I try to remain pragmatic towards sport, i.e. 3 points are available each match therefore they're all equally important towards our title chances unless we're facing Manchester City, or perhaps Leicester. There is the indeterminable and reactionary "supporters momentum" which in a vacuum means nothing.

However, winning this—against the only top side we haven't beaten, with players soon to be returning from injury—would feel like it's worth much more.

I don't have a prediction, I just hope Özil and Alexis are fit enough to start.

Jose's gone so you've got a chance this time at least.

we always struggle against the stokes and chelseas of the world. If Ozil is fit we should win. I hope Gabriel plays and goes Blood Sport on Costa

Whoever wins this game will surely be safe from relegation this season.

Dive from Costa to get Mertesacker sent off after making no contact with him at all. Silly to dive in like that, though.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
No one bothering with this one then?

Costa? Cheating?

I refuse to even contemplate such a thing...

I've mixed feelings about that red card. It was a stupid tackle, he was the last man so it deserved a red .............. but it didn't look like he actually made contact, so Diego Costa cheating again. It was kind of amazing any player would even dive in that position, he was through on goal!

This is such a typical Arsenal / Chelsea game. It's as if Mourinho never left!

Can someone tell me why Arsenal fans boo Fabregas? Don't understand it.
Chelsea fans boo him too as do their stewards except last week when he and Costa were again deemed saints. Hypocrites.

If i were hiddink id be fuming at ivanovic there. Not because he doesnt score the header but because he just stands there holding his head while arsenal break down his side.

I think most sets of fans would boo a player who used to be their captain after signing for one of their biggest rivals. I doubt Arsenal boo all their ex players, it's obviously different when someone signs for Chelsea or Spurs. More poignant considering Fabregas was once their pride and joy.

Loved that. Really seriously enjoyed it. So accurate. That sort of thing would actually totally happen IRL! Haha. I give it five bags of popcorn.

Do the pundits really think Mertesacker is looking for the linesman there? I thought it was pretty obvious he's looking to see where the next defender is.

That one from Koscielny on Fabregas there could have easily been given.

Last 5 minutes you'd think Arsenal had the man advantage tbh.
