That was the worst play calling we've seen all season. Two runs with four minutes left on your own 20? WHAT? Too much pressure on third and fourth down, game on the line.
Can't believe Palmer escaped on that long play to Fitzgerald, reminded me a bit of Eli vs the Patriots escaping. Fair play to him, came through in the end and broke his playoff hoodoo. Larry Fitzgerald, I love you. Guaranteed to have a NFC title game I wanted, hopefully it's Carolina, but either way it will be awesome.
These playoffs have produced some classics, especially the endings! Sadly I can't watch Seattle-Carolina tomorrow, don't mind who wins, NFC Championship game should be epic. Has to be Brady-Manning for the AFC title tilt for me, will Big Ben even be fit tomorrow?
It would be much easier to take if we'd just gotten blown out...
Shows what a difference a fit o-line makes, and that Rodgers was able to get the offense going somewhat against a very good defense despite having in theory his top 4 receivers out of the game. We had chances to win, and you can't legislate for fluke TD catches when the ball's been tipped, which makes Hail Mary 2 a mere footnote of the game.
No idea what was going on with the toss or who won it originally or if it was right it should have redone, but that and then other factors make it hard to take. Especially after last year too - 2 years in a row we've gone to OT and lost when Rodgers hasn't had a chance to get on the field.
Cardinals won the toss both times, that's why Rodgers was telling the referee to re-flip the coin. The Cardinals were clearly annoyed that the referee picked up the coin and re-flipped. They really need to adjust the overtime rules - I don't see how people don't view it as unfair that a team doesn't get a chance to possess the ball. If you can't stop a TD drive it doesn't mean the other team are better than you, they might not be able to stop you either. They should at least adjust the rules in the playoffs where a fair result should be even more important.
Only saw the first quarter of the Cards game last night so seems missed out on a good game. Either way am pleased they won not least for Larry Fitz but nice to see an entertaining team like them do well.
Intriguing game between Seahawks and Panthers. Would like to see the Panthers do it however got a feeling Seattle are going to make just one or two more plays when it counts for some reason. Their luck certainly seems in anyway after they got out of jail in Minnesota and that can take you a long way in the playoffs. Sounds like Beastmode will return also.
As for the AFC game, don't like either team but it's hard to make a case for Pittsburgh winning it with Brown out against that D. Who knows how hurt Big Ben really is as he doesn't half act like a drama queen at times about these things for all his undoubted toughness. Can't see anything other than a comfortable Denver win especially with them coming off a bye week.
