The final month and abit of the season is already here!

Considering we have been terrible it's flew by, hopefully come 2nd May we will be looking forward too our 3rd year back.

Southend (A) - Lose. Shit away. Probably be 3/4 again
Strawberry (H) - Lose. No doubt a huge following from the Shrews, another 3pts on there march back to L1.
Plymouth (A) - Lose. See Southend, although can't see it being 3/4. Murray out chants to begin
Tranmere (H) - Win. Scrappy win, We need to win this. If Tranmere go on a run and take 3 points off us we are in trouble.
Cambridge (A) - Draw. Cambridge are pretty crap, we are really crap. Lets hope a point is all that's needed for us both to be safe and we can shake on a draw!
Portsmouth (H) - Draw. Pompey will have nothing to play for and it's usually the kind of game we lose.
Accrington (A) - Draw. Hopefully safe by this game.

21 points to play for, I can't see us getting no more than 6/7. It's going to be very close come the end of the season.

You only need 3 or 4 though , that said losing to Tranmere won't help you . I can't see Tranmere getting more than 9 points

Our April is horrible.

3/4 A Luton 1-2 W
6/4 H Newport 1-0 W
11/4 A Shrewsbury 2-0 L
14/4 A Wycombe 1-1 D
18/4 H Southend 1-1 D
25/4 A Hartepool 2-3 W
2/5 H Dagenham & Redbridge 2-1 W

14/21 points.
4 wins. 2 draws. 1 loss. Miss out on playoffs by 3 points.

The final 8 games will be very interesting for us, Easter obviously being a critical time.
Our run in starts tonight:-
Stevenage H
Plymouth A
Wycombe H
Luton A
Carlisle H
Morecambe A
Northampton H
Cambridge A
Hoping for a minimum of 10 points which would give us 86 and hopefully promotion.
I certainly don't want us to go into the last game needing a result as our record at Cambridge is woeful !

Our season is the next 3 games. Anything less than 6 points and we're all but relegated. We won't get the 6 points which is why we're 100% down in my opinion.

The 4 games after that are horrific. 4 certain defeats.

Portsmouth H - Lose
Accrington A - Draw
Dagenham H - Draw
Burton A - Lose
Plymouth H - Lose
Stevenage A - Lose
Hartlepool H - Lose

That will leave us on 43 points. Certain relegation, probably 24th place.

Cheltenham have a much harder set of games than you imo. Them plus tranmere and you will be fine.

Only 2 more points but by my predictions that would be just enough, Money will declare our season a success, the fans will lap it up and we'll have to go through the same torture next year.

51 points, safety. Curle out, McDonald gets sacked by West Ham and joins us, we win the play-offs next season.

I think we'll win one, draw one or two and lose the rest. So we'll end on 48 or 49 which should be enough with our goal difference.

I can see defeats against Bury, Northampton, Oxford and Burton for certs. It'll be the games against Accrington, Cheltenham and Mansfield where we need to pick up points.

We won't get that many, I'm just very optimistic.

Shrewsbury (A) L0-3. Like we're ever going to get anything there.
Wimbledon (H) L0-1. It'll be 1-0 to either side, can't decide which way so I'll be pessimistic.
Carlisle (A) W3-1. The one fixture I'm confident about, think we'll score a couple and win (hopefully anyway).
Luton (H). D1-1. The return of Still, who bloody knows.
Newport (A) W2-1. Optimistic, but I have a feeling (could be a stomach bug though).
Accrington (H) W1-0. Good record over Accy and we'll both have nothing to play for.
Exeter (A). L2-1. Last day, we're both safe and nothing to play for, who even cares ;)

Tell you what though, glad we are pretty much out of relegation trouble now or I wouldn't fancy that end to the season.

If we can get anything from the next 3 games it will be a real bonus - there is a chance we could very easily be within 3 or 4 points of the relegation zone come a week on saturday.

After that we have Tranmere at home and then cambridge away, which could be critical by then, eek!

On behalf of all of us can you please give Tranmere a royal thumping and consign them to relegation. We've done our bit so far against the bottom 3, taking 13 points from a possible 15 against them, and now everyone else needs to put in their shift. Not that we're ganging up or anything...

Tranmere Rovers
Stevenage A Lost two and drawn one of our previous trips to Broadhall Way Lose
Luton H Not got a great recent history against the Hatters, but with their recent loss of form might get something this time Draw
Southend A Most likely my last away game for a bit with Rovers as a league club and the Shrimpers will be too strong for us. Lose
Mansfield A Was hoping the Stags would have secured safety by now, but after the York hammering less hopeful, especially as their next 3 games are tough. Draw
Oxford H Last chance for Rovers to beat a relegation rival and we might just do it. Win
Plymouth A The Pilgrims are still likely to have something to play for here Lose
Bury H If things have gone as predicted, this match will be academic. Rovers already out of the league, the Shakers in the play-offs. Hope the treacherous Ryan Lowe doesn't show his face. Draw

Total 44 points; 23rd or 24th.

I also think (hope/pray?) we'll win one and draw two before we have to face Burton......but I can see us winning against Bury or Northampton just as easily as I can see defeats against Accrington, Mansfield and even Cheltenham now they've bitten the bullet and got Gary Johnson in.

A point is doable over Easter and a win against Accrington would calm the nerves. At that stage, zero goal difference would be worth an extra point and we'd be relatively safe provided we preserved the goal difference advantage. I think the extra draw will be Mansfield and Burton will beat us 4-3 (possibly 5-1 if they're already champions) to end their Abbey hoodoo.

Unfortunately, none of the above is likely, red cards and injuries could further muddy the waters and Richard will need some cuddles and/or a straitjacket if we are to avoid a meltdown and touchline ban before the end of the season.

Think we have a decent record against the champions on the last day(presuming burton do their job and win it) Accy, dagenham and fleetwood spring to mind, was Preston one to?

Anyway I'm struggling to see us actually picking up another point, dramatic as that may sound but we are so unbelievably shit at the minute and with dickie having his meltdown I just can't see us winning another football match this season.
