I'm not reading too much into this as I don't think it really means anything. If you look at the NL one, you'll see that Gateshead is above Boreham Wood. Now I've not been fortunate enough to visit BWood's ground , but otoh I'm sure that Gateshead's is the worst Connie ground for atmosphere.

ps - sorry I meant Gateshead's better than NFU not BWood.

Just picture at least half the people who scored this and what their version of "atmosphere" amounts to. No problem with that - as shoddycollins implies, the main intended audience/beneficiary is fellow contributors. I'm confident that a 1FF version (especially L2 and NL) of the score would be significantly different - especially as it would be all about the negatives. I'm sure someone out there can come up with a scoring system that captures the magic of York's bogs, 'shot's terrace, the Abbey's cow pasture, Mansfield's safety committee, Lu'on's backyards and Crawley's roundabout.

I think it's just based on the ratings given by visitors to the ground.

I refuse to believe that the atmosphere at Stevenage is better than the atmosphere at Arsenal. Also MK Dons are clearly some distance adrift at the bottom simply because fans don't like the club, objectively the atmosphere's probably not that bad, and how in holy hell is the atmosphere at Blackpool better than the atmosphere at Northampton?

By the way, if you rank them by overall rating then Luton are 92nd!

Also how Brighton come top of the pie rating mystifies me. There's no such thing as a pie south of Warrington, just something that southerners and midlanders think is a pie, but isn't.

I took a little look at some of the individiual ratings, they often add which match they saw and there does seem to be a little truth in saying that when the away team won, their fans gave the stadium a better rating.

Unfair to say South of Warrington considering we have Wright's Pies in Crewe and Stoke and they're wonderful. Unfortunately, beyond there the quality of pies are a disgrace...

In all seriousness though it just seems like someone's had fun with a random number generator, atmosphere at most grounds in England is sterile due to the changes the game has undergone in the last 30 years.

Just to go off message, prompted by the other scores on that site and comments above, I have to say that the best pies I've come across are provided at Piebury Corner, along with the roast tatties, but I've no plans to re-visit the Emirates until the U's are playing there ......... and Morecambe have won years of credit and loyalty with the free (excellent) pie they provided, which lives equally long in the memory.

Southport's bogs were quality too, a little portacabin with 2 toilets so close together that you had to hold hands with the guy next to you to have a piss.
Eventually the fence behind it became the main toilet area instead, ahhh I do miss the Conference.......

We're higher than I thought we would be.

The atmosphere at Whaddon Road is awful most of the time, and even when it does get going behind the goal, the low roof stops the noise getting out. I've been behind the goal thinking the atmosphere was out of this world before, only to speak to someone near the halfway line who tells me they couldn't hear a thing.

As my Luton colleagues have said, the atmosphere at The Kenny hasn't been what its used to be. That said, that's not necessarily a bad thing - the club have tried to promote more of a family atmosphere.

There are some laughable stadiums ahead though - Meadow Lane: 4,500 people in the stadium out of 20,000 capacity. Carrow Road Norwich is the most feeble atmosphere in football. London Road Peterborough - really, more so than The Den?!

This was a special game in terms of atmosphere, but to be fair it was like this for the majority of the season at SB. I expect it will be the same next season too.

We raised the roof in some games last season. I would ask any Barnet, Accrington and Plymouth fans their thoughts on our home crowd cranking up the volume.

Barnet - 1-0 down and then 2-1 up with either goal 30 seconds of each other. That raised the roof.
Plymouth - 2-2 last game of season 15/16. Great atmosphere that day.
Accrington - 1-0 down, win 2-1 and Will Norris saved 2 pens.

Those games stand out to me for a great noise on the day.

That match against us was in 15/16, not last season!
I have to agree with you that your lot were loud after your team turned it around.
The Hive is not a hotbed of atmosphere, especially when there is a small away following. It doesn't help that sitting in the main stand at the Hive is much more attractive than standing behind the goal. Our best atmosphere was undoubtedly for the league clinching match against Gateshead at the end of 14/15.
