Fair enough on the anonymous voting, although in this day and age I struggle to understand why some people, and not just in the UK but all across Europe and the rest of the democratic world, want to keep their political beliefs private. We're not living in North Korea or third world South African state for god's sake.

Not even close to any of our parties except for the greens who I actually voted for in the last GE as I couldn't bring myself to vote for any of the others.

Are there any examples of this happening? I'm sure I remember hearing it but I can't be sure. To be fair there are jobs out there that aren't suitable for people who have extreme views on race, crime etc. No one's getting sacked for having general right wing views though I'm sure.

Not quite what I was looking for as not even the school was named. The tories aren't overly popular amongst teachers after the changes they've made though so it's feasible he found people didn't like his views. Any tory in our job would probably get stick too just as any softie green would get stick in other jobs.

Merkel was a conservative? Seriously? She allowed an open door policy for immigrants and she refuses to hold a German flag so she doesn't offend people. Well she didn't stop in the centre, she went all the way to the left.

As for Trump, well only time will tell how he'll do but sometimes the only way to put out a fire is for another fire to be lit.
