Are Forest the most unlucky team for injuries?

We must be.

Unbelievable what goes on at this club. Since our promotion back here in 2009 we have lost Bennett, Moussi, Blackstock, Cohen, Reid, Hobbs, Fryatt, Wilson, Vaughan, Assombalonga and Pinillos for a combined (and conservative) 12 years. TWELVE. Most of those have been in the last 24 months.

Today Lansbury was stretchered off with what looks like a obliterated ankle. Just as one player (Cohen) returns, we lose Pinillos and Lansbury for fuck knows how long.

Bar Blackstock, every single one has gone down with no one near them and not been seen again for a year+.

It is unbelievable. These are all key players, not jokers. It definitely fucked up our promotion push a couple of years ago and generally just slows down the clubs progress. Unreal.

Edit: Joe Garner and Tyson also had a combined 2 years injured.

Poor training methods.

They're doing an investigation into the CG pitch. Fryatt last year said something like its the hardest pitch he's ran on. And most of these injuries happen at home (Blackstock aside I think they all have)

Clearly they're all feigning injury after realising what a shit club they play for.... ;)

A bit like Newcastle in the mid 2000's.

Think you've still got quite a way to go to match us... Still not seen Macleod play, and we signed him over a year ago. By the time Hogan plays again he'll have been out for 2 years. Bjelland got injured on his debut this season and was out for the year. We lost McEachran and Jota for 5 months (still not fully fit), Colin and Saunders for 3 months, Djuricin and Gogia each for over 2 months. On top of that we've also had injuries to Tarkowski, Yennaris, and a couple of others for at least a month each. I'm sure there are a couple of others I've forgotten to mention.

That's about 3.5-4 years total just from the last 6 months. No wonder we had such a slow start, amazed we have as many points as we do!

Thankfully, most bar Bjelland and Hogan are at least back in training, so we should have a fully fit squad from now on (touch wood).

At least when Forest get injuries you replace them with high quality international players like Nelson Oliviera and Bojan Jokic. We aren't all so lucky to be able to do that.

There could well be something in that. We train on a public park that is predominantly clay-based and it's been well-known for years that it's at the root of many of our injuries.

Too hard in the summer, and too slippery once you've had some rainfall.

We are under embargo and can't spend any money on a fee, whilst offering a max of £10k a week. If we can sign these "high quality international players" then you can too.

That's pretty unfortunate. This season we've lost Tesche to a broken foot, Pinollos crickets and Lansbury TBC. Still plenty of time for someone else to go yet.

What ever happened to Andy Reid? I'm sure he was back and playing in the reserves in September?

He did, then disappeared again. Think we will be unlikely to see him again. Huge shame as he is a terrific player and has been great for us since his return. His game never relied on pace so I felt that he could still contribute for the next 2/3 seasons, particularly at home. Looks like it isn't to be.

Gonna tempt fate but we've been semi fortunate with injuries on the whole. Byram had a slow season a couple back due to missing pre season...a couple of months have been the worst for key players. Only long term absentees that I can think of in recent years have been for fringe players like Bianchi, Bromby etc. Davide Somma was the big one that was a shame a few years back. Could have had a great career here.

But yeah we don't tend to suffer too badly.
