The funniest thing about the result, aside from the fact we don't have to listen to that prick Rodgers or the media bang on about the final being Gerrard's last game for Liverpool and his birthday, obviously, is that Villa completely outplayed Liverpool today and fully deserve to go through to the final. But I'd much rather say that Villa thoroughly deserved to win the match, from start to finish. They were the better team and it would have been 2-0 had it not been for a lucky deflection. I was very, very impressed which partially comes from underestimating them. Both goals were class and if they play like they did today, they stand a fair chance of beating Arsenal.
