Total home banker.

Just depends how much we lose by. 5-0 last season, reckon it'll be another similar score this time. Fortunately, there'll not be 300 there in fancy dress to get let down this time.

Nice short trip for you Poolies then. Will be strange to not see you guys in fancy dress as that normally seems to be the case when you come to sunny Devon. Or is that just normal northern attire?

It does scream home win this one, which means the most likely result is 1-0 Hartlepool Nathan Thomas screamer. I'm glad he's doing so well for you lot as I liked him here and never felt he got a fair chance. Carey and Garita both taken off through injury last week but not as bad as we thought, Carey fit and Garita 'likely' to be fit.

Can we just cancel the trip and give you a 1-0 win?

Fully expecting a very defensive 5-3-2 formation (If Jones is fit). Probably won't venture over the half way line other than from a long kick downfield from our keeper. Hopefully he can ping one onto Thomas' left boot again and he can do the rest.

Seriously, providing Paynter is left on the bench I think we can nick a goal from somewhere. Amond/Thomas have the pace to cause problems upfront, and Toto is due a MOTM performance at the back.

We are normally the kings of breaking a teams losing streak - so it's about time we break a teams winning streak.

Dear me .... if it was so predictable put your house on it ... Football always makes fools out of the form book ....let's look at the facts here ...we are unbeaten in 2 and 1 goal conceded it 180 mins ....will Plymouth go unbeaten till the end of time ? Of course not ...all runs come to an end ....... I'm going for a draw , but a Pools win would not mean the end of the world

My boys have a soft spot for you, they found the whole Star Wars thing hilarious. I had to break it to them they you won't be in fancy dress tomorrow. I found that you supported your team in exactly the right way, and hats off to you. Worth noting that of the goal scorers Harvey has left and Rooney cannot get near the pitch.

Think we are solid in the back four and the midfield is growing in strength the issue is that at the moment our forwards are not as clinical as a group as last year. We are however a much bigger and more physical team. Our key man as ever is Carey, but Garita looks like he will cause problems, but I'd guess after his injury last week he'll be on the bench.

Always had felt Thomas has something, just he was hot and cold. I seem to remember trying to get him playing wing-back might not have helped. Alessandra always looked like he should play at a higher level until he shot at goal. Great servant to the club.

How big a problem for you is Magnay's injury? How many do you expect to travel down?

Sounds like Alessandra hasn't changed much then. He has probably been our most influential player so far this season, other than Thomas, but he certainly knows how to skew his shot high and wide.

Magnay's injury is not a huge problem. Donnelly slotted in nicely last week and impressed. Not much got passed him and he seems more composed going forward than Magnay. It does however mean Donnelly is moving over from left back, which means Carroll will be back in that position. He hasn't had the best of starts to the season and been caught out a number of times which have been costly and lead to him being dropped.

I would expect around 70 fans to make the trip - third time down your end of the country so can't see many other than the exiles making the journey.

I hope the reference to bigger and more physical applies to your strikers - Toto and Harrison will have a field day if that is the case. However, two nimble centre forwards and they (Harrison especially) will get turned inside out.

Will probably be a one sided affair in terms of possession as I think we will come for a 0-0, but unlike last year, we actually have players who can create chances.

I remember Lewi got a fair few penalties for Rueben to put away, is that still the case.

The size is really across the pitch, we're just bigger and less likely to be bullied. Our centre backs have scored a few goals from set pieces. In terms of forwards it depends who Adams plays and in what combination. Goodwillie is 5ft7in I think. Spencer and Garita are more target men of the traditional 6 plus type, but Garita unusually combines it with pace, and appears even more unusually to have control. See a video of the goal he scored last week, he outmuscled and then outsprinted both CBs.

The heartbeat of the team are the short simple passes by Fox in midfield and then the delivery of Carey.

They are probably bigger teams than us (Wycombe?), but we are much stronger than the previous two years and don't seem to get bullied, whereas last year we did.

Anyway I am looking forward to it, the rain is due pretty much on full time I think.

I'm hanging my hat on Rob Jones being fit so we can put a 5-3-2 out. If not I fear the worst.

Plenty up front, but we need the ball first and I don't think we're going to see a lot of it, so it's damage limitation time.

I hope to be pleasantly surprised, but so did John Wayne Gacy's victims. :err:

For the love of Christ I hope he doesn't go 5 at the back tomorrow we will get tanked, we were impotent against fucking Yeovil with 5 at the back until he changed it at half time.

Expecting a defeat so anything else would be a bonus!

First half was a bit boring, both sides played possession in their own half. Although I suspect Thomas's goal was a cross you deserved to be one-up, though I am convinced we should have had a penalty for hand-ball.

Second half you seemed to drop off and we made some good substitutions, and we deserved to score. That said, although was at the wrong end, I was not convinced it was a pen. Still made up for the one we should have had. At the end it was very exciting, and I really thought we were going to score again.

Does Paynter get sent off often? I could not believe that he almost got sent off from his first kick of the game! Indeed, it looked like he could not believe he was not getting sent off, as he was already walking off the pitch.

I haven't seen Plymuff (wasn't at the game this season) but Wiccam are ginormous (and not just talking about the Bayonic Man)

What a soft penalty to give, the Plymouth lad went down like he'd just took a bullet, disappointed to let it slip so late but there won't be many teams going to Plymouth this season and taking a point home.

Or you could say how that save from your keeper in the first half, in hindsight, gained you a point, not the ref losing you two. Top right hand corner, its going in and somehow he palms it around. Top draw stop, one of the better ones I have seen at home park, worth applauding and I did.

As to the ref for sixty minutes he gave some strange decisions against us, and for thirty minutes some strange ones for us. I would have preferred a straight 45/45, but hey ho.

In the first half one of your players had a brain fart and assumed he was going up for a line out. I doubt all season both on tv and live I will see a more obvious hand ball penalty.

When Pantyer kicked the ball away with his first kick and got a yellow card, he retreated and obviously said something. The ref instantly rushed over, put his hand to his pocket. In the meantime Pantyer realised he was about to break the world record for a sending off, mouthed something again and marched towards the dugout knowing he was off. Ref had to make a comical change of direction, realised he had just booked him, put his card back and in his best teacher impression gave the player 100 lines. He bottled it, and there was enough in the game to make a difference.

So we can argue who got the worst deal from a mediocre ref, but lets agree your keeper earnt his corn today with one piece of magnificance.

Adams got it wrong. Had he of started Spencer over Goodwillie we'd of won that. Playing a lonely 5"7 striker doesn't work, I don't know why he fails to see that

How come your squad seems quite large? We have 26 of which two are recovering from long term injury, and one has just been sent out on loan. Yet you have 31 listed, I cannot imagine your crowds are bigger than ours. Lots of kids? Good first eleven, poor after that?
