2-0 Arsenal. I expect Bilic will play a weaker side in Romania on Thursday so whoever plays for West Ham in that won't play against Arsenal on Sunday.Couple of West Ham fans i know would rather Bilic plays his strongest side against Astra Giurglu.

Cech
Bellerin Mertesacker Koscielny Monreal
Ramsey Coquelin Cazorla
Oxlade-Chamberlain Özil
Walcott

2-0. Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ramsey.

I expect West Ham to be in a fight with Palace, Southampton, Stoke, and Swansea for 7th-11th, but it will take a few months for them to gel. Plus they can't play Jenkinson in this match and the Valencia injury was a blow.

Sanchez might be available for this, unbelievable. He only returned to training yesterday lmao. He probably wont even make the bench but the fact Wenger has said we'll see what he's like at the end of the week is quite incredible.

This is Wenger we're talking about though, he'll probably start Sanchez and play him the 90 minutes. And Wilshere.

Walcott should not be starting up front though.

Arsenal on the opening day always has the capacity for a shock but I think this is a nice opening match for them. West Ham will take a while to gel and I'm not convinced in Bilic anyway. I'd say a fairly comfortable start for Arsenal by 2 or 3 goals.

I'd agree with everyone else, it will be a standard 3-0 and our season will start like every season.

16 year old England U17 captain Reece Oxford starts for West Ham. Great faith shown in him, massive game for the kid.

I never use 'lol' you shitbag! I'd probably go 3-0 as well. Though it's a slow start.

No expectations of a result at Arsenal, but we're playing well so far. The line-up was obviously going to have Tomkins in for Jenkinson and play narrow across the middle, surprised to see Oxford entrusted but I like a manager who plays youth and keeping Nolan out of the team brings me joy as well.

Oxford hasn't really looked out of place so far either.

Thought I'd already posted in here. Obviously not.

I'll be honest and keep the same prediction. I thought Arsenal would (and still do) win rather convincingly. It's a cliche, but they really are one top striker away from challenging for the title.

Arsenal 3-0 West Ham

All the build of from Sky about how Cech would win Arsenal 12 points more than Ospina. Brilliant

Coquelin needs to realise his limitations and stop trying to pass more than 15 yards. I think I've counted four awful wastes of possession in that first half.

Poor defending by Arsenal and poor keeping from Cech for the goal.
