“Liverpool are a good example to follow,” Wenger told his pre-match press-conference today – reported by the Telegraph.

“They’re a big club. I can understand the frustration of our fans. But, despite that, they want to support our team.

“The best chance they can give our team is to be behind our team. Some groups of people try to manipulate our fans, and I believe apart from an agenda, a personal agenda, a big ego, there’s not a lot behind it."

Wenger knows...top class manager!

Feel a bit sorry for Wenger. This season was his chance to finally win the league again considering the state the other big clubs are in and it's gone to fucking Leicester. Arsenal fans are a weird breed, I'll grant him that, but to blame them in any form for this calamitous season is batshit crazy. Seems like he's actually going out of his way to tarnish his legacy. Put the old dog out of his misery for crying out loud.

He's asking the Arsenal fans to keep any criticism of the team/manager to themselves and live with constant mediocrity while still being considered a "big club" and he chose Liverpool fans as his prime example! I'm not sure it's a compliment.

"There is only one way to live with the idea of death, it is to try and transform the present into art."

That about sums it all up. One of the greats. There will never be another.

No there won't.

The training facility at Colney and the Emirates stadium were his vision for the club. He help fund a majority of the cost through player sales. Many of whom were nothing until Wenger transformed them. In selling these players, the financial constraints he had to work under and the personal glory he sacrificed, marks him as someone whose achievements (on and off the field) can't be replicated. If not for Wenger doing what he did, it would be impossible.

If Walcott scores 20 goals this season, and then every season for the next 10 years, he still won't have come close to what Ibra has achieved in his career.

Doing better this season to be fair, Ibra hasn't had a bad start but he is 35 and obviously not the force he once was.

Well if those 20 goals a season contributed towards winning the league every year for the next 10 years, the champions league every year for the next 10 years and England winning the World cup and Euros, then actually I think he may just surpass Ibra.

Still won't have won, what, 9, 10 consecutive leagues over 4 nations?

Although, even in this hypothetical scenario, he's scoring the goals but Arsenal aren't winning anything more than jobber trophies like the FA Cup.

England wining the Euros and World Cup is beyond even the wildest of imaginations.

Ibra has spent most of his career in weak European leagues, only finally earning a move to the Premier League in the twilight of his career. He's now being found out.

Walcott has played at a top level Premier League club for most of his glittering career.

Walcott also has better hair.

Not even a good attempt.

Gerrard went to La Galaxy at the same age as Zlatan. How much of his current performances there to you take into account when evaluating his career? Saying Zlatan's being found out is ridiculous. He's 35 and has scored 4 goals in 8 games which is reasonable for a striker, especially in the beginning.

Zlatan looked terrible for United at Liverpool on Monday night. Really really bad. Past it. Walcott was magnificent against Liverpool, scoring and even having a penalty saved. No doubt who is the bigger asset to their team.

Zlatan used to be good but so did Kevin Keegan, and I wouldn`t take him over Walcott.

Zlatan is still a force in the box, and that value shouldn't be underestimated, but his all-around play has been poor. The spaces he likes to occupy interferes with Pogba. I would be interested to see this United attack:

Rashford
Martial - Pogba - Mkhitaryan

Of course Theo will never go down in history as a better player than Zlatan, but...

Current status: Theo > Zlatan

Monday - Draw Bayern Munich in the Champions League
Tuesday - 1-0 up to 2-1 down v Everton
Sunday - 1-0 up to 2-1 down v City

A typical Arsenal week.
