players just never respected him from the start. Senior players let him down without doubt. Not standing up for him any way his recent record is abysmal.
