Both clubs have come a long way since I first saw them play each other in the early 70's, an FA Trophy game at Springfield Park which Wigan won 5-0 ! Seem to remember a winger called Micky Worswick who ran us ragged.
A million miles away from that tonight, we showed signs of recovering our form on Saturday and hoping that will continue tonight.
Shit or bust for us and a win at all costs is required, Blood, snot and sinew needs to be evident and I think the lads are up for this one. Really hoping Mcrory is fit to give us better balance down the left.
Safe journey to the Wigan fans too and from the Pirelli stadium but I'm sure you will understand that I hope you lose !

Bloody good performance from us I thought. Really pleased for Cloughie and the lads especially considering that, like for like, Wigan had better players in most positions on the pitch last night. I do get the feeling that a more experienced manager would have had the league sewn up for them by now but Caldwell has done very well regardless. They'll still win it.

Tricky game on Saturday now away at Colchester. We've struggled like feck to get anything from a lot of the teams in the bottom half of the table including two lacklustre draws with Crewe. Not just a Clough thing. We even struggled with Jesus Jimmy Lord Hasselchrist at the helm (amen).

To go up we'll need to play above and beyond our level three more times. Can virtually the same team get back to back promotions?

Yes and if we still had El Khayati we would have beaten you again as we did earlier in the season when he scored the winner.
