Why does Ross Barkley make striking, or indeed passing, the ball look ridiculously more complicated than it actually is? When taking corners or free kicks he swings his leg in such a deliberately overly dramatic "look at me" fashion for no great reason.
Arsenal could have made it easier for themselves had they made more use of the chances they created. They need more midfielders who can slow things down at times. But after all, top of the league, can't complain too much.
It seems like a time of bench did well to Giroud. He was participatory in the game though he is not that fast but could bring some offensiveness and his one-two plays were very correct. And Ozil's crossing to Giroud's goal was truly well executed. All in all the game was from Arsenal and Everton's goal, despite coming of a nice play from Barkley, was only conceded because of Gabriel Paulista.
